    Rear projection has been used in Hollywood since 1930. It’s a fantastic way to open up the universe in-camera. Remember, though, that Hollywood also dressed the set for its actors. Showing a beach? Add some sand and a palm tree. Miniatures made for doll houses and train sets can also be added for additional realism.

    The foreground lighting in the first images didn't matched the background lighting well. But these two were AWESOME! (my favourites!)

    The stormtrooper images were nicely composed too, and the rest that followed it.
    Happy to see another toy photoshoot.

    My thoughts went into the realms of Mandalorian: making a scene in a 3d program like blender and render out the left, right, top and background. Add more (cheap) screens and there goes you led lights, not needed anymore. Plus solid results!
    Great job, wonderful idea too!

    • @chris-ram
      @chris-ram Рік тому

      Take 2 different shots, 1 for background as a plate and remove reflection in post. 2nd alternative is getting it out of camera. Play with angle of reflection and move light around

      You post them online for some random strangers to validate your art and your life choices, then everyone forget about them for 6 month until some obscure photography website post your photos again in an article about toy photography then if you are lucky some book publisher or magazine will use one of your photo in their journal ... and you start all over again for the next video :))
