The Importance of Correct LOFT on your Driver! 😳
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 вер 2024
- We all get told we need to hit up when it comes to the driver, which is correct given how the golf club is designed but we preferably still want a de-lofted golf club when doing so. If we get this working in a functional manner, combined with a driver that is lofted correctly for us - we can optimise our launch conditions with the Driver.
As always - a huge thanks to Bobby for letting us share his ZEN Golf Mechanics experience with you guys!

Marcus & George are my favorite UA-cam golf guys period. You repeatedly take players from where they are to the promised land. That extra crispy impact sound at the end of each session is pure gold! We’ll done gents.
Super lesson overview with a guy who can really play. Love the two tennis balls on the golf club giving a visual of the path. Excellent.
Could watch this all day. Thanks again for great content ❤
Y'all have helped my golf swing so much! I've been watching your videos (2 or 3 a day) and practicing the movements. I glean something new from each video, things I'm sure you stated in others but that stood out for me in that particular one at that moment. Yesterday, I went to the range so I could practice and watch the ball flight. Drastic improvement over what I've done before with all the clubs! I was hitting driver 40-50 yards further than previously. I really focused on loading and unloading - it felt like I was really crouching and practically jumping. In this video you emphasized the rhythm - don't rush 3 to 4. That was another important element for me! I know that a session or two with you would help tremendously, but there are several thousand miles between us. So for now, I'll glean from your videos - thanks for sharing your wisdom & insight! I love it!
Great visuals and information to help clear up perceptions that many golfers start with and never do figure out the right perception and understanding of how your body motion control what the club does
Can’t wait to get back for another lesson
We can't wait to have you back Lloyd!
Mincing those drives 🔥
Awesome video, just strapped two tennis balls to my 5-wood to try and it just made me click on how I should be moving! The two balls moving up together applies to irons as well right? Short game?
Here is the original video with the irons

Is this move ok for a 65 old who has had back surgery? (disc replaced l3-l4 with a 2 small rods in place for healing) My surgeon said I should have full mobility to play golf .... I made your tennis ball contraption and it immediately showed me I was presenting the clubbed first at the ball, this is a good train aid...
Wow chaps. Thanks for showing me how utterly rubbish I am at golf 😂
He seems to have some serious power, can he let me have some, please.
I see if he has some to give away 😂
It’s interesting, in your earlier videos the emphasis was very much on intention, rather than hitting certain positions in the swing. Has your thinking changed in this area, or does it depend on the player?
All player dependent and it's just background rationale explaining functional movement patterns to explore movement potential not positions. Like showing someone how to ride a bike but letting them fall off to learn their own way.
@zengolfmechanic I was trying this today and definitely an improved flight but a couple went straight left. Any ideas why this is?
Does the same drill apply to all clubs?
That’s what I was wondering. The irons have a later release, but I’d be interested to hear how the two balls would interact on an iron shot.
I looked at previous videos and of course Marcus had already made a video concerning the iron swing in detail. It’s about two weeks ago titled “The main difference between a low and high handicap golfer “.
@@cnewton6527 so it does apply or no??
@@3spressoShot yes it does. You can watch the video from two weeks ago to see Marcus’s instruction.
theres another audio in the background thats veryyyy low pitch...?
Sounds like another golf lesson in an adjacent bay.
@@cnewton6527 Yes it's a busy facility and all coaches were working on the range 👍
What handicap is he mate ??
pro now, was plus 3. Looking to get amateur status back
Did he go up loft???
Just realized how many times my arms would be traveling away from body before making the body shift. Dumbutt
Bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb 🏌🏻♀️🤯😁👌
