35 years later and Marty hasn't aged a fucking day! What bullshit!!! Anyway, thanks for posting this gem of the 20th century's' greatest guitar duo. I wish it wasn't so pieced together in fragments. But fans will take what they can get of this historically amazing band.
Saw David Lee Roth back in the day just to see jason becker on lil ain't enuf tour. But I was two late, they already replaced jason cuz of ALS. I was mad as hell, nobody knew he was sick at that point. Such a short candle.
Yes, I was very grateful to play with cacophony, and we had so many good times on tour in the United States, and Japan. There was a lot more footage from Japan as the people there filmed the performances, but United States, very limited clips and scarred every frame that I had, and could get my hands on there is one video the best video savage it was professionally filmed and I received it on a VCR tape with two camera angles. It is used in hot, licks video the legendary guitar of Jason Becker. I’ve seen a few DVDs available on eBay. I also put it on my own personal website because it is not allowed on UA-cam kenstavropoulos.com/videos/not allowed on UA-cam , thanks for responding🎸😎
Hey Ken! Loved your drumming work, you sir knew how to elevate the music and accentuate the right parts. Just as a curiosity, are you still in contact with the rest of the band?
I go and visit Jason from time to time, and my friend Jimmy O’Shea lives in Sacramento, and I visit him as well, and a little bit of contact with Marty❤
Yes!!! You don't know how much I was hoping to see more Cacophony material and just today, 02/09/24, I was able to find you. Thanks for sharing these gems. Thank you very much!!
There is one more video from the Rheem theater award show where we played three songs, I received a VCR tape with two camera angles shortly after that show in 1989 and it was the first song that I edited back in the day. It’s used in the legendary guitar of Jason Becker, hot licks video and it’s not allowed on UA-cam but it’s on my personal website.kenstavropoulos.com/cacophony-savage-live-1989-rheem-theater/
Amazing footage!! sounding great considering the time... Marty & Jason are amazing, especially in the mid-section far eastern harmony (of the song Ninja).. No leggings for Peter Marrino :D.. hope to see more from that show.. not a lost footage but lost treasure.. I hope one day a miracle come up and Jason be all fine.
@@kenaroo2 Thank you for CACOPHONY videos. Cacophony is my one of favorite band all time. It's very nice to take a message from Cacophony's drummer. :-)
It’s not allowed on UA-cam because of copyright, it’s used in legendary guitar of Jason Becker, hot licks DVD. I put that Two cam shot together a long time ago. The film crew sent me a VCR tape. It was the best of all of the clips, I’ve seen the hot licks DVD on eBay. It has a lot of great stuff of Jason, Jason, Becker rules!
@@kenaroo2 He's a really cool mellow guy. He was giving my son bass lessons at Skips Music in Sacramento in the mid 2000s. He had interesting stories about the biz and about the song "Don't Turn Around" which was a hit for Ace of Base, but not for his band Eyes.
I loved playing ninja on tour, I always look forward to playing that song with the band. We played it a little differently than the album little more straight ahead, which I preferred there won’t be any drumming for me for a while. I have a health issue and won’t be playing for 3 to 6 months so don’t hold your breath. Thanks for the comment. Keep on rocking.🤘
@@kenaroo2aw Man! Just wanna thank You so much for making this happen, for your talent and passion. Sad to hear about your health condition. It's really heartbreaking, but You keep the fires burning and living your best life near your loved ones. All the best. @@nathaninostroza7655 thank you very much. I am glad to say that I am in remission and getting back to my normal life mountain biking recording in my studio kayaking and hiking.❤️😎👍🔥🔥

those times when they can rule the world with only 6 strings..
3:38 Got to admit, never seen that before. Think Priest sometimes did it but that was rhythm playing. Amazing all round.
This is Amazing! Great Video! Sounds even better live, well most good music does. Love it! 😎🤙

He must have sneezed while tipping the video name.

Superfantastic!!!!!! Thanks Ken! :)
Thank you for this Video Isaw Marty doing sweeping haha
Great video! I have to agree with earlier comments that this must be from 1988.
Marty Friedman : I don't sweep, i can't do such techniques.....
Also Marty Friedman 3:56
It's very amusing, at 4:13 Freidman attempting an anemic EVH "jump" move.
Absolutely incredible!!
