Fun fact: this level of pick control is illegal in 37 countries.
A piece composed in 1908, played so beautifully on an instrument unknown at that time. I'm sure audiences in 1908 would have thought an electric guitar as vulgar (if they could conceive of one) and many modern guitarists wouldn't consider studying Debussy. Here they meld so wonderfully. If only the extremists of the world could see the beauty of coming together despite differences. It is not a black and white world in which we exist. This is a small yet wonderful example of what can come from of an open mind that is not afraid to explore, and consider things from another perspective.
UA-cam comment when guy play song 🤯🤯🤯
Obrigado.

Vulgar lol
The Telecaster came into existence shortly after though 😂
Incredibly well spoken!
I never heard a telecaster played like that, it's beautiful
check out Julian Lage, he sounds a lot like this. Especially 'I'll Be Seein You' live!
Ted Greene, Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, Ed Bickert, Tim Lerch, etc...
All Tele jazz players.
Barry harris has taught me a lot too.
Thanks! the guitarist that inspired me for that kinda mood is Bill Frisel.
First solid body electric guitar ever, and the most versatile guitar ever. People always try to fix what's already working perfectly.
Obviously the chords are unreal but honestly the cadence and carefulness in every strum is absolutely insane
why does this guy have just one video? crazy. should be illegal to have this much talent and so few videos
UA-cam algorythms favor shit content, as you can see this art is quite the extreme opposite
@@stevestann595 he is asking why he has ONE video, not why youtube shows him just this video.
@@The_InfantMalePollockFrancis he only has this video because he got no interraction, his content got lost on youtube, while we get garbage everyday as recommended, the youtube algorythms are to blame
maybe... he loaded just one... I suppose...
I can honestly say, I like it better that way. The guy drops one masterpiece for us, then bounces. It's how legends are born.
Guy, there are two things I love a lot: Debussy and my Telecaster. But you managed to combine both, and that is amazing. Congratulations!
My dumbass read it as "DA BUSSY". Bruh I cant get away from the memes xP
The three people who disliked this are neck beard trolls living in their parents’ basement. Very well done, sir!
Best electric version of Clare De Lune i've ever heard.
Will watch 100 times to learn, if that's what it takes :)
Beautiful
Agreed
Did u do it?
Sean Angus Watson did a beautiful one as well if I remember well
It's amazing. Also, check out some live videos of Paul Bielatowicz playing it live. Saw him play with carl palmer legacy a few weeks ago. It was mesmerizing, youll love it.
By far this is one of the best electric guitar version. It has the warm and soft tone, which fits the piece very well because the original was a very intimate and peaceful piece. Well done sir.
your version is very well played and there are not many effects on the electric guitar which makes a super nice soft version to hear , I leave a like 👍
Thankyou for adding that final note! This is my favourite classical piece but it pains me that Debussy never wrote it with the final Db note
It's actually transposed to D here but yeah i guess i just couldn't help it
This brings back the memories of the olden days around the 1910s when me and my buddy, who is unfortunately not with us anymore, used to sneak out of the work in our factories to go listen Claude DeShlash play this masterpiece of a song, good times.
Best use of a Tele since Jeff Buckley. Absolutely transcendent - thank you for this intimate recording
I was wondering who this reminded me of, and your dead on. This is why I liked it so much.
@Nicolas Martinez ???😭
@Nicolas Martinez hahahahaha I think you mean Julian Lage
@@fionnmaclochlainn5454had a good laugh at that
Was checking that too, a Tele so well known for playing classical music. A fine effort by the man.
Frank Zappa playing Debussy *on a telecaster*. Epic!
This gave me the motivation to start learning guitar again after I gave up last time. It’s so beautiful. Thank you
Wow I'm stroked..so honoured. Thanks alot
Well, this gave me motivation to quit lmao
How are you?
@@guylevinberg1093 youre stroked?😳
@@guylevinberg1093 still stroking?
Always finish on Debussy! Never finish on the Bach!
Sometimes UA-cam offers you the opportunity to see and hear things that are so magnificent it is beyond belief. This rendition of Clair de Lune is so beautiful, it touches my soul. Thank you very much.
I studied this piece on the piano many years ago ... you’ve really done a remarkable job with your interpretation, adaptation, voicing and technique on the guitar. Wonderfully done!!
