No worries, as I recall I was asked relatively broad questions, on the line of "what are some of your hobbies". And, I did do the same piece then I was re-directed on it. Good Luck, hope this helped 👍🏻

I want to sing Bohemian Rhapsody or She Loves Me Like a Rock from the Fighting Temptations but I feel like the majority will go for theatrical songs?
@@curtismccarthy1923 The point of asking for a song in auditions like these, is usually to A) test ur ability to sing (obvious) but B) more importantly, to test your performance skills and story telling ability in song, that's why most ppl choose musical numbers. But if you think those songs give you the best opportunity to showcase all your skills then defintely go with those. I myself, prepared I See Fire by Ed Sheeran (plus guitar) and I Believe from The Book of Mormon, but I wasn't asked to perform a song in the end.

hey man i know this was a while ago but i wanted to know some things is the national youth theatre free? how much of the summer does it take up? was it worth it? i tried looking up some of my questions but i couldn’t find anything helpful. any help would be amazing!
How much does NYT cost: The Intake course (including accommodation) was around £880 when I took part. How much time does it take up: The Junior intake course (14-17), was a two week course when I took part. Is it worth it: Yes. Not just for what the course Itself provides, but for what the community at large can provide, if you let it. Good luck with your tape, if you choose to audition
