This band got me through high school. I've moved on, but they will always mean a lot to me no matter what genre of music I find myself listening to nowadays.
Thomas Epps - Same! Saw them for my 25th on Monday. My girl got us tickets. They do NOT disappoint. Hearing some of those song again.. and live. Just amazing.
People say they, especially Dallas had so much more to give. No one here making comments knows how each persons life was going. George told Dallas to put out sometimes. Dallas is thinking about his life and long term career and C&C is much more realistic. They are all in their 30's. That is a hard lifestyle to continually try and maintain. He didn't screw them. He gave them 10 years of his career. Dallas is one of, if not the best musicians I've ever had the pleasure of listening to and seeing.
George, you were by far the most professional and dedicated musician I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Next time your in Ottawa your more than welcome to have a drink on me.
god damn.. nothing will ever come even close to how much i love alexisonfire. They were my favourite since primary school, now im 22. no other band has ever had such an impact on me.. fuck there gonna be so badly missed. Thankyou for everything boys!
2005 I made my dad take me to a concert they played in Baltimore, Maryland. I took a disposable camera there and still have the pictures hanging up on a cork board in my apartment.
THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS. This band got me through everything. Its why I have their tattoo. The final two shows ever - I was there - and it brought me to tears. They were the first band I ever saw live, and it was only fitting that I go see their final 2. Get goosebumps watching this. Poor George :(
I just started the discography and right off the bat, their self titled, first album is mind blowing. I definitely understand why they're among the top 10 most influential post hardcore bands of all time
The São Paulo show was the best concert I've ever been to. The energy was something hard to describe. Both the band and the crowd were feeling it. So glad I was able to witness it, and really glad to see that the band felt the same way about it. Going to see Dallas for the second time here with City & Colour in the same venue as the Alexis show. Should be awesome...
ah i just wanna bawl my eyes out. i was fortunate to see the last 2 shows they ever played, man just watching this brings back memories. friggen LOVE george!
Steele borrowed Dallas' shirt for his interview. But seriously. I saw Alexis on the farewell tour, and it was the most incredible concert-going experience ever. To see them go out like this...is terrible. RIP.
Well that was depressing as hell. I am seriously hoping one day that they will reunite and record another full length. One can dream =) Thanks for the upload also, missed this on live TV and have wanted to see it ever since.
George said in the vid "Was the breakup amicable? No. Was it necessary?Yes.".. So I guess we will never know for sure if the band broke up on good terms or not. Most bands are vague about the reasons but usually theres some initial anger when someone leaves a band. They did the farewell tour though, which proves they are copacetic now..And they have a huge loyalty to their fans which is a rare thing. I just wish they would of played 1 show in the states.
Ive had the oppourtunity to stop and talk to all of the guys except for Wade, they're all very nice guys who are very passionate about their music, some more so than others. George, Jordan, and Steele were super awesome when i got to meet them them, and it breaks my heart to see the emotion the put into that last tour they did.
Wearing the shirt I got at their final show in Hamilton. We traveled 3 hours by GO train to see that show, I wish I would of been able to see more of their shows, but I was like 13 when they had some shows in my area. Great band, even better live. Chris Steele got me into playing bass.
Thank u!!! It really played out like Dallas was saying fuck you to his family and disappointing everyone. But goddamn his musical talent..it's unmatched. He was the heart of the band and he ripped himself out of it.
he pushed himself and the band to a whole new level by leaving and coming back. He grew as a musician and a vocalist. Its rubbing off on the new record
I had a little tear in my eye through this whole video. It's really sad to see George talking throughout this though. He just seems saddened way more than everyone else about this all. The other guys were obviously upset, but it didn't quite seem like they were equal to how George seemed to feel... It could just be me, but that's just how it felt.
I feel so bad for George. Dallas and wade continue their careers and the rest go back to normal life. Seems so damn unfair! George has to make a new band or something. His voice shouldn't be wasted.
Seeing George, Steele and Ratbeard lost with no direction not sure what they are going to do next puts a serious lump in my throat. As good as Gallows and City and Colour are they will never compare to what was Alexisonfire. All I can hope for is a reunion one day.
Honestly, Dallas' decision to give up Alexisonfire was probably more about his own happiness. He lost interest in playing with them which is why he swayed toward City and Colour. I mean come on, after years and years of playing with the same band you tend to get tired of the norm. This happens all the time with bands like Alexisonfire. It's cool and fun when they're young but then once they grow up a bit it starts to take a toll on them. It probably wasn't even enjoyable to Dallas anymore.
I'm not a fan of the produced, pre-recorded music, I pretty much only listen to live music... well, recorded live, you know what I mean :P anyway, this is one band that is just epic live.
Now they’re back and I’ve seen them live twice since

thank you so much for this upload.
it's a honor to see the guys talking about the show in Sao Paulo!
theonlybandever ♥
I agree the world still needs this band, I would give anything to see them live once again. One of the best shows I have ever seen
They are back!
They are really back now! 💜💀
THEY'RE BAAAAAAAAACK! :D
I drove 2,300 miles for the last Hamilton show. Easily the greatest show I have ever seen. Sad to see them end.
This band was everything to me back in high school. Wouldnt be alive without them!
Burcu ahnaa Like wise
Alexisonfire will always hold a special place in my 2006 heart

So happy to have them back, even if it is only part-time!!
I hitchhiked from Halifax to TO to see the 2nd last show with my brother. Best thing I've ever done
I just started the discography and right off the bat, their self titled, first album is mind blowing. I definitely understand why they're among the top 10 most influential post hardcore bands of all time
What a great fucking band.. I miss that band
so glad i flew over to Sydney to see them play one more time. easily worth it, if they ever have a reunion show. im flying my ass there!
They are back!
they are back again

