I’ve had every battlepass since season 11 with the exception of season 19. I’ve been playing when the game first launched but didn’t bother buying the earlier battlepasses which I regret. It seems because this game asks for real money I’m no longer buying the battlepass. In fact I’m no longer spending money on this game let alone the battlepass. I’ve barely played this season because it’s boring and I’m level 35 so I doubt I’ll reach the max level in time.

It seems like they’re making the game friendlier to the absolute zero never spend money free to play players, with events and battlepass, cucks the maybe £10 every half a year (most players) and is bleeding the I spend my paycheque people on this game dry (they know they’ll keep spending).
Essentially they’re killing off its main player base, the game, which is already on a decline, will die. Not only financially but player wise too.

The doing challenges for a free battlepass is to make sure people do the update, play the first weeks and have the battle pass so they can show with statistics that this new season and new battlepass is a success, because a lot of people have it.

"You can earn twice as many AC per season" but it literally doesn't matter because Apex Coins are basically worthless to most players now. Most players only spend them on the battle pass every season. Now you can't do that. Fuck EA.

Brawl stars kids did the same thing but they cut the time for seasons in half but they gave you a lot more rewards for the premium part of the battle pass that was twice the amount of the original amount

Ahh, apex legends. I’m not trying to sound corny but 6-7 months ago I used to be a great pathfinder main, yet I just couldn’t find the thrive to play apex anymore, so I just kinda naturally stopped, I’m glad that other people are realizing that ea is killing their game by being money hungry

That battle pass absolutely influences me to play the game more than I would normally. Not being able to use my apex coins to buy the battle pass means I won't be playing the game as much.

as a casual gamer due to working a lot, i just continue to enjoy the game for what it is. pure enjoyment. i can see how diehards are mad cuz i used to be one but ill just continue to spend the money i do for the regular BP since i don’t play often enough to get the coins to buy it over and over again. overall casuals like me are getting more.

2021-2022 were the last years of old apex imo the last 2 years have just been getting worse and worse
Whenever Valkyrie came out was my first season. Game has changed a lot since then
I’ve been playing since 2019. Season 13 was the last amazing season imo. I regret not buying the battlepass until season 11.
I started in 2019, they have down graded the game consistently since its release.
Season 5 is where I started. I was mostly into a lot of the changes since then but the gamble events, overpriced Peacekeeper skin and this new BP system is really disappointing. I don't know how a publisher can take advantage of this much good will towards the game..
this would actually be an awesome change if they kept all the rewards but made the battle pass purchasable with apex coins. shame on EA tbh

Haven't played in a long while either, last time I played was for a crypto skin.
Every free to play player completes the battle pass for the reactive weapon skin, crafting metals and coins are just a bonus. This was one of the only things that kept the average going, the battle pass was considered to be the in-game progress. Now these same type of players will have to decide whether they forcefully have to pay $10 a split to earn that same skin. In other words, they will have to decide whether they want to pay the $10 to play the game and feel like they are progressing towards something. Most of Apex’s micro transactions usually provided a luxury item, but to put a paywall in front of something that was considered a progression item is indirectly hurting a portion of the player base
Ea- lets spend the budget on designers to make skins no one sees instead of investing in better servers that make the game playable

whenever something like this happens, i think back to when Respawn first got acquired, and said it wouldn't change things at the studio. This isn't the Respawn I remember.
The fact that people are trying to justify the "you get 2400 crafting materials" with this new pass is revolting. You aren't able use the crafting materials to buy unique skins anymore i.e the final fantasy event. Pretty much shards are useless now, so that's why they are giving more out. Wonder how many streamers will be sucking EA/Respawns dick on these changes *cough* *cough* Nicewigg

Thing is: the reason why people are against this is the fact that you don't really get cool stuff for your money. You have 2 Legendary Skins (excluding the ractive ones). That's what matters. 95% of the BP is content that people don't care about. No one gives a fuck about some shitty holospray or banner frames or some intro lines. If they pay 20 bucks per season they want some cool skins. Problem is that EA probably thinks "Mhhh well each legendary skin can be sold for like $20 if we sell it as a standalone. So why pack the $10 BP with cool skins?" and therefore they keep it nearly the same. Oh yea you increased the crafting metals people get. Wohoooo so cool.

@@tenedrae5079 I already do play both The Finals and single player games. I jump back into Apex every once in a while hoping it has improved but it doesn't. The battlepass changes are the true nail in the coffin though. Maybe I'll play again one day, when Arenas return.

I loved apex for a long time as i found the gun play and gadgets and there game changing interactions just as good as titan fall 1 and 2 but the season they added the wall teleport lady was the last I played and quit at the start as it just felt like a mobile game to me

Its not only money but you have to do challenges in the first 2 weeks of the new season if you want the premium bp split 1 for free. Still pretty consumer unfriendly since not everyone of the f2p playerbase can grind 2 whole weeks just for a free premium bp

People are tired of EA not addressing the massive elephant in the room. They want to keep slapping new currencies and now cash to a game that was once fun to legit play. But with all the server issues and hackers, pro players leaving for those reasons. Its not going to be something that will benefit the game. If I progressed through the battlepass currently and got enough coins to purchase the next one without having to pay, that should be my reward in its own right. I put time into the grind and I was rewarded for it. Making the AC just another shop currency on top of the other fucking 6 isnt going to do anything but piss others off. And if you haven't noticed from the comments here, their main channel, and on steam. The community is justifiably livid. This new season we need to make a stand. We were able to do it in Helldivers. We can do it Apex

Shows that they don’t really care about their community and their thoughts so instead of replying, they are simply hiding how the community actually feels.
That's desingenuous, the top post is about this change. They simply remove extra posts about it to avoid the sub being flooded. Discuss it in the existing posts instead.

It’s clearly an attempt by them to prevent as much backlash as possible. You can make the argument that its spam, but that is thrown out the window because whenever they implement a change the people enjoy, like the Evo shields, you can find hundreds of similar posts that haven’t been removed because it makes them look good.
They’re willing to accept the compliments but not the complaints.

If they plan on waiting for our anger to die down, I must say, I really don't think it will. This WILL reflect in their earnings because it's a system people heavily rely on and no doubt part of the life blood behind the game.
