seriously, im tired of the game's management. im really disappointed as a human being with the management who still has so many things to fix, and is thinking about how to attract more money than fix the problem. so far, even if other people are mocking the users who spend their money on the game, I personally don't feel bad about spending money on my favorite game, so I used to buy skins or battle passes. but seeing this change, I felt that they really didnt have any respect for the users, and all I felt was hopeless. maybe im quitting this game soon.

Been playing this game since season 7. I’ve been completing the BP with my friend ever since using the same investment I made all the way back then. After next season I will abandon this game due to the non-renewability. Good luck apex, it’s been a fun ride while it lasted.
They're about to implement this faster than they can fix actual issues in their game.

The Premium+ BP should be for both splits BPs and the first split BP carries over to the second half so it can be completed without losing the progress if someone gets too busy to complete it in a few weeks.
They should start charging us to login at this point

I play this game super casually like maybe a total half the time out of the 3 months every season, and the battle pass is the only reason I kept playing from season 4. Over the past year or two I felt the game became so sweaty and grindy, even the events, even for a casual. I felt the game kept asking me for more of my time, practice just survive upto the forth ring and for more of my money with all the store updates. Having a 40 hour work week as a teacher the only reason I felt a need to keep playing this game is finishing the BP and using the previously collected apex coins to buy the premium BP. My friends and I have a thing where at the beginning of every season we screenshare and open all the packs we collected in the previous season from the BP and the events; and see what each of us get. This is literally the only thing I looked forward in apex every season given how the game's direction for the casual player base. In a cynical way, I am sort of relieved by this change, that all the grief this game has given over the last 4-5 years, I feel EA and Respawn is giving me the greenlight to actually stop playing this game and move on to some other new game and my friends have the same feelings as well. Season 23 might the season I can finally put down this game for good. I will see how Season 22 goes, but given how season 21 is doing I cant really have my hopes up. :) thanks for the video bobzy

okay, buying two passes per season is perfectly fine, and giving even more stuff per pass is great to balance that, but only buying with real money is a load of crap. the biggest appeal of the entire pass was the renewability and they are taking that away, I will never buy the battle pass again.

They should just make it cheaper with IRL currency; so for example 1300 (or even raise the AC in the BP and make it 1500) Apex coins or $10

not the point, its just a dumb change, alot of players bought the battle pass and then got the next pass with their coins they earnt. It rewards players for playing consistently rather than opening their wallets. Players who grind the pass every season could spend the AC on the next pass, and get a few decent rewards on the way. This is just taking a dump on those players

Respawn looks at struggling player base numbers, and *checks notes* punishes the active player base by putting the entire battle pass behind a paywall for each new iteration instead of allowing them to benefit from playing the game more.
Not surprised EA is trying to milk every last cent they can out of their player base, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating to see such a fun game with a great community get screwed over like this.
They just farming money untill the game eventually dies at this point.

The battle pass was the most thing keep me playing this game and now there is nothing i can do in this game especially after i was permanently banned for trivial reasons and without warnings
On top of that, the last Update BROKE THE GAME FOR LOTS OF PEOPLE, crashes and lower FPS, one of the worst ever.
So Pros: Less superfluous content that we never really needed. Cons: Price is most definitely higher AND YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS SHIT TWICE A SEASON!!! These skins better be the best goddamn skins in gaming otherwise NAAAAHHHH.
At least the FOMO cycle is broken. I´ll never buy one after this season ends.

Forcing to pay just with real money is just literally the worst decision EA ever made for Apex. This is the real major shot in a head for Apex. In case the community will not make EA drown in shitstorm for this so that they cancel this change, this is the beginning of the end, a true one.
Personally, I’d love to see a comparison with other fps games that also offer battle passes. How long do the seasons within each game last, are there splits/acts within the seasons, how much is the battle pass, etc.

The variants for reactives were pretty cool. Looks like they want to lower our expectations while making us pay more.
I guess that's one less battle pass to worry about. I enjoyed grinding for a self sustaining battle pass. I'll miss the packs from the pass.

Right, we all know what to do! If we as a community don't spend the cash then respawn & EA will see that the system needs reverting just like when they released the peacekeeper recolour for cash.
But our money isn't just paying for a battle pass, it's also funding seasonal content and changes. Are we going to get more content and updates per season now? We are paying double per season now after all

As someone who never spent anything in apex, it's definitely worse. I got the previous few battle passes from the apex coins in the free portions I've saved up, and now I'm going to get less rewards. The only upside is 50 more coins a season, but that is absolutely not worth it. I'm also going to have to grind more challenges because it's 120 levels a season now, and I won't have the xp multiplier. On top of that, I can't just wait until the end of the season to do multiple challenges at once because there will be a new battle pass each split. I'll also most likely never get another reactivate skin again, from level 100, 110, or the exotic ones because they will all be behind a paywall. There is nothing good about this unless you pay a minimum of $20 a season. Hopefully people just don't buy it, but knowing the apex playerbase, the majority of people will complain, say not to buy it, and then proceed to buy it the second it comes out.