Damn poor George and the rest of the band.. The world still needs this band =(
They are back!
and now they're back again
They probably also know they wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Dallas.
They are really back now! 💜💀
How disrespectful.
Then boom, few years later they came back :)
THE ONLY BAND E V E R!!!!
Steele borrowed Dallas' shirt for his interview.
But seriously. I saw Alexis on the farewell tour, and it was the most incredible concert-going experience ever. To see them go out like this...is terrible. RIP.
Thank bloody god they all came back for Unify
So content that I got to see the last show in the Hammer. hats off dyno. Will miss this piece of my adolescence.
I'm a 23 year old metal head, but I'm not ashamed too say I cried when I saw them for the last time in Montreal
fought back tears.. these guys were the sound of my youth! Onlybandever
im glad they reunited and went back to normal
Well that was depressing as hell. I am seriously hoping one day that they will reunite and record another full length. One can dream =) Thanks for the upload also, missed this on live TV and have wanted to see it ever since.
It has happened! 💜💀
Born to live again....
George is becoming a fireman. He's putting out Alexis.
st catharines

I didn't know it was possible to cry for 23:57 minutes straight :'(

Will miss alexisonfire forever and for always... This band has been my favourite all growing. It breaks my heart that they are done :'(
They are back! 💜💀
Who are you to criticize what a person does with their life/career. City and Colour is fantastic.
So GLAD to see them back :D
Their show in Brazil was amazing! My voice was gone for two days!!!
The band got got me into this kind if music my heart sank when I heard the news
They'll be back
They're baaaackkkk
@@avp927 THEY'RE BAAAAACK (AGAIN) #FAMILIARDRUGS
Reading this comment in 2020... and you were not wrong haha
They are really back now!

Thank you so much for posting.
I love Chris. I played frisbee with him once. Such a solid guy.
Nearly brings me to tears, Onlybandever.
Teared up so much. I miss them. :(
10 years... I was 15 when it started. found Alexisonfire and Atreyu... Atreyu sucks now Alexisonfire is still listenable
Sad to see it end, happy that it happened...
Never die young
Rest in peace, the only band ever...
They have risen!
Awesome. Will always be the only band ever.
My god and they mentioned the adelaide show.. i flew from perth to see it. my first ever concert. met them before the show. made my fucking life.
I LOVE ALEXISONFIRE
sad to see them leave
Wade's a teddy bear
He's actually a paramedic, my buddy works with him!
damn now i really want to hear that Dallas Green jazz fusion record
alexisonfire played a ball diamond I used to play baseball on when I was a kid. It's unfortunate they had to go through so much on the way.
George got totally screwed by Dallas in the break up. What a shame. These guys had so much more to give.
Dude I'm straight but Chris Steele is a handsome man! The beast cleans up nice.
I met you in line! I came from Halifax too but not in a manner that adventurous!
Steele sounds like Dave mustaine and looks like Adam Levine haha
Hahhaha yes!
Gracias!!
Chris looks like an absolutelly different guy. Wow!
Heartbreaking.
George is becoming (or has become) a firefighter in the GTA!
This is why I have a love hate relationship with Dallas
You're Welcome
One of my faves, but without Dals voice it wouldn’t work!
love always
What show was featured at the end?

Sucks they didnt come to the states but what can you do.
This video would have been great without the commercials.
Theonlybandever
he's reading a letter written to the fans of alexisonfire posted on the website
Definitely Drums vocals and bass are there, just need some neat guitar work, I think they could create something new and it would sound great.
Most memorable show was Adelaide, Aust? Fuck yeah!
sometimes it's still hard to believe :(
I did not know Adam Levine was in Alexisonfire?
well said
any album that features the band alexisonfire
I feel so bad for George. Dallas and wade continue their careers and the rest go back to normal life. Seems so damn unfair! George has to make a new band or something. His voice shouldn't be wasted.
And he did.
dallas green atleast acknowledged that nothing he will do will ever surpass alexisonfire....
Its a shame wade jumped ship, I think the Dogs Blood EP has some of the best material they ever made.
Me crowd surfing at :32!
I think he became a Fireman, but i'm not sure
dude.. if you guys need vocals... im ready to bring back Alexisonfire..
Dallas and Steele are wearing the same shirt??? WTF???
ill probably never get too see one of my favorite bands live.....FUCK!!!!!
Devin Mccallum boy do I have good news for you
Well damn, this whole time I thought it was "Alex is on fire"
hahahahah "I was nervous that my voice wouldnt hold up, as i was for most of my career on the band"
Seeing George, Steele and Ratbeard lost with no direction not sure what they are going to do next puts a serious lump in my throat. As good as Gallows and City and Colour are they will never compare to what was Alexisonfire. All I can hope for is a reunion one day.
killer alice in chains facelift shirt dallas is wearing
lol watch the Westend Indoor Festival then watch this Steele looks like a totally different person. Can't even recognize them.
Honestly, Dallas' decision to give up Alexisonfire was probably more about his own happiness. He lost interest in playing with them which is why he swayed toward City and Colour. NO I DONT WANT YOUNGER LOOKING EYES I WANT ALEXISONFIRE
There back yet dallas is coming out with another album smh
Watch Out! in my opinion
I'm not a fan of the produced, pre-recorded music, I pretty much only listen to live music... well, recorded live, you know what I mean :P anyway, this is one band that is just epic live.
