I love those wing tanks. Not only do you get an absolutely bulletproof fuel level indication, but it looks like you get a pretty good angle of attack indication too.
This is a beautiful location and airport. Flying from such a strip looks very interesting. For another airport with a similar layout, you'd probably find Falwell Airport, in Lynchburg, Virginia to be equally fascinating.
@@mmatt Thank you, It was actually the first time I painted with the "Endura" paint which was supplied with the kit, My previous experience has always been with Poly Fiber paints. The original owner ( J.P.M. ) was undecided between a Challenger or the Chinook But after taking a demo flight in my Challenger decided on the Chinook ( He is 6'3" tall, and in my Challenger his knees were up close to his chest :) Thanks for the great videos!! Keep up the great work !!
I’m trying to find plans for a chinook do you know where I can find them, I can’t get ahold of aeroplane manufacturing and I’m pretty sure they’re the only ones building them right now.
Sept. 24, 2012 marked the 100th anniversary of Cecil "Bird Boy" Peoli's take-off from the Charlottetown exhibition grounds. By all accounts it was the first airplane (The Red Devil) to take flight on Prince Edward Island. Who would of thought that a mere 107 years later we’d be watching a flimsily single engine plane flying precariously through the air?

Yes on both counts!
And the fuel isn't in the cockpit if you crash!
Nice aeroplane and pity we don’t see more pictures of it
Fun flying. Thanks for posting.
Top job Mate.
WOW that looks like fun.
Nicely done.
Nice airstrip. Videos keeping me motivated to get my chinook flying again!
Would ya sell it im lookin for one
@@alexandsim1551 sold both chinooks spring of 2020.
Nice. Imagine being able to fly yourself to work every day. Waving at the gridlock traffic below, giggling.

Beautiful sky’s and terrain. CAVU
Beautiful countryside.
Oh my god, C-IJPM, I was the person who painted this Chinook when it was first built, I'm happy to see it in action, great aircraft, enjoy :)
Nice work! It's a really fun plane to fly. :-)

Any Trenholms left in PEI? Haven't seen any of the relatives in 60 years or more.
Always good to a Chinook flying, was wondering does the cockpit stay dry in the rain?
Lots of good places to set er down if need be.
About how long were your takeoff and landing rolls?
Thanks for not having music.
How much did that ultralight cost$
How long was this field? It looks close to what I have.
About 1600 feet if I remember correctly.

I called and left a message, and someone named John called me back within an hour.

In what part of the world is this taking place
Prince Edward Island, Canada.
I like this channel
i always imagine me taking my wife for a ride like that , oh my goodness !!!
How do you feel about the 912 on a chinook?
I have never flown one but I hear that the extra weight located so high up makes them a bit unstable.
mmatt oh, I thought this one had a 912
How's it dead stick ? float nice ?
Yes, it has a pretty good glide ratio for a light plane.
There is enough runway for a 747 lol
Is this on PEI ?
Yes it is.
What app were you using to log the flight?
It's just a generic topographical map app. It's not an aviation based app. It's called Canada Topo Maps. Made by Atlogis. Works great for UL flying.
Самолёт бы лучше снял да рассказал о нём. Какой нам интерес смотреть на кабину самолёта и небо, практически всё видео?
