- A simple maintenance job showing Raptor Owners how to replace the rear diff fluid and Transfer Case fluid change on their 2017-2020 Ford Raptor. Same process for the 2015-2020 F150.
I used the the OEM fluids that you can find in your owner's manual and easily obtain from your parts department.

You should remove the full plug first before you drain. That way if the fill plug gets stuck or damaged, you still have options and don’t have a dry transfer case.
I loosed it all the way. I did not remove it fully because the underneath was fully backed in dirt and did not want contaminates going in while draining. I let it drain for 30 minutes. I cleaned the surface as good as I could. The pressure was fully released up top before removing the drain plug.
Offroad Alliance 👍👍 that lil was DARK. Mine at 50k did not look as bad. Still had some red tint in it. I plan on doing 25k intervals on my transfer case and diffs on the new truck.
Keep It Dirty Off-Road yeah Helio, I was a bit surprised! I’ll be draining it again in about 10k and see how it’s doing. It cost me under 10.00 to buy the fluids.
How many quarts did it take?
How often are you supposed to replace the fluid?
I have the same question. Did ya get a reply?
transmission fluid in the transfer case? That's weird they call for that. Cool video though!
Dragon800 yes sir. That’s what ford puts in them now on the Ford Raptor.
