I love how everything is sooo bright , when in my imagination, it was a dingy, small cafe as it had no windows, as said in the book ..😬😬
True
But i like how it was in the novel more tho
@@ranam_reads_quran I too like it more how it was in the book......my comment was supposed to be sarcastic.... 😭😭😭😭😭
Oh my God yess
Same! This looks so modern
According to the book everything is antique, brown toned, sepia hues
love how in the novel its supposed to be an underground cafe with no windows and a sepia hue... and this is just FILLED with windows?? it doesnt seem small either like they describe it in the book.
Well, it's hard to replicate the things described in the book. Especially since the place never really existed. The best they could have probably done was to create an entirely new set. Maybe the production company didn't have the money for that. Anyways, it's just generally safer to not expect too much on a book adaptation.
@@honeylemon06 think they could’ve done a lil bit better, but you’re right
youre right, they could’ve used something similar to midnight diner
no bc i imagined it as an underground wooden cabin kinda coffee shop and they just ruined the image of that 😭😭
@@khaya8493 same thoughts... I also think that the movie ruined the image of the café described in the book huhuh. I was even considering watching this movie but after seeing some clips, I think I would rather not
Just finished watching it after reading the book. I'll say, there are a lot of differences that are apparent in the trailer, i.e the cafe not being so dingy, Khotake being the one with alzheimers and fusagi being the nurse, no Kei, and they also added a new character. Also, without spoiling it, they changed the ending a little from how it was in the book. Changes aside, I think the movie did a decent job nailing the main themes from each of the four stories. They kind of glossed over a few things I think should have been fleshed out more; but it's overall solid imo
Where did you watch it? I couldn't find it on Netflix
Sir, could you please explain to me why kohtake (the wife in the second story) was happy after returning from past? Why was she relieved?
This is not what i expected, I thought the cafe would look like the one i went in Akihabara. It's a basement restaurant with 4 tables with no windows. I put it on my imagination 😅
I love the book, I hope to like this movie too after I watch 🥰
Just read the book. After seeing this clip I exactly had the same feeling. Lots of furniture, paintings. I expected three clocks and great acting.
This is the first book I finished reading the book in one day, after a long time. I swear I used up a roll of tissue that day. Had not cried so much reading a book. I wanna see if the movie will make me cry buckets like the book did and do justice to the book, or it'll leave a bad taste lingering in my mouth. I can already see some deviations from the book- from the location of the cafe (it's not a basement like the book said 😂), the characters all look so lively and chatty, the wife and not the husband with dementia, or was it Alzheimer's? Anyways, I'm yet to watch, so I'll give my real two cents as an after attachment to this comment of mine...maybe in some months. 😂
Have you not watched it yet? It's been quite long, and I'm waiting to see your response 😂
Here I am thinking I was the only one who did the ugly crying thinking I was just emotional that day 😅
why they are moving from their seat??
I was wondering that too.
In the novel, it was Fusagi with the dementia but here it is the Kartake??!!?🙄
Kohtake. They did reverse it. I have a feeling they made Fusagi a doctor too instead of Kohtake being a nurse.
True. I'm dismayed as well.
And also its Alzheimer's not dementia
Yes, you're right. I liked the book more than movie
Heart touching !!!!
great movie
i love this movie❤️
I wish this would be released with English subtitles
It is
@@TalyConde where tho
I just start reading this book and Need to finish before watching the movie
OKAY I JUST GOT TO KNOW THERE'S A MOVIE TOO. I- AAAAAAAA- 😭😭😭😭💙💙💙💙
感動しました。とてもおすすめです!飛行機でみました。
Just finished reading the book without knowing there is an adaptation from the book. Definitely will see this one
Mam, could you please explain to me why kohtake (the wife in the second story) was happy after returning from past? Why was she relieved?
i remember being in this movie. was so awesome!
send money for signatures - kentaro ito (the cat)
I just found the books series and now I found out there is a TV series!
Just finished the two books,,❤
The movie looks horrible, the books were great, not cheesy. The lead actress is all wrong for the role she doesn’t deliver the lines mono tone in a cool tone manner like the character Kazu in the book. I wish the writer writes another book about the cafe. I think he could do a prequel book about Kazu’s mother last few times she poured the coffee to the end of the first time Kazu poured hers.
It do have another part called before the coffee gets cold : tales from the cafe
At the moment there are another 4 books from these series
I would want to go back and see my younger self as a new soul
Just finished the book! But the scenes in this trailer doesn't match with what I imagined while reading the story 😕 The cafe's supposed to be with dim lights and no windows. The movie is much more colourful I guess😕
Hoping to watch it soon! I wonder what the movie will be like compared to the book. I am currently reading BTCGC: Tales from the Cafe, and so far I've been tearing up and hurting on my bed at 2 a.m.
Where tf is my home girl kei 😭
Where can someone in America watch this ? Almost done w this book and love it
İ just finished this book, aww it is so cozy and warm, emotional and precious for me. İ really like this book, but i think i need different final, that's why I'll read next parts of this novel, thanks for this breathtaking 📚❤
Btw, i think Kothake and Fusage part is changing, what do you think?
I was thinking it would be better if it gets an anime adaptation Japanese live actions do not have a good reputation. I can see myself looking forward to it's anime adaptation if it gets any that is.
Yes to this!
CLANG-DONG! Ting-a-ling was just how I imagined it instead lol
Where to watch the movie?
Where to watch?!?!
Where can I get this movie to watch?
Maybe they should make this into anime instead..
just because its japanese😭😭
@@colinmacsherry right 😭
Just because japan. pleaseee foreigners need to stop that everything japan's created and done is anime related 😑😑😑
You should prepare a box of tissue before watching it. Trust me. You'll need it
Where can I watch it?
nonton ini dimana siii
They made a lot of changes from the book, even the man with Alzheimer’s…😢
The bright setting and windows isn't bothering me much but why is kohtake with Alzheimer's??? Like why??
They should have made a Anime
Its not even from manga. Not everything about Japan is always supoosed to be anime related. duuuh
@@sirgawain6844 There are animes that came from Light novels. It's not a manga-only thing.
@@gergom.8310 that's not my point. However, this is not light novel. it's literary work.
Most dumbest reenactment of the novel. Made such a heartwarming novel into a joke. Coukdnt watch more than 10 minutes
I just finished the book that sucks !!
Aww that’s such a bummer, it could’ve been done so well
I agree! I didn’t imagine the novel like this at all. I think they rushed the adaptation
Worst adaptation of a novel i have seen in years. Everything is messed up. The cafe, Kazu, Hirai, Fusagi, Fumiko and all the charachters aren't done justice
this is nothing like the book lmfao
This looks even worse than the book...
This trailer doesn't justify the book in any possible way. Disappointed to say the least.
