I want a cupcake too! 😁 Thanks for participating in and shouting out People April! I got through David Copperfield a few years ago through a strict regimen of 30 pages a day. I can’t say Dickens is my favourite author.
I was wondering if I needed to read David Copperfield first, but will just go straight to Demon Copperhead. I so behind with booktube I need to catch up with what is going on. Happy Easter.
@@MIDDLEoftheBookMARCH I’m still stuck in Middlemarch!! 🤪 It’s not an easy read with all the foot notes which are at the back of the copy I’m reading. She was a brillant and very cultured but she’s trying to show it a little too much for my taste… Sorry! 😬
5:34 - Currently reading "I'm Afraid of Men" by Vivek Shraya. It's been on my list for a while, and I'm happy that I've finally gotten around to reading it.
Luanne Rice, I haven't read her in a long time, that story sounds good, a good book to get into if I wanted to get back reading her. Cupcakes? I hope you got to have one. I made a whole bunch of cupcakes for my contribution to Easter Dinner. They were a hit last year, so trying again this year. Probably though, have to make something new next year.
Hi Kim, I have Hard Times by Dickens on my Kindle. I've only read Oliver Twist by Dickens so far. I tried to read David Copperfield to my kids when they were young and they DNF'd It LOL Aloha.
I found David Copperfield exceptionally boring. When my kids had to read it in High School, I had to pretend to like it in order to discuss it with them. (They didn't like it either)
Here are some cupcakes for you: 🧁🧁 I've been toying with reading David Copperfield, but I've decided that IF I make the jump I'm either going to do the audio or read it on the Serial app. I don't think I could handle just reading it straight through!
I like the sound of the Alice Hoffman short story. Trans/active sounds interesting and important, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
🥰🥰🥰
I hope today has been relaxing and beautiful in the face of yesterday.
It was. 🥰

Ditto! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad you liked Vivek Shraya! I'm really unfamiliar with Gwendolyn Ann Smith, that's so cool to learn more about her! Thank you!!
🥰🥰🥰
Finally you were able to post 😊❤
These late in the book DNFs are vicariously satisfying to me! 😂
🤣🤣🤣

I got bored with Demon Copperhead in the last third. Since I bought it new, I finished it.
Oh no... the last Kingsolver book I read was Unsheltered and I hate read it for a buddy read. 😠
Controversial opinion here: I DNFed Demon Copperhead. Just like I did David Copperfield!
I’m late but I hope you had a wonderful Easter time! 🙂 I bought David Copperfield too but haven’t read it yet… 😅
I did thank you! So get reading! 🤣🥰

I really enjoyed David Copperfield- although David isn’t my favorite character in the book- but I’d be bored if we all liked the same books! 😉
And we are NOT boring! 🤣🥰
Heck no!

Oh good! Looking forward to that one! 😄
I hadn't read David Copperfield when I picked up Demon Copperhead. It will be interesting to see if you get on with Demon better.
I'm looking forward to it. 😊

No cupcakes but I made a blueberry cheesecake pie and linked the bowl clean!🤣🤣🤣
@@MIDDLEoftheBookMARCH That sounds yummy
I'm saying! It can be exhausting. Thanks for persevering, Kim. I loved A Fine Balance.
Good video! From japan
You looked quite relieved and smiley by the end. Shame about David Copperfield but it is very long.

I am hoping to get to one of Shreya’s books before the end of the month.
I’m so stinking curious as to what you thought of A Fine Balance. Transactive sounds incredible and important. David gets chopped!!
Sad about your David Copperfield DNF but respect your decision.
I hope your dessert is wonderful and I feel your pain on the video do-overs.
It was and thanks! 🥰
I have read I Am Afraid of Men only yesterday and I'm quite sure that you will like that one too. It also could have been even longer though.
Great. Thanks!😊
With the exception of A Christmas Carol I have DNFed every Dickens book I've started. And it is saddening because I want so much to like them.
Oh no! I think that's why I was so disappointed. I wanted to like it so much! 😐

Your feelings on DC are completely understandable.🩶 I was just so in love with it from start to finish.

Richard Armitage is a great narrator! 🥰
