That part of the song caught my ear immediately when I saw the film (I think the moment we first hear it is when Mrs Darling is explaining to the children why their father is brave) and it has stayed with me ever since. The music is so delicately powerful and the feelings it evokes are nothing short of magical.
Well this takes back a lot of memories to my childhhood I love this film, its the best film adaptation of the story we've seen. :) I am actually performing on stage in the show as one of the pirates soon so hearing this music is just so magical. Listening to this masterpiece of a soundtrack allows one to just escape to Neverland
0:00 - 1:33 How is it possible that the sounds of notes can create such emotion? I just want to sob every time I hear that part ( 0:00 - 0:13 because it sounds like someone is hearing about something really sad that happened, 0:14 - 0:48 because it sounds like that someone is trying hard to see the goodness in that sad thing, 0:49 - 1:22 because sounds like the person is accepting the sorrow, and then 1:23 -1:33 sounds like the person is looking forward and moving on to a brighter future).
