That's what I love about these U-boats... it's the most pure, unrestricted 7FDL sound you can get...
Maybe, but it's hard to beat the roar of an EMD 2-stroke.

The early uboats did, but all the half notches did was speed the engine up while keeping the previous notch's power. Rebuilds eliminated half-notches.
