Have found you can modify batteries to fit by part removing notches, bit of a bodge but works.

Yes I thought of doing that Brian but just decided to keep my old batteries for the old tools (drills) ..when the batts finally die and if the drill is still alive I may do it.

I was in Lidl in Sunday this week. Not in my branch, I wonder if they role things out regionally? I will keep an eye out.
I have been after one of these for a while

Hi Harvey I think its pretty much Nationally but different stores get a different amount so sometimes they sell out quite quickly. I recently wanted a pressure washer from Aldi to review which was a Sunday item...it opens at 10am on a Sunday and I was there at 10.20 and they had sold all 4 of their measly allocation of 4.
I immediately went to 2 other nearby ones to be told that too had sold out and people were queuing up for them before the store opened.
It's also worth asking an operative at Lidl (if you can find one on the floor) to check if they have any in the store room as they sometimes have items in there that are not on display...hope you get one

Sorry to hear that Graham ...I suppose different folk have different experience....as mentioned in the vid that 1st drill is over 9 years old now and still working inc battery have never had one burn out (some with quite heavy use before I retired)...just a couple of replacements that went faulty after about a week or 2 ...but I have many many of them so don't think that's bad inc the impact driver I reviewed ...yes they are great for wheel nuts. I do like Ferex as well (just that my Lidl store is nearer) ...in fact I recently wanted their power washer to review as it was a brilliant buy c/w patio cleaner for £50!...but 3 stores sold out immediately :(
