Catz really changing up the way the game is played. - Firstly, talks in the Intro - says exactly what rank he's thinking during the replay - lastly asks what score everyone has b4 the game is even over 😂
Hahaha the last game was mine! I scouted my opponents twelve pool and I realized I was in trouble because of my early evo chamber for +1 lings. I cancelled my natural and tried to proxy it in the corner while holding his rush. After the drone battle at the extractor he left and found it so I had to cancel. Definitely a chaotic game all around.
Btw what’s wrong with the evo placement? Creates a sort of wall against early zergling rushes. Usually getting +1 attack early can usually win a zvz if you hit early enough.
@@cyrus5958 i think the problem with early upgrades is that you don't have enough units to capitalize. you are spending 200 (+ 75 for evo chamber + the cost of the drone + the cost of the drone not mining from this point on) for the upgrade, while you could have 12-16 more lings instead or other units. and that is a big difference early
@@cyrus5958upgrades are way too expensive to rush out that fast. Sure you get +1 but your have like half the units not even exaggerating on that one with how fast the upgrade was.
@@cyrus5958 they werent criticizing the evo placement but the drone micro. The concept for drone vs ling micro is that you always want the lings damage to be spread out amongst as many drones as possible, and not let them focus them down one by one (this is why you will see players spamclick drones on a mineral patch to stack them). By fighting in a choke you were doing your opponent a massive favour.
@@cyrus5958 Drones are the only unit that can occupy the same space, and you can make them occupy the same space by sending all your drones to the same mineral patch. The trick is to stack your drones in a chokepoint in front of a mineral patch so then you can have a bunch of drones attacking your opponent's ling, but your opponent can only attack with one ling at a time. The micro is difficult to do correctly though.
Always great to see more Rank Roulette. Just an awesome show. Just one quick thing: is there still a ranking of the participants somewhere? I may be blind, but I don't see an overview anywhere. Would love to have it back at the end of the rounds in the video.
09:33 According to an SC2 stat site, the player in question has a high MMR of ~5200. He's currently GM, but is not a high GM, so could have legitimately been only Masters 1 at the time of this game without considering the season game count.
Is there some video somewhere that explains how scoring works? Every episode there are scoring parts that don’t make sense, but they never explain the rules.
I'm pretty sure its: 0 for correct and then 1 away =2, and then just continues. So if guessed D1 and was plat 1, that's 3 off and therefore 4 points. And so on
They explained it in the first video for season 2 because they changed the rules between seasons 1 and 2. Link: ua-cam.com/video/uy0h2fZY-hY/v-deo.html
15 points today. Not great, but significantly better than last week. . . . R1 - GM - 5 points - Disagree with Harstem. I see lots of good stuff going on. Oh, he was gaslighting. Oh, he was right. R2 - M2 - 2 points - Again disagree with Harstem. There was a lot of critique and then “but it’s obviously GM”. R3 - D3 - 6 points - There was a transition, multitasking, and it started with a cheese. R4 - P3 - 2 points - I agreed with Harstem this time.
I went with diamond 1, masters 1, silver 2, and silver 2 again. I just thought the last 2 games were very poorly played. The cc not going for the orbital immediately, the evo first build. Just felt not good.
He should have gotten 2. Since he guessed Master 3. But his chip was placed on M2 there was the mistake already. Lowko gussed M2 but their gusses were different while points were the same.@@LanNetwork
My guesses were: D1 - spot on. I felt like the overall unit movement and response times as well as macro was simply not crisp enough to be masters. GM - 2 points for me. Looked like a 5.2k mmr game to me. Harstem saying 5.8k was so far off. We should give him extra points for that tbh! G3 - 2 points. Fundamental mistakes by both players, but a general idea of what to do and how to countert those moves is what did it for me. G2 - 4 points. Looked very similar to the game before imo. The early game made no sense at all and I thought the reason they were not floating so much was because all game they had like 30 drones max. Plat did catch me off guard there. Overall 8 points, just like the captain. GGs nice episode, keep it up!
The most OP Terran unit of that entire race, no one criticizes it, the Viking has 9 attack range, the same as the Colossi with the improvement of the lens, it is cheaper than any air unit and comes out 2 at a time.

