Makes me cringe watching Mayor Bissen and Josh Green who were negligible during the fires, and Bissen pushed through the toxic dump against the wishes of the people he works for. I just watched plastic bags full of debris being dumped at Oluwalu splitting open and toxic dust blowing over the surroundings!! I pray the whales and people in the area aren't injured or killed by this.
Right now the toxic ash in Lahaina is going into the ocean. Not everyone on Maui thinks that the temporary dump site isn't going to work for the interim.

I so Love the people of Maui but as soon as I saw the Mayor start to speak I was cringing and felt sick to my stomach. I couldn’t watch anymore as I knew Gov Greed and the police Chief would be next to speak and maybe even Oprah. I just couldn’t watch. The people YES. The innocent Yes! Bissen never cared enough to sound the sirens to warn the people for 12 hours! he never cared enough to make sure that you had an evacuation route to escape on=Hwy 30 South! in fact, he allowed it to stay closed for 12 hours! he also never cared enough to call for the National Guard and call a state of emergency early in the morningwhen Lahaina was already in crisis! if the National Guard had been on the island when the 255 noon fire started. all the people on kahua Street, all the 43 who we're never warned and never rescued. Hoover in desperate need of help, and died, could have been saved by National Guard troops, but the devil amongst you didn't care enough about that.
