Man you're just crazy! I can’t imagine how it was possible to achieve such an effect in such complex ways based only on personal experience. You are insanely cool!
First of all, thank you very much for producing the video we requested. You're pretty talented about that. I didn't find anyone who could make such a design with these methods. I'd like you to continue your videos, we'll keep track of it.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏 Appreciate it a lot! Please let me know if there is anything else you'd like to learn, or perhaps heard of what other tutorials or tricks people are interested in learning?
@@naturetonyxi found it ! I tried all the 3D option’s ahah before finding put it was the material one. may have miss understood ! thanks for the tutorial !
Fantastic video! I tried using Blender or Dimension to add some geometric glass shapes like cubes in order to achieve some text distortion effect, but the outcome was never the one I was supposed to achieve! This is so cool (and just with Photoshop and Illustrator 😍). Thank you!
Love the final result and will definitely try out the tutorial, thanks so much for that! I wonder if the PS file can be made into some kind of template for different texts or shapes, so I don't need to go through this process every time? (for all the amazing posters I will be creating lol )
maybe, not sure how to though, especially around the part where needs to make a text (glass type) selection of the background. Thanks for the feedback, and let me know if you manage to nail it 🙏
Hey mate, thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. Bring your mouse pointer over the type layer hold CMD and click on the thumb. It will outline the type only. Let em know if that works 👍
Superb techniques and tutorials - I love your work!! Which version of Illustrator were you using in this tutorial? (The lighting options on my 3D Materials looks different, I can't add light source / edit the position) :(
Sorry to hear @@ESkengman have you tried googling. Basically if the interface is different from what. I show in my tutorial, it's got to be hardware or software difference. Worth looking up if you're working on PC
Thanks for the tutorial! Could you please tell me if this method will work with vector graphics? I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I'd like to find out. Thank you very much.
No worries, thanks for the feedback. Not sure distortion mask exist in Illustrator, but if you bring your vectors to PS as Smart Objects they will definitely work. God speed ;)
I'm having a problem which is probably really easily solved but I'm so confused... when I go to change the levels of the text smart objects, it's changing all of the levels of everything (background smart object) - am I being stupid or is there an easy fix to this?
so good, i have one question, when I choose the 3d and material, and open the lighting section, there is no turning ball there for me to click on, just 4 presets.... I have trouble turning the light to the top right angle...hope someone can help :):)
Sorry to hear. For me as soon as I choose an Object preset ie Extrude in 3D, the ball with light sources appears fine. If you still do not have it, it's probably something to do with your hardware capabilities or the App Preferences. Please google this issue and let me know if you find a solution
Hi Anton, thank you very much for sharing your inspiring videos. But I have one question. Why isn't it possible to record your video in my folder (Photoshop tutos) in youtube. Is it possible for you to activate that? Let me know. And again thank you for all your nice tutos!
Great Tutorial, thank you! I followed every step, but somehow my letters are not as transparent as yours. It's rather milky white 😅 Any tips on how to solve that?
Thanks a ton 🙏 appreciate the feedback. Try turning every layer off and on and seeing which one causing a discomfort. Something tells me it might be the LIGHT/SCREEN layer that is too bright, might be worth darkening it. Let me know
Thanks for the feedback. Basically you can achieve the glass effect simply by creating distortion map and applying it to the background of your graphics. The additional effects like overlays, shadows, scratches etc. are just to pump up the glass effect further.
To those unaware: it doesn't matter how you cut the apples.

awesome tutorial, I wonder if this is acheivable in a 3d setting on web, using either 3JS or even Webflow/Framer with Spline?
Need to check it out 🙏

You just need to 'clip' the Adjustment mask to the layer (Google clipping in Photoshop)

I think it is because you are using pure black color in your text or object. Try to use a lighter black
