I think the biggest barrier to a lot of the pencil grips is confidence. The tripod grip is so deeply ingrained from an early age the others initially feel "wrong". Getting comfortable with them has been a game changer for me.

"I've been holding pencils, for the last ten years... professionally." Jono, that is damn awesome. :)

I don’t think I’ve ever used more than two pencil grips…maybe I’m even doing those wrong lol. I do know how insanely helpful it is to switch up when shading large areas…hummm worth looking into. Great work!

Very helpful and one more thing, it will be great helpful if you share what model of I pad you use and can you make a video of it. Thanks

I use tripod grip exclusively. But I also let the texture of the paper show fairly heavily. I do like how it was started by saying the correct way is what works for you. I've had too many teachers say there is a right and wrong way to art. And that is simply not true

Do you ever use burnishing tools on the surface of your paper for texture effects?

I'm now suffering from my absence from drawing, and for 23 days I have not drawn, and if I had drawn, I would have drawn a little and for a few hours a day. Is there a way for me to return to drawing in a large way and draw a day for hours up to 8 hours a day?

Pinterest has a ton of drawings to get some inspiration or just draw whatever you see in your environment! Just grab the damn pencil and draw!!

The way to return to drawing is to stop thinking and start drawing. It's really that simple. Don't blow it up to huge proportions in your mind. Pick up a pencil and draw. It's only an issue if you make it one.

@@neva.2764 Thank you very much for the advice. I know that if I leave drawing for a while, this will affect me, and I will work hard to return to drawing soon.

@@ameer.alkaby There's the power of your mind. If you think it will affect you then it will. You might want to stop thinking about it in that way.
      It doesn't help you.
For the power of your thoughts check out Bruce Lipton. His content is mainly about health but it works on any topic.
"Hey, I can't draw right now but it's ok. I'm fine. I look forward to picking it up soon and in the meantime I'm going to continue being awesome" is a more productive way to go about it.
Our minds are EXTREMELY powerful. You can heal stage 4 cancer or regrow a surgically removed thyroid gland just with your thoughts/beliefs. We are powerful creators 😉

I don't know, But as a artist(not professional) but I see I don't have to pressurize myself on how to hold my pencil to respective of my subject...It's just automatically shift to its style on what I'm working on. So I feels kinda natural as an art lover. At last it's your artistic instinct ur body motor action will naturally work according to it's need. Thank U❤