I never could have imagined Zlatan Ibrahimovic would sooth my soul with his guitar playing! Bravo!
Haha yeah I'm only like 20cm shorter
😂
Beautiful, I've been looking for examples of electric guitar played this way, seems most electric guitar players are heavily blues influenced but after playing classical and electric guitars for many years I figured somebody out there was also playing so called classical music on electric too. The sustain must make it even trickier to manage the harmonic progression because of over ring. Well done.
Thanks! And yeah you're right sometimes i would put a capo on 1st fret just to avoid the overringing of open strings
This is one of the most beautiful thing I've listened to in a long time. The dynamics is good, the arrangement is so well done. You play with so much soul. Thank you so much for playing this and sharing this with the world ❤
Every time I start watching this video, I want to hit the like button right away, but I keep unliking and liking it again, haha. Now I'm listening to it on a loop.
This is an absolute beast of an electric guitar arrangement. Bravo. Especially with the gorgeous Tele tones. Reminiscent of some Jeff Buckley Live @ Sine vibes. Real gem here! Would love to see a tabbed out or even step by step directly from you!! The people want it!! 🙌🙌🙌
I think this is my favorite interpretation of this song on guitar. Ted Greene would be proud.
Sweet! Everything everybody else has said (positively) and... Ya got "guitar fingers" !!!!! !!!!!
I feel so lost right now and I’m sitting in my kitchen and I just want you to know that you playing this and uploading it had made its way here and it’s really holding me together. You play so beautifully, thank you
Absolutely gorgeous. The harmonics are a lovely touch, very much in the airy spirit of Debussy himself. Equally impressive is that you apparently did the transcription yourself.
This is the music for SpongeBob laying in his deathbed watching his life passing through his eyes as he exhales his last breath
I knew electric guitar could sound like this, so I just had to search it. Not disappointed.
When the world needed him most, he vanished...
Please post more :( you're literally the best guitarist doing classical on electric I've ever heard. Everybody doing classical guitar is a metalhead and only cares about shredding. You've got feeling like I've never heard and I need more ;((((
Roy Buchanan is smiling on you. I hear him in your sound (and I see Frank Zappa!!)
Wow thanks man. I Really wish i'd sound like Roy Bruchanen
@@guylevinberg1093 you sound like yourself! That's all that matters.
Beautiful comment, and nice ATLA reference to boot 💙🤎❤️🧡 (hope he won't sleep in an iceberg for 100 ye-- ok, just kidding)
Dude.. That was amazing... Awe inspiring really.. 🇵🇰
I was looking for piano tutorials for this piece, and... well, I stopped looking
Simply magnificent bro
Never have seen anyone play with debussy so well!
Apologize for bad english
Sounds like Jeff Buckley!
Fantastic. Also reminds me so much of Jeff Buckley.
Best version on youtube hands down. I would love to see the tabs for this amazing song
It's good, but it's not even close to ua-cam.com/video/0_RnlOWmZD4/v-deo.html
최고다... 근데 왜인지 모르게 스폰지밥이 생각났어... 사랑해요💘💘
Absolutly beautiful version :) I couldn't imagine it sounding this good on an electric
Master fucking putain de piece
The sound reminds me a lot of some Nujabes stuff from the Samurai Champloo soundtrack! Very nostalgic :)
Clair de Lune but with more Jeff Buckley vibes.
Man. That is an anthidote for the overwhelming imbecility around the electric guitar.
this video makes me wanna quit my physics studies and just play my guitar all day
Tell me about it... after Covid I got back into playing and all the time I spent as a software engineer and all the reading I used to do has gone out the window in favor of playing and really mastering my right hand technique. I can't - nor do I want - to do anything but make music.
Luckily I'm still good enough to keep my job, but I'll be playing catch up if I don't get back to software full time
So nicely played man! Wow!
That is just an comment, not an advice or any patronising thing, but I highly recommend you to buy a fender amp, I think they're best suited for such type of playing on e-guitar
so much talent…two thumbs up…1st time hearing this on telecaster…one of my favorite songs on piano
Beautiful and well played... just remember to finish on the Bach.
Thought that was Frank Zappa in the thumbnail for a second, haha. Amazing cover!
