Coming in having JUST beaten this fight. My main advice is utilise the pillars/ bags to keep some distance and for God's sake, make sure the youngest is dead BEFORE the Eldest comes back
For the Eldest, you can cheese him by staying at the stone pillar. Just run around it, and wait for him to do red attacks to attack him. His attacks will be blocked by the stone wall.
@@andreacolombo7128 flamberge hits him over the sacks when you're on opposite side and none of his swings hit you, he still gets around but it's a million times easier than trying to fight him. That's with upgraded flamberge has more range
I wouldn't even say the boss is "bad". I enjoyed it. Sure it felt really dumb at multiple points, but it also wasn't too difficult (because the three younger brothers didn't do much damage). Eso is pissed because he had to do it HITLESS. When I got to this fight, my first thought was "how the hell is he going to do this hitless"
@@TrickyTricky914 If a boss is this tedious to do hitless, I think it's not a very good fight. This boss is absolutely miserable; throwing a second phase onto a boss that's already guaranteed to take 3-5 minutes is insane.
This should have been 2 seperate fights. Give them more dmg output and a checkpoint afterwards to fight Eldest on his own. Absolute chore just to get to the Eldest to try learn his attacks only to get whomped by constant tracking red attacks. Loved the game but this was the lowest point of the whole thing for me. Also, admittedly it's not as bad as when I wrote this comment, much more tolerable after the patch since the summon can actually survive more than 30 seconds now
@@Snacks256 fair opinion honestly. While I didn’t mind the fight, yeah, I’d still rank it fairly low on a boss tier list. Maybe even last. Possibly right above the Green Monster. I had way more trouble with that one than I should have and the runback, while not that bad, was longer than it needed to be (kept getting pissed that getting hit by a single special move would affect you with decay. Ran out of the purifying ampoules many times. Had to keep doing loops to farm ergo for them. When I finally got the fight down, I still got hit with it once or twice in the second phase). It’s not even that I disliked that boss either. And just because I want to vent, screw the King of Puppet’s phase 2 arm attacks (phase 2 meaning when he’s still the big puppet, but after he gains a different moveset). Even if you parry them, they push you back meaning you can’t get a follow up. Romeo wasn’t even that difficult, but getting to him was the annoying part and only having one or two pulse cells didn’t help.
@@TrickyTricky914 I would put Green Monster in top 5 maybe. It usually uses the spray attack when it's far away, so you have to let it approach you rather than rushing in during a standoff. After watching a few videos of this fight, I’m starting to think that no summon might better for this fight as I’ve realized you’ll get the agro of all the siblings at once when you have a summon in there
With no summon you can take individual attention and focus on the one that's aggro'd. The summon can speed up the first phase a bit but will get himself killed quick, and you have to be extra vigilant not to follow the aggro'd rabbit into the gangr*** going on in the center. Very viable to get them all to 50% health or so by just being cautious and picking off backstabs when they're available
@@chasebrammer851 you only get aggro from one at a time, whoever has an elemental buff - the others will still attack if you get close though, and tend to be more inclined to attack when the summon is there as he is inside their aggro range.
