My family has the misconception that because I love horror, that I don't get scared. Oh no, I definitely get scared but love it at the same time 😂. I feel like Jessica emulates this so well in this video!

The owner of the property has such amazing memories i could listen to him all day, what a great well put together haunt, i bet it's a totally different feeling when all the Scare Actors are all in play. Spookywoods was my local big haunt growing up and it was/is a treasure! I met Tony and Donna and they were so friendly to me when I was just a teenager who was interested in haunts. They let me work in the house, the ghost town, and the Spookywoods and it was some of the best times ever! Now, about 18 years later, I run my own charity haunt so that I can hopefully help create fun memories for the people in my community like Spookywoods did for me.
The owner Tony, what a nice gentleman he is. I could listen to his stories for hours. The memories he has just made my heart feel good. Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us. As always Happy Halloween,

We had a haunted forest hay wagon ride at a buddies farm years ago in the 80's . It was very cool with a werewolf following the wagon. Until some kid fell off the wagon and got hurt and had to shut er down after only a week 😎🇨🇦

He followed his passion & persistence & patience & blood, sweat & tears (hopefully no real blood 😂) made his dream come true & it’s his full-time income as a man! I love small business success stories & this is definitely one - & it put a smile on my face!

Wow, i have lived in the triad for 16 years and have never been to spookywoods at night, i have been to kerseyvalley in the daytime for the pumpkin patch and other events. I scare very easily and dont think i could handle it ( jumped multiple times watching this ) however as an artist and photographer. i can truly appreciate and absolutely love the AMAZING and Beautiful details that were imagined, designed, physically created, the cost, time and effort to build, the fact that so much is repurposed to build into another set or character. my mind is truly blown i had no idea there was so much behind the scenes. Congratulations and thank you to the owner, and all of his staff for EVERYTHING they do to make this such a success. i have several friends who are scare actors their and know many who have enjoyed this place for many years. I wish i could physically see it in person but due to health reasons i have to appreciate from a distance. Thank you to the creater of this channel for making this video and showing those of us unable to go in person this little glimpse inside the town of kersey valley ..

That was awesome deluxe!!! What a totally creative, creepy, eerie, all absorbing story and haunt with so much detail n music n sounds n animatronics n the sets are like an actual theatrical stage play with many scene changes all strung together to create a magnificent story n haunt!!!! The hand painted star n cloud ceiling is phenomenal!!! It looks just like the projected ceiling in the first Harry Potter movie in the banquet room at the Hogwarts Castle!!! It is a wonder!!! 🌃🪄🌚🖤Also very very impressive are the moving portraits, which again, remind me of the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle portraits that are moving and interactive, but yours are totally spookier and more in depth!!! I have never seen art like that in my 65 yrs of life, and I am a student of all types of paintings!!!Using wood from the actual "Spookywoods" themselves is an intensely involved concept putting spiritualism into the equation, just as you said Michael!!! Great observation!!! Attagirl, Jessica, for getting the body bag named after you, as well as for even going through those extremely scary n nerve wracking haunts as you do so well!!!!, The people who worked there and narrated were excellent speakers, and you could tell they were totally dedicated to their work, which is so refreshing these days, especially among younger people!! The owners ingenuity and creative drive and vision since a teenager is so impressive, and the entire staging of the buildings way off in the eerie gold n orange light as seen through the cornfield is epic!!!!This is one of the BEST CREATIVE and professionally polished haunts you have ever presented to us. The last tour guide with the long greenish hair is an excellent speaker and narrator and instructor and really is a very very talented designer as are all the workers there!!! Greatest haunt you have ever shown so far as I have been observing for almost a year now!!!! Attaboy, Grimms!!! Thank you ever so for this presentation!!!🪄🎃💥💯🌟🖤🧡🧡🖤⚰️🔮🪦🗝️🎃🌠🌙💀💩👺💫
Ever since I was a little girl I've been scared of haunted houses. It is scary ....!! 😨 I had a heart attack this past March. A few weeks later I was standing at the kitchen sink. I felt someone tap me on my right shoulder. I thought it was one of my grandkids wanting something. I turned around and no one was there. The grandkids were sitting at the kitchen table playing. They weren't paying me any attention. I thought... I wonder what that was all about? It was kinda strange, especially right after having that heart attack. 😳😱

Kersey Valley is a perfect example of what a fantastic haunt should look like. It has an indepth story that seeps into your surroundings flawlessly. Everything is executed with perfection, and nothing seems out of place either. Now I want to see what it's like with the scare actors inside. Definitely adding this to my bucket list!

I really loved their take on props and making so many props interactive for the actors! I've been really loving this series so far in general. It's great seeing how much passion everyone has for their sites and its been really interesting how different each tour has been led by the different workers.
Awesome haunt. The cave mine was great. I love how Joe used "we" for everything, instead of taking all or any of the credit.
What a cool old school claustic haunt. The smaller the space the better for those tronic's and sound is amplified big time in the space. Scaretastic!
This might actually be my favorite Grimm life collective video of all time! So awesome seeing the love, knowledge and passion these individuals have for what they do. My grandma’s sister used to have a corn field in Colorado and it was terrifying - even during the day 🫣. There’s something about the sound the wind makes when it travels through corn stalks.

But THIS is another level. These people are all so creative and passionate I just love it. They all love their jobs and you can tell. They got the formula right here and it shows. I know people who have worked here and almost worked here myself and can honestly the staff is amazing!! I was so excited when I saw this come across my notifications. I tell everyone to go here!!

Aww he is nostalgic and I love that thank you for going into these places and getting the beginning story for us... I growing up used to go every summer to a campground now we we are talking about a trailer park built by the owners in 77 and they camped the whole time they were making from woods to a campground anyway they never did much when it came to upgrades so they had this big ole barn and they kept everything lol every car they ever drove etc lol but they closed up oct 1 so they always celebrate Halloween the last weekend so they had hayrides thru the woods and they let the kids do a haunted house in the old barn omg we would do all kinds of different things we saw in movies my favorite was when they did a scene when they had a lil girl praying at the bottom of the bed like a normal thing and as she started to lay down Freddie jumped out of the covers ahhhh everyone went screaming running out the door and Leatherface was there to meet them with his chainsaw truly scary for a kid in the early 90's

I work there!! its so amazing and all the staff is so nice and considerate about everything. Kersey Valley is Family Fun and Friendly for all ages! but when it get dark.....that's when Spooky woods comes to play! they have positions for everyone and all things scary! even the food!

I went through as a customer in 1988. I was there when they still had the slide. I made Spookywoods my #1 stop for the season each year I was able to go. Now, I work there! I started as a scare actor in 2017 and have been a midway character since 2019. I also work year round on Zipline, laser tag, axe throwing and help paint and stain some before the busy season starts. Thanks for coming out! You both did a spectacular job showing the amazing behind the scenes fun stuff!
