    Was anyone else rooting for that turtle while maybe feeling a little bad for the shark when it failed to get a meal?

      I feel sorry for both species. I'm glad the turtle escaped, but just because a shark failed once doesn't mean it'll give up. Tiger sharks will eat anything, but I find their faces to be adorable in a way. I've watched videos of Jim Abernethy and Emma who's very docile around him; being friends for over 20 years.

      I never knew they were so quick in the water. The turtle actually made that look quite easy. I'm impressed.

      I wonder how long the turtle can swim that fast without taking a breath and does it have to stop and take in many breaths to recover or can it take quick breaths and keep going.

    They move like ghosts. Materializing like shadows then melting into the background. I like how the bait fish part respectfully like a biblical scene, for their nemesis to pass unimpeded.

    Your dulcet tones usually lull me into a state of relaxation. Often after watching your FULL video and clicking the like button, I can easily drift off to sleep. Now you put this video out and I realize it's more than the voice. It's your choices. Your cuts, pans and choice of music all create the same atmosphere. Your voice seems to be just one of the instruments in the symphony. I hate to get all metaphorical about it but this is me being honest. Great work. I like your choices.

    I love your work. I believe the more we learn about sharks as a whole, the greater the benefits for each side. I live in Lunenburg Nova Scotia , where there's a study going on now tagging and weighting the sharks and we are getting amazing results that just years ago were unheard of. Last summer we had some beautiful sharks that we have come to love and enjoy, your work is so amazing and I've shared your work and shots on Facebook, hope you don't mind. We have a very, very large abundance of seals and fish that we believe the sharks feast upon for the months they are here and we get to enjoy them. Many, many questions arise as to why the whites have lost their stronghold off the tip of Africa, gone are the days when you would see dozens off of seal island, I have my theories (ORCAS) being the number 1 cause, I pray the sharks find peace and tranquility wherever they feel safe and food is in abundance. Please sir, we look forward to your work and please keep up the amazing work. Is there a place where someone could make a donation to your wonderful services, thank you again.

    Carlos, I’m still catching up on videos that I wasn’t notified for and I’m devastated as I’m going along.
    This video was incredible and that word doesn’t do it justice. I do not have an adjective good enough to describe your work. The music was so beautiful and serene.
    Amongst the serenity was the battle between the shark and the turtle and I found myself so conflicted. My first thought was swim away, go little turtle, that’s it turn over he can’t bite your hard shell. Then it was oh but it’s nature and the shark has to eat, maybe it’s really hungry and it will die if it doesn’t eat soon. Of course all this thought was in the space of mere seconds 😂 I was very relieved the turtle escaped to safety, I admit it!
    I have a Question if you’re able to get through all the catch up comments I’ve left you this morning. At around 12:45 in the video, there is a Shiver of sharks lying on the bottom of the ocean, what type of sharks are they please?
    It’s really eerie looking almost like a lot of crosses next to each other in a graveyard. Not exactly of course but it gives an impression of such.
    I’m really stunned at how many videos I’ve missed. I’m very happy that I’ve got to have a wonderful binge morning on a gloomy day. There’s always an upside 😂. Thanks for the joy Carlos ❤️

    Anyone know why shark tail fins are vertical and not horizontal like dolphins?

    • @gyrospinup
      @gyrospinup 3 місяці тому +6

      Whales, dolphins and porpoises need to surface for air. The horizontal fins allow them to get to surface quicker. Vertical fin as on fish, allow more for sharp turns and maneuvers.

      @@gyrospinup thank you kindly.

    • @CoyoteCourtney
      @CoyoteCourtney 3 місяці тому +2

      Just for the record, I'm pretty sure the reason for the vertical versus horizontal tails thing is due to whales and other marine mammals evolving from organisms whose backbones bend up and down more easily (like yours), instead of side to side.

    • @gyrospinup
      @gyrospinup 3 місяці тому

      @@CoyoteCourtney If that was the case, canines would wag their tails up and down rather than back and forth.

    • @CoyoteCourtney
      @CoyoteCourtney 3 місяці тому

      @@gyrospinup Nonsense, do dogs swim with their tails? But here's a real question for you: if whales have up and down tails because they need to breathe air, why did ichthyosaurs have vertical tails like fish?
