I spray a lot of custom kandy colors over metallics and pearls. Now days I buy concentrate and mix all my own with Genesis GCB-500 base clear/color blender which is a 1:1 intercoat. Its a lot cheaper for me to buy a gallon of Genesis that makes 2 gallon total, and mix my koncentrate in a 3m pps 2.0 cup as I go. If I am spraying a car I will pre mix however much I am going to feel that I need. I have used a lot of Urechem paint. Specifically their solid base colors, silk pearl base colors, and their color seal (colored sealers)
Great job as always brother!!! I have learned so much from you over the years and have done some show class paint jobs with your help! Thanks for taking the time to show others the tips and tricks of the trade, It is GREATLY appreciated!
I started painting with house of Kolor candy’s for my first time. I’m getting into using flakes a lot. Waiting to do candy over flakes to see how that will turn out
Absolutely amazing work as always my brother. Thank you for the awesome video. I’m hoping to spray my ride soon & using candy color to get the color that is close to what I have now. I love the color but it’s about 25 years old and needs to be redone. Much love going your way always my brother.
I guess you’re simply saying to be consistent in everything. How you mix, what the temperature is, gun & settings, ratio of products in the cup, brand, number of coats, color part numbers and so on. If doing an entire vehicle, I know I would have a 3-ring binder with plastic page protectors with all this information written down clearly. One copy to the owner, and one copy on file for the VIN so a future panel can be painted if damaged. It makes good practice as we don’t have our work on video. Thanks kindly for sharing.
Thanks for the continuous informative videos that always helps and are really fun to watch. I'm wondering when painting with different company candy concentrates and metallics or bases is it necessary to use each and every different company reducer for only their products or can I use any good quality automotive reducer for all companies concentrates and metallics?
My son’s Mustang has an existing Kandy Apple red pearl, that is in decent shape for wear, but the car sat in the sun for a long time before we found it, so the top is almost pink. How should I recoat with the same color? Do I need to get the old clear and Kandy off or can I just scuff the clear and re-shoot the Kandy?
Are you doing a whole VW? Looks like that’s a convertible rear deck lid…. Would love to see how you candy paint a whole Bug with all of the rounded lines…
Stupid question, do you have to paint almost all the panels and everything on the car at the same time to get the shade/tone of color to match? i.e. bumper looks too light while hood looks to dark or some such?
Looks great nice video and informative 😊😊😊

@@PHARRAWAY all good my man!! Keep up the grind! Love the vids! 🤙🏻
What diffrence does it make to use intercoat vs clear for mica powder and candy
The intercoat clear will make the candy spray like it was paint when you use clear coat you will be adding to many layers of clear which is not good
🔥🔥🔥
If you mix color shift or holographic with the clear can you still see the silver metallic?
@@kevinarcher7701 yes
Is this sunset gold?
correct
Stupid question, do you have to paint almost all the panels and everything on the car at the same time to get the shade/tone of color to match? i.e. bumper looks too light while hood looks to dark or some such?
