Why did Vishy Anand visit Abu Dhabi?

In an historic event, the Olympiad torch reached Abu Dhabi and we had the five-time world chess champion and FIDE Deputy President Vishy Anand, His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich, FIDE Vice President Sheikh Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla, Hussain Abdullah Al-Khoury, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club, Muhammad Al-Mazhaka, Chairman of the Qatar Chess Federation, FIDE Deputy Chair Dana Reizniece-Ozola and other dignitaries carry the Olympiad torch as it was exchanged until it reached the podium.
The ceremony was organized at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi, where chess fans and enthusiasts gathered to witness the event and to also be a part of the simultaneous exhibition.
The event was sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and organized by the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club.
