Walker of illusion is the first of 2 bosses that taught me how to parry properly, this boss is nerfed btw, i think they made the health pool smaller or something, i legit had to look up a guide for this boss just to get through it (with out cheating the fight) also quick tip about enemies, puppets are weak to electric, the infected people are weak to fire, and humans are weak to acid. Not sure why there is a difference between acid and fire for humans but there is
Yeah I think some of the moved might’ve changed as well, when I was watching boss guides from when the game came out I noticed that there are some versions of some attacks in the videos that I never saw during the fight. Thanks for the tip on enemy weaknesses and thanks for watching!
Hey Manny! I don't know if you know about this or not, but in the hotel there is a way to upgrade your legion arms and for the one you're using in this video there is an upgrade you can get where you jump away while firing the cannon. Very helpful and useful! I used it myself in my own playthrough and it came in handy so many times. You got this bro!
Thanks for the info! I’ll keep an eye out for that because that would really come in handy through out the game. I am kinda beating myself up for how late I got that legion arm because it could’ve been so useful earlier aswell! Thanks for watching
@@mannythemage thanks for playing man! I’m loving the content man! Also, if you feel like playing around with the weapons at all, my old reliable was the bramble curved sword handle with the bone-cutting sawblade. The handle’s strong attack charged up has a leap involved with it which made closing gaps easier and the blade does heavy stagger damage as well! Can’t wait to see you progress further man!
@@sirbergles This game’s weapon combinations are insane and I am amazed at the depth possible by combining different parts and using different legion arms. I’m glad you’re liking the content, I plan on beating the game on the channel soon hopefully so stay tuned!
My first time fighting Walker of illusions, and I killed them first try with the trident. Second time around and they wooped my ass. Shot puts count as heavy attacks, so just throw one of those at them when they're staggerable. I think the more frustrating part is that they don't really feel like a boss, they kinda just feel like a hard enemy, which adds to the frustration. I never used throwables in my playthrough, I just did it the old fationed way, but I'd imagine you can throw a few fire explosives here and there. If you forgot, the reason you're on the path you're on is because something has happened at the hotel, and you can't telaport back. If you notice, when you're at a stargazer, the first area of the game is crossed off. That's because the area you've been exploring is area 1. Also, it took me a bit to notice it in game, but the number of ergo you have will turn blue when you have enough for a level.
Yeah, it feels like between throwables being the best way to take out the clone and the shot put staggering, it feels like throwables are almost required to fight this boss And I was wondering that! I remembered seeing the Hotel Krat sign, and even the Central Station from the last video and wondering if I had already been through these areas in some way. I was spoiled a little bit so I know the hotel gets attacked so I’m interested to see where it’s all going
You can cheese him by attacking him once, climbing down the ladder, climb back up, throw a few things, when he walks towards you, climb down again, climb back up, keep throwing things, his UI will eventually just not move, as long as you don't enter the arena, and stay on the ground right after the ladder. You're welcome for that cheese/glitch
Two of them sounds terrible lol I also noticed when watching older boss guide videos that some attacks seem to have been removed or altered so I can only imagine what this fight could’ve been like for me
@@mannythemage unrealistically hard like I can’t remember exactly because this is from the game first released, but I think it didn’t even even share a health bar with the other and being alone is hard enough specially for heavy builds also I started a new game. I noticed all of the bosses that gave me trouble on my first play through incredible music. I’d beat him within the first 3 if not the first they definitely nerve the shit out of bosses and regular enemies
@@grantowens7537 oh no, it’s still there lol but from my understanding it doesn’t show up until later in the fight and has a lot less health. In my video I reach the clone part but I take it out pretty easily by chucking some thermite at it lol
Idk if you knew this but those bald guys with rapiers are weak from behind do two charged attack from behind and they'll be instantly vulnerable for finishers.
Yeah I feel that. Early game I was using the Booster Glaive that has an R2 that causes you to dash forward and hit the enemy, would’ve came in handy here for sure
I’ll have to check out the Azure Dragon! I just know that the twin dragon has a lot of little fun tricks to it, like being able to avoid while attacking, charged heavy attack acting as a parry when timed right and cool fable art attacks, etc

Thanks for the tip, wish I had thought of this way sooner lol
That boss has actually been Nerf so hard they used to be two of them in there. I remember when I first beat them. It took at least 20 some tries.

WAIT DID THEY REMOVE THE CLONE MECHANIC?! Oh that feels so cheap. I feel cheated, I busted my head against that brick wall until it nearly broke me!

No there's definitely still 2 of them. I fought him last night and there were 2, although temporarily

yeah i had to cheese this fight
Yeahh i’m considering it too lol
You perfect parry that rotten dog with katana r2 ... did you know? Its fun thing to do with katana
Yeah I think someone pointed it out in the comments earlier! I haven’t been too successful replicating it though lol
@@mannythemage oh ok cool i didnt saw that comment 😅 ... pretty function of that weapon ...really satisfing when you perform that correctly 🤩👍
Weapon too awkward. Need charge R2 that makes up distance to meet the enemy before they are in range to strike you as a lead in then follow up.

I hate this boss
Me too
I beat the game yesterday and I did not fight Walker legitimately 😂 this game is hard, im gonna cheese
Nothing wrong with a little cheese here and there lmaoo
I might just be bad but I don't see how the twin dragons are over powered. Personally, the azure dragon felt more broken
