Well, he kinda earned that in a way. Skinny (Steve) is that band. He is the one constant with mushroomhead's history. And he has earned his spot as an epic metal drummer, who carries the band Mushroomhead!

Say what you want about the band and their current lineup, these folks have been one of the coolest bunch of folks I’ve met. They’re always awesome when I get to see them all again at a show.

Honestly, this band went from one of the best in my book to not even being in the book.
Yeah that’s the damn truth. I went to every show, hung out with them.. was my fav band. Was excited when heard new album. Liked the 1 song cause it was reminiscent of old MH then it quickly went to shit when I heard Jackie’s forced raspy voice. Another year she’ll be coked out and tatted to death.
I never really found them interesting to begin with.

I liked them a lot too but really only the first 2 albums. Feel the same way about Slipknot though, plus I figured heard them when I was like 19 or 20 years old and my taste has changed a lot. Mainly listen to stuff like Archspire and Revocation.

It is really sad how this band turned out. Back in high school XX and XIII where some of my all time favorite albums but it was just downhill from there.
Have you checked out savior sorrow . In my opinion their best to date but also still has Jeffery with them .
"Savior Sorrow", which came out right after "XIII" (the whole pinnacle of the band's career) is maybe the second one better on the list. "BSFUC" is actually their weakest work in my opinion, "TR&TB" ain't half bad, tho and we just got "A Wonderful Life" which is maybe still a little staggering 'cause we got new members and they need to engage some more with the band and our ears, but it's still refreshing and hopeful for a bright future, maybe. @@frankammirati3385 Savior is good as far as the songs go, but the production quality is weird to me. It's so dry, while XX and XIII were so much more full-bodied in their sound. Their most recent album was the first one to break that trend ever since.

This video is sad cus i use to love them. Just like all great underground type groups/bands, their early shit was good and the new age made them sound bad because these groups only made their money off cd sales and touring well, now its only touring so band members get mad, managers get greedy due to CDs not being a thing anymore. Music is hardly sold nowadays.
Used to be my favorite band, but after Waylon Shmotz and Jeffrey left the band, I haven't been super impressed with them or their live shows.
Maybe once they drop their new album, I'll begin to like the new line up.

To answer your question, i think it all happened when skinnys ex died, the one who they named the righteous and the butterfly after. She died, waylon was fired because he was butting heads with skinny and stitch, schmotz left prior to that for reasons he never disclosed, jeffrey nothing quit and took tommy church with him to which they both had a LOT of shit to say about skinny and stitch, and the fact that skinny is such a control freak over the band. If they had any sense skinny should step down from the kit. He could still have a major role in the band, but being the head of everything has taken its toll and now MRH is a ghost of its former self.
I'm a fan of both bands but weren't MRH around since 1995 and SK 1998?

Just got rid of several toxic band members from the past. About Jeff's departure was a agreement where Jeff told the band to pick Mr. Rauckhorst as their new singer. Jeff's vocals are in bad poor quality nowadays due to old ages.

Probably wasn't the exact same bus, since bands can't always rent the same bus every time they tour, but sometimes it does happen.

I dont consider Skinny an original member anymore. Hes done everything in his power to make this band not what it was and into something HE wants it to be. Jason is the only reason this band is still worth seeing and listening to anymore and i highly doubt at this point even he has any say in what the band does creativley anymore now that Jeff is gone. I just dont understand what happened and how someone can break ties with people youve been friends and bandmates with for over twenty years and in such a disrespectful way as well. Id say Jason is sticking around for the fans at this point but so was Jeff till he couldnt take it anymore. Once J is gone the band is done and i wont be checking out anything they put out after that.
I'm from the future, Jason isn't in the band anymore. So yea.

MRH charged fans $50 per person to take pics on the bus with them ON A CELLPHONE .. so they can afford the tour bus rental fee which is easily $1,000 a day 😂😂😂 it’s a facade they ain’t raking in that much money wonder why everyone left .. each member besides Skinny gets $750 per week 🤣🤣🤣

I love how cutely nerdy they all are. The Albums are a heady mix of ball swinging bass and drums, soulful poetic pieces and Bauhaus style experimentation. On the bus they're just like big kids. Suppose that's most bands though :)
" It's the end of the tour so nothing crazy" - someone had a thai curry paste and some dark soy sauce in there before. Now it's just the rice.
"If you don't know Mushroomhead " - just stop. Go listen. The Band Arena, which basically was an offshoot of Marillion of the 80's, but takes that unsettling carnival sound cranks it up and keeps the poetry.
