What I love so much about going to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is that they don't keep you roped off from the balloons behind a barricade. You get to wonder around the launch field and see everything up close. It's so majestic to be standing there with all those balloons taking off all around you. What I also love is the carnival food atmosphere.
It was beautiful to see Oct. 6, 2021 from another perspective. My baby brother turned 52 that morning and his life ended that morning in a road rage shooting near Old Town. For the viewers trying to imagine The Box when you look on a map the balloons will travel north to Bernalillo slightly west towards Rio Rancho then south towards Bosque Farms area and slightly east towards the Monzanos then north back to the field. The wind has to cooperate though. If your Plan A fell apart there is the Tram, the Petroglyphs Park, or the zoo. Glad you had a great time!

We had originally planned to do the tram ride, but we didn't really want to spend $60 to get up there especially since Ten 3 was closed the day we were there!😭 We enjoyed the drive up though!

Oh Wow! Hot air balloons, sopapillas, a proposal, and beautiful sunset (with screaming child, lol). This balloon fesitival is definitely on my bucket list (although I have been to one here in Colorado). I enjoyed every minutes of this, great job you two!!
In AZ they do a Halloween balloon festival where the kiddos trick or treat to the balloons inflated on the ground. Lots of food trucks and there are larger balloons for tethered rides... Much smaller version of this one, but still so magical and fun!!! Hope to make it to NM for this balloon fiesta one day! Thanks for sharing 😁

The Balloon Fiesta this year was truly amazing! I grew up and currently live in ABQ so this vlog was super fun to watch! Y'all did a wonderful job in capturing the beauty ABQ has to offer :) If y'all ever get the chance to come back to New Mexico I recommend going to White Sands National Park or the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness!

I love this!! They have a balloon race in St Louis every year in Forest Park, and the night before the launch is called the Balloon Glow where they light up all the balloons at the same time!! (But don’t launch them) There’s food trucks and entertainment, and it’s so magical to see the balloons all lit up at night!! I’ve never actually gone the next morning to watch the launch but this is making me want to!!! So cool!! 🎉💕

Have always wanted to see the ballooon festival but not sure we want to go at 4 am!! Beautiful sunset!! We took the cable car up the mountain and it was beautiful!! Maybe because of covid they didn't have it running at that time. Love that area, did you make it to Sante Fe? Another beautiful area.
This is a bucket list. We have done the balloon glow at Steamboat Springs Colorado. It is just a few balloons and it's so pretty. I (Kelley) had a ride set up to surprise Bill cause he always loved to go up in one but the weather didn't let us go up.

It’s kind of like Airbnb for cars. Pick up and drop off varies depending on the person you’re renting from, but we’ve had great experiences with it! We usually just set it up to pick up and drop off at the airport. Quick and easy!
To be honest… Not really! Lol… It was just all the time that we had since we have jobs that we had to get back home for. I would say, if you can, spend at least 2 mornings/evenings at the Balloon Fiesta and spend the late mornings/afternoons exploring the city. Hope that helps!

Living in Rio Rancho we have watched the Balloon Fiesta from the very first year 1979 when it was held at the Racetrack downtown

I love this!! They have a balloon race in St Louis every year in Forest Park, and the night before the launch is called the Balloon Glow where they light up all the balloons at the same time!! (But don’t launch them) There’s food trucks and entertainment, and it’s so magical to see the balloons all lit up at night!! I’ve never actually gone the next morning to watch the launch but this is making me want to!!! So cool!! 🎉💕

Have always wanted to see the ballooon festival but not sure we want to go at 4 am!! Beautiful sunset!! We took the cable car up the mountain and it was beautiful!! Maybe because of covid they didn't have it running at that time. Love that area, did you make it to Sante Fe? Another beautiful area.

This is a bucket list. We have done the balloon glow at Steamboat Springs Colorado. It is just a few balloons and it's so pretty. I (Kelley) had a ride set up to surprise Bill cause he always loved to go up in one but the weather didn't let us go up.

It’s kind of like Airbnb for cars. Pick up and drop off varies depending on the person you’re renting from, but we’ve had great experiences with it! We usually just set it up to pick up and drop off at the airport. Quick and easy!
ITS ENOUGH to visit only 1 day the festival and 1 day the city ?
To be honest… Not really! Lol… It was just all the time that we had since we have jobs that we had to get back home for. I would say, if you can, spend at least 2 mornings/evenings at the Balloon Fiesta and spend the late mornings/afternoons exploring the city. Hope that helps!

The Bible teaches us to treat God’s name with reverence, and when we use it in a way that’s meaningless or disrespectful, it can be a bit like dishonoring someone we deeply respect. I totally understand that this might not be something you’ve thought much about, but for those of us who believe in God, His name holds a lot of significance. When we use it casually or as a curse, it can reflect a deeper issue of not fully recognizing the importance of who God is. I’m not saying this to judge or criticize-trust me, we all slip up in different ways. But I’d like to ask, out of respect for those who believe, that you consider being more mindful about how you use God’s name. It’s something that really matters to a lot of people, and I think it would be a small but meaningful change.
