Just before the EP was released, local Seattle TV interviewed the band backstage at one of their concerts. This footage is quite old, so we apologize for it's quality.
I remember......going to a friends house after school ( Inter lake ) And Chris coming passed to hang out and take bong hits lol :o) as we all did back in the day... And show Lance and myself how to play stuff like Spanish Fly & countless tunes and licks... I lost touch with Chris after the Joker days and then the MOB. Saw him once in Kent at a Metal Church show.... Right after Mind crime came out... That was the last time I saw him... He was a good kid... And I'm sure he is now a good man... And always will be one of my guitar hero's Peace
Man, they were so "Beautiful".....Youthful Euphoria is so Intoxicating & Captivating! Too bad you can't bottle this kind of high! I guess it wouldn't mean as much....They must have worked very hard to produce such a feeling & to turn-on a bunch of people of all ages, races, religions, genres, & political views! When you're this 'high' you don't need much else! They were Buzzing with Pride & Truly "On Top Of The World"!! And they earned it! ~ Peace
If you can see this interview, Chris DeGarmo was really the leader and the voice of this group. It’s easy to see how it disintegrated after he left. Geoff Folks at 3:23. That smile of his...He was cute
I think its amazing footage from a classic era.And its kinda rare that a news program will cover a rock band in a positive light. We all know how things were back then with ppl trying to bash and bring down rock bands as evil etc etc. on prime time tv shows with exposes and ''in depth'' interviews.I'm not a news program fan at all and never have been but i gotta give kudos to seattle news for covering ryche like this.Done quite tastefully. And yeah this was definetly sometime after they returned from japan in 1984.Post ep release and pre rage for order album.
in the beginning,we can hear the guitar intro from before the storm-is there somewhere we can find it?cause i don't think they have performed it since... video is great,i would call it a piece of metal history!
it couldn't be filmed before the EP...... you can hear tunes from "The Warning" album in backround...... it was probably 1985, cause if it was later, they would put some tunes from "Rage" album in the video, but I don't hear anything from "Rage" record......
Lol @2:43 "How could you be angry about anything living in Bellevue?" I'd be pretty damn angry if I lived in Bellevue....Like having all the astronomical expense of living in Seattle, but without the culture and arts.
So underappreciated
I agree!

...and then they became known as krellryche....speaking of "high."
Very cool to see Scott Rockenfield's dad backstage...thank you for letting them play in your basement!

It sucks they broke up they are my favorite band I’m still rocking their awesome music 🤟🏻❤️🎸
Love the honesty and the reference to watching Leave it to Beaver reruns, haha. Amazing heart! And genius music. Queensryche forever in my soul.

geoff tate is the best singer of all time queensryche was in a league of their own that great of a band
God theyre so young
Good lord so young!! I was 14 back then! Those were the days 👍#1 Srychehead
Geoff is the best
Plain and simple....THE BEST !!! THE FUCKING BEST 👍
Before they started really hating each other. What a waste!
Just like real life, relationships sour. It happens. Still say Degarmo was the glue that kept this band a tight unit !!
@@boke75 And he was the leader, you can see it here
No just Tate's lead singer disease
I miss THIS Queensryche.
Sweet! :)
that was godhead awesome!

Geoff Tate sung this band into stardom! He will always be the only voice of Queensryche!!
This can't be 1984 and certainly wasn't filmed before the EP was released. They've already got their Rage for Order-era style appearances here.

they were opening for kiss...it was '84.
Chris looks like Jamie Lee Curtis's stunt double

💙 qeensryche 💙
I was a teenager back then .I'm nit a child of fire lol oklahoma loves 💙you
1983?
I could be wrong, but based on their looks I think that might be his girlfriend (now wife) and sister.
GEOFF TATE MADE THIS BAND LEGENDS! THEY NEED TO RETIRE THE NAME! BECAUSE ALL THEY DO IS PLAY OLD QUEENSRYCHE SONGS!
This band looks like all women. They're very suspicious...
Hahahaha far from looking like women, to us women, of those days. Guess you had to be there...
