For the first level, you're supposed to hit the pow blocks before the p-switch timer runs out. This causes the coin to drop and hit the music block (dropping a spring I assume), which lets Yoshi jump over that hole so he can follow you until the place you got stuck. You can tell it's a Yoshi-follow-me level because there's a path for him on the bottom throughout the level..
So in Dashie terms, you have to hit the shits before the dundun-dunduncadun runs out, which causes the shit to drop and hit the music shit which lets the Homie Yosh jump over the shit so he can follow you while you up top doing the shit.
Main reason why I love Dashie so much, is that he real af. Like he honest af, he ain't bout no drama, and he just does whatever makes himself and us happy. May you have a great NewYear too my boi. 💕

Dashie in the last level you had to jump under the POW blocks and bump them, not grab them and toss. Not all the pow block have to be grabbed, you can bump them from below when they are on a cloud platform.