Catz should automatically be in every final, just so he can give his speech again
"Ah, Lowko won twice."
...
"Lowko won twice?"
Love the savage captain getting angry about brain-dead Terrans :D great episode again. Stoked to have Rank Roulette back in action!
So is protoss apparently. Serral lost to reynor offracing protoss after beating his zerg
Feel like we got ripped off a bit at the beginning when the Harstem intro was cut off before the hand wave could be completed.

I miss the list at the end where you could see the scores of all the contestants.
But this was a great episode as always, love Rank Roulette 🥰
Lol at Catz being flabberghasted that Lowko won twice 😂

You are right, this should be on Liquipedia!
Me on my way to send in my Co-op replay and have them guess my ladder rank based on that

@@MTGandP thanks!
10/10 thumbnail, gives perfect vibes of this episode.
Another banger of an episode!
As a (small) backer of Zerospace I love that CatZ gave a shoutout to it.
And Kevins rant against Terrans was amazing :D
Holy cow, Harstem's last guess of Plat 2 based on how chaotic the game was is so big brain, 200IQ protoss move right there, no terran can match!
Catz voted for masters 3 in the first one, not master's 2

Amazing intro by CatZ😂😂😂 love that opening as much as i love hatch first.
How can they both be on the same score after round one when catz was closer? Games rigged!
Came for the roulette, stayed for the rant.
That was my best episode ever, 2-0-2-2 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 😊😊😊😊
Yup, a rather easy one for me too. Went 2-0-2-0
20:31 CatZ: "Okay, I got what I'm gonna say.. crap!" Weird flex but okay.
Didn't know this was coming out today. Eff yeah
Catz is so smart, he allies the captain, he should never care about his score, he plays against all the others!! Wp
Its me or the score for Catz is wrong in the first guess?
Yaaaay. It says rank roulette now!
powerful gaslight opening from harstem there
24:49 Lowko won twice 😂
that first game looks like literally every game I've played in the past year
I wanted to hear them react to the investigation results if they did lol
Yeah a little SUSPICIOUS the investigation was done behind CLOSED DOORS @hamster

My greatest run so far, 0-0-0-2 I'm hype af
Bro you privated the first upload when i was 5 mins from the end. Now I gotta do find the differences.
Cool! Show worth waiting for!!!
The first game was scored incorrectly, no? Cas had M3, Harstem M2. The result was diamond 1, they both got 3 points.
My guesses:
M1-M3-P1-P1
4-3-5-2
total 14
Champion of champions would be cool in a certain future
Please give Catz his correct points. In the first round he gussed M3 and schould have only gotten 3 points. Injustice here.
didn't he get only 3?

The Salty Swag Captain today
My response to cannon-rushes: F10-n. I just cannot be arsed. Downside, TvP winrate below 20% but I don't even care at this point.
It's Deezer son
I agree with the rant
Diamond PvZ looks like masters play, because they get elo bumped down by terran players merely existing
Do Rank Roulette champions brawl you do need 4 players, but actually only 3 champions. Because the #4 should obviously be the captain himself.
Why did catz get 3 points with an M3 guess when it was D1. Isn't that 1 point?
I believe the minimum Amount of Points you can get is 2. Unless you nail it of course.
@@knodel2378 so why didn’t he get 2? He was off by one league.
Edit: I misheard-> Thought he said three, but actually said two and logged two
0 points for perfect guess. 2 points 1 off and 3,4,5 etc. Lower score the better...

Dude, that drone defence in game 4 cannot be in plat2, come on

Only zerg champions? ZERG IMBA!
You guys have to stop judging early game too highly. When not much is happening, even Diamond players can lookike GM.
