Top job Sandy , had the same thing on a 2015 fwd Transit jumbo , managed to pull the lead down , new eyelet, cleaned up lead , hydraulicly crimped it ( very cheap tool now online ) , job done happy punter 👍👍👍

Just in the middle of this on a 2019 van, exactly the same broken tag on the feed cable! Gotta agree it's a bad design! Done the same for the power cable & now it cranks from the starter, but still it won't crank from the key, I'm off to check all the fuses now 🤔
A few months ago, my mate was off work for a week and gave his van to a agency driver. The silly prat pranged the passenger side front light panel with another driver. Since that happened the van sometimes struggles to crank into life. So we could drive to a place that's a 2 hour drive and no problem, and after we've done our job which would take like 2 hours for example, we get back in the cab to start it and my mate and I hear some clicking whilst you hear the engine slowly struggling to turn the engine on but no luck. We turn the heater, radio, tail lift kill-switch etc off and give it a minuite and eventually boots into life. I'm not sure what it is. The battery will be fine so I'm not sure if it's something to do with the alternator, anything electrical like the fuse box. Any ideas?
Do Trafics/vivaros suffer with this also would anyone know? My friends 2015 1.6 dci trafic struggles to start, tested the battery and it failed, so replaced with a new battery but it’s started playing up again.
I watched a video on a 2006 Vivaro with the same issue although the engine bay being smaller makes it less accessible, the guy said he had to remove the bumper. I think I have this problem now on my Trafic

@@sandyande o bought some small assorted boxes with 8mm 10 mm and 13 mm holes , suitable for various cable , off ebay , about a tenner a box 👍👍

Yep, a 30amp inside the under bonnet distribution box had blown as well
