Really excited to watch your Asian travels (feels like I am on holiday with you, lol!) Always wanted to visit Hong Kong, ever since my piano teacher went on holiday there and brought me the cutest pair on Hong Kong slip on slippers, (so since around age 9!). Bummer re Cambodia (Angkor Wat is on my must do list) When we visited Thailand we were scheduled to visit Burma (or should I say Myanmar...showing my age). They told us at the last minute the border was closed to Brits, unsafe. We didn't let it spoil our travels, we just diverted to Laos instead, or French Indochina as my dad insisted in calling it, though it hasn't been called that since 1950s! Will waiting for your next installment. What an adventure!
Hello Gill. Great to see you here and many thanks for your comments/thoughts. I'm heading to Macau today. Tomorrow I fly to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and will get a better "feel" for Cambodia. I was planning on crossing the border into Cambodia at Ha Tien, but I will wait and see. I might just stay an extra day on Phu Quoc Vietnam and fly from there to Bangkok. I will decide once I get there. I will go into Laos but no way I'm going to Myanmar. That country is in a civil war right now. Really appreciate you watching and your comments. Stay Salty!
