@@Ayitsryan I have a 2019 Ultra with the stock preamp and pickups and ain't nothing inconsistent about that joint. I'm playing it through 2 Aguilar TH500 , Warm Audio Canvas Stereo DI ,with two 2x10 Aguilar DB cabinets and the combination sounds amazing just like Ryan's setup...I think what might have made players a little hesitant to have and play the early Ultra's was because the Fender Elite Series ( which I still own ) played and sounded totally different from the Ultra's .. The Elites definitely had a ridiculous modern esque type tone going for it where as the Ultra leaned more towards the Vintage , however went I wanted that modern tone I switched from the Dunlops to the SIT Fusions, Now with that being said I still rock my 97 Red/Red Mexican Active 5 every now and then however I still think the early 2000's Fender John Shur Basses were in a league of their own
This bass sounds amazing!