This guys tele in nine months🤰
This iz perfect. Wd never have thought it wd go well on a lectric but you are such a good musician it came off really nicely.
Se nota que el que filma no es musico. En el arpegio mas bonito de la pieza, filma al musico y no a la guitarra
oh? Charlie christian tele bro!!!! same here. The legacy of master Tim Lerch!!!
Thank you for all the hard work, that was unbelievably enjoyable.🎉
Strong solo debussy.
Fantastic arrangement and playing. Congratulations!
Your Tele has exceptionally good intonation, enabling you to play certain passages up high and sounding beautiful.
So beautifully played! I love the sound of that Charlie Christian pickup too! You’re amazing!✌️😌🎸
Parfait…
Can’t stop thinking about The Evil Within when I hear this song by the way…
I'd love to see more videos from you in this style! Maybe some Chopin or Erik Satie.

Wow. I never knew a Tele could sound so amazing.. It literally brought tears to my eyes. Bravo.
I feel like the tone was too warm and muddied with bass, would have liked a brighter feel with more definition, but regardless this was amazing and I really enjoyed it
Precious as gold***V* Love you, Dad*
Is it on spotify?
This...this is why I love UA-cam. Instant fan. Subscribed. Thank-You!
Nope it doesn't translate to a telecaster! Yikes! Thanks for showing that!
Telecaster has the soul of rock n roll!!
Your Charlie Christian looking neck pickup sounds awesome
This recommendation is absolutely random, yet 10 seconds in you got a sub. Edit: then check and find only 3 videos, what a shame.
I always come back to this video every week or two. One of my favorite covers I've seen so far. Incredible :)
excellent arrangement and execution. if i’d need to find one critique it’s that your vibrato seems a bit fast in some places ;)
You nailed the feeling of this beautiful piece
I’ve finally gotten up to that last A7 before the arpeggios and let me tell you if that first part took me this long the rest of the piece will keep me busy til I’m dead 😅
When you accidentally invent a jazz piece before jazz is invented.
did you use tabs or classical notation for this?
also great playing, im kinda jealous
god please make this master's piece tab available. On a side note is the guitarist Zappa's nephew?
Now I want to learn guitar even more so that I can make lital classics sound better than the original instrument😭😭
Didn't know Debussy was such a fan of Spiderman tbh
Beautiful Interpretation,very clean and brilliant.
This is amazing. Such talent. This is one of the best versions I’ve ever heard.
NOISE
pd: that fretboard needs some love.
Wow, excellent! Very rare to hear a good classical cover on electric guitar imo, but this one is fantastic. The telecaster sound fits it perfectly. Sounds a bit like a dreamier version of something Chet Atkins would play.
J’aime beaucoup les différentes textures qu’il y met
caught off guard by that title, i was like deWHO???
Sounds just like Ted Greene, really nice playing man.
Well Done! Bravo. Hey is that one of Ted Greene's old guitars?
The most beautiful arrangement of this piece ever done on a guitar- electric or otherwise. Strikes chords in my soul. Thank you for stopping time for a moment in my life. Many blessings!
i found clair de lune, the original version a long time ago. i was going through some really rough times and there was a small community behind the price. a couple years later i decided to learn guitar and now i’m back where i started, listening to the cover of one of my favorite pieces on my favorite instrument. good job man.
Good luck ❤
Dude... you shouldn't be able to put that many stars in a grain of sand.
i was expecting it to turn into Hotel California at some point, had the vibes
Ahh I love debussy
Holy mackerel. Got so much more than I bargained for when I clicked on this one. Bravo
Beautiful, (intonation is slightly off.)
Why this doesn't have at least 2,000,000 on the view hit , I've no idea !! 🤔
Monsters of Etheria fans unite
What warm and rich tone. Pure velvet silk.
Kinda sounds like if Debussy was from bikini bottom
This is absolutely phenomenal! Inspiring!
Just be sure you finish on the Bach, never finish on Debussy
Can you please make an album? I would pay for this
Awesome, new subscriber my friend ♫♪♫♪..
Genius... Can I found a tab for that? 😭🙏🙏
seek for 'Clair de lune James Edwards transcription'
Top notch first class and i like the cc pickup.
