Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Jay, don’t ever worry about telling us information. For those of us who are not truckers it will be useful for us to understand how and why you truckers do things and then we can give you more room and be more considerate generally to you all.

That yard in the opening shots was really very tight to get an artic around. Not a lot of room. Obviously the van driver was having a bad day but you always need to respect other people who are also trying to do a days work in the best way possible. Stay safe and take care.

Hi Jay, when doing a spinney and parked up close to a wall, how to you judge the distance to allow for the trailer tail swing? I once saw a driver spin round, next to an external fire escape. The rear trailer bumper hooked on to it and dragged it totally off the wall. I decided to reverse out, but always been nervous since then.

you'd imagine if city councils and the powers to be, limit trucks to certain roads wouldn't it make sense then for them to give ye extra wide turning rooms on said corners .... or i guess they couldn't care less cause we all know stores have magic farms and shelves in the back

Im a new driver buddy....this is the only industry( iv worked in many others) where there's such a shitty attitude from other drivers towards you. We're all doing the same job. I don't get it.
