- Movie Summary - Café Funiculi Funicula
There is a cafe on the streets of Tokyo. But, it's not an ordinary one. A specific seat of the cafe can take you to the past. But, there are rules and there’s a limit. Breaking them can put you in danger. Some say it's just a rumour, others believe in it blindly. Who’s speaking the truth?
Let's dive into the story of “Café Funiculi Funicula” to find out the reality. - Фільми й анімація
it's just sad that they change who has the dementia, it was Fusagi, not Kohtake, it's the husband who lost his memories not the wife based on the book but on the adaptation, they present it as the wife who has dementia. :(( Kohtake is a nurse, she can take care of Fusagi in case what will happen in the future but the changed it huhu
The movie doesn't follow the book. I found so many differences after just 3 minutes of the video. I recommend you read the book.
Example: there is another rule - you cannot get up from that time traveling chair and you must return before the coffee gets cold.
There were no windows in the caffe, it was in the basement with dim light.
They also added some non existent characters.
this movie really disappointed me having loved the book so dearly. :( i dont understand why they changed the things they did
@@moonIightbae I don't get it niether. The book was well-written and I could imagine all the scenaries and characters very vividly. The colors, light, sounds, everything. I hope someone else will make another and way better movie than this one here. It is such a shame not to use this book as movie inspiration.
@@GiovannaDomenica also the cafe was much smaller since it was a basement cafe with a seating capacity of 9 and a very old aesthetic. It really seems the people making the movie just read the summary on the back and googled other details while making the film😂
@@GiovannaDomenicaapart from all the other stuff they got wrong.. I think the worst part is that Kazu's demeanor is completely different. She is supposed to be expressionless throughout
To be honest i found the book more interesting then this clip, our imagination was far beautiful than this
Exactly
True tho
Kiedy film będzie w Polsce? Przeczytałam książki i jestem oczarowana tematem.
I watched this movie on a flight to Japan back a few years ago. It really brought tears to my eyes, which is kind of awkward being a man surrounded by a ton of random strangers.
Just finished the book. I was imagining an old cafe, not this kind of cafe and I imagined Kazu as this mysterious cool girl. Also they interchange the characters, it was Fusagi who got dementia. But I still i want to watch this movie. What's the title and where can I watch it with subtitles please?
I loved the book, but cannot find anywhere to watch the movie. This recap is going to be all I can have for now. Thanks!
This changes some plot in the story. I find the book more engaging. The same goes for other books that were made into a film.
The drama...seems far more dramatic than the book itself, also, the Kazu in my imagination is way cooler than her 😮
I read the book. You got one of the stories all wrong
Read the book, don't waste time on the movie. The writer of the script must have thought "let's change it all...."
The music of doing the ritual newely made me want to giggle. She's just pouring the coffee, to help a bereaved person. They need to take notes the Bartender (anime).
loved the book but dunno how accurate the movie is. Instead of the windows and walls it looks right as book
After reading the book, the movie was slightly inaccurate at certain things. But really good adaptation of certain characters' actions/feelings.
Still prefer the book.
the moment we realize pur imagination was more beautiful than this movie 🍿
This is a movie id love to see Studio Ghibli do!
wait?! there is a film on the book !!!!! I didn't know about it!
But the cafe had no windows!
An Australian film? 😮
Just read, Before the Coffee G yes ets Col, the book is much better than the film that I just watched. Although the film is a sweet story that reminds me of the book, I encourage anyone to read the book. There’s actually four of them now in the series.
Imo, have it adapted by Koreans. Hehe! Like the Goblin kind of series “aura/vibes” it may be betterr?
it is a very poor adaptation of the book. overall not at all great as compared to the book! they even changed the story!
icl the book was boring i think because the whole book in the cafe and they couldn’t even move from the seat. i wanna watch the movie
