You've almost got that truck tricked out exactly the way I want it! I've actually done a somewhat similar repair in an Auto Zone parking lot on one of my cars (in the rain!). Great job on the video (as always)! Whenever you're ready to work on the Corvette....brakes..and I want to buy some Borla atak pipes!
I changed the spark plugs to my 2002 toyota tacoma I thought it was going to stop the engine shaking but it didn't do you think is it because I didn't change the ignition oil ?
Darn Dave I was waiting for bonus footage of the COFFEE MUG. Now my whole day is out of whack. Not a Honda video but will go with it. Have a good weekend 👍
That Denso coil with the blue "D" on it is an AutoZone Duralast coil. A lot of the Duralast coils are made by Denso but not all of them. I work a 2nd job at AZ & most (not all) of the Duralast coils are made by the companies that make the OEM coils.
@@themechanic6117 I've seen dielectric grease cause headlight sockets to melt because the person used too much. Just a few days ago I seen a AZ customer install a new headlight bulb in his Toyota Sienna & he applied some dielectric grease to the socket & when he turn the lights on smoke started coming from the socket.
I had a customer here that replaced his entire ignition system and injectors for "maintenance" with the cheapest parts he could find on Amazon. His Yukon runs like crap now. Just looking at the injectors I can see some weren't working. Now he's looking over $900 to get 8 injectors from advance auto parts... and that's assuming the cheap ignition components are working. I told him to look for his old injectors because it could save him hundreds. He threw them out...

lol, thanks for the comment Arthur!
Is it necessary to remove that air filter hose? Also, is it this easy to replace these on the 3.4L 2001 Tacoma? Thanks!
Great Video a real time saver thank you very much very well done BIll
Replacing injectors is always expensive but I think he got he's money's out from those. Nice job recording the process.
Wyatt, no more drinking and posting comments for you! lol
@@BigDog50001 🤣🤣🤣
thanks for the vid , did mine rn
👍
I just pulled a couple coils and there was a LOT of oil in there... is there supposed to be oil present under the coils and in the spark plug area?
Late reply, but that is from a leaking valve cover.
Is the #3 coil normally a different plug than the other three? My 02 prerunner does. All parts I see online appear to all have the same plug
Should be the same plugs in all cylinders. I am not aware of any of those having a different plug in just one cylinder.

I suspected, thanks for the input!
Doesn't dielectric grease cause unwanted resistance when used on electrical connectors and spark plug boots?
No, the stuff I used is designed for this.
I've never seen dielectric grease cause any problems. 👍

Agree with your recommendation about using the manufacturers original equipment. Could you mention the means that I would be able to do this
After a while you just learn from experience who makes certain components for vehicle manufacturers.
Can't you take an Ohm meter hook it up to the connector contact and do some resistant testing, a shame to throw away good coils?

I am not a fan of preventative maintenance with really cheap parts that's for sure! Thanks for the input Jonathan!
Nice simple easy job
I like easy lol!
9:23 He put these nuts on first, it's the gentlemanly thing to do, thx for the vid helped a ton, sorry about the bad joke, but not really
Nice video 👍
Thank you!
Havent seen the 4 cylinder models in awhile
Thanks bubba!!!
Is it normal for the truck not to start properly after putting new coils?
No, that does not sound normal.

There should not be oil on the boots, why?
whats wrong with aftermarket?
Some aftermarket manufacturers are ok but many are junk.
Instead of using dielectric grease, use petroleum jelly. It's cheaper and does the same thing. FYI.
Thanks for the comment!
Um no it doesnt offer any di electric resistance and also deteriorates the rubber
