Wow!!! It really helped that you uploaded the longer version here. I tried to repeat the steps from your instagram reel, but I didn't notice the step where you turned down the fill for the "server" in Photoshop from 100% to 0%, before you started to create the inner shadows and that's what I missed... And all the time I couldn't figure out why your letters were so see-through and mine were black hahaha I was still able to achieve some nice glass effects, but I'm going to try it again. Thank you for that cool tutorial!!! 😍
I am so sorry for my comment Anton! The tutorial is great, and I was just in a bad mood lol, trying to get a glass effect done for a project on a tight deadline, and I couldn't follow. My apologies ❤, and yes I did find the longer tutorial on this effect later 😊😊!
thanks 🙏 if you mean the part on 2:08 - it's just a quickest way to set the displacement mask to be the same dimensions as your original comp. Black layer (or any other colour) is a dimension setter, you should get rid of it after 👍 hope that helps

Try doing the following things: 1. set the 3d type to be minimum 250px per a letter. 2. Go to Effects > Document Raster Effect Settings > Set resolution to 300ppi minimum 3. When Rendering make sure you click High in Quality options. Hope it helps 👍
It's ok, just play around, try increasing values, smoothen and play with their opacity, it's all about the balance, which different people feel differently!
Sure, thanks for asking: 1. If you look at my layers you'll see that my background at that time consisted of Colour Fill (which does not keep canvas size/proportions), so painting a New Layer black, automatically set's it to be the same size as my canvas proportions. Think of it as a concrete upon which the whole structure stands on. (BTW you can create that New Layer at the beginning, I've just forgotten it at first) 2. Turning everything into a Smart Object allows you unify all the Layers in to ONE composition to be able to apply the Distortion Mask effect to. You can also unify all by pressing CMD+E but you won't be able to tweak distortion preferences after that. Hope that helps.
