- Today I show you how I organized my shop using a simple DIY system that uses the method of French cleat. There are many applications such as clamp rack storage and tool wall storage. Follow us in the growth of our youtube channel and our laboratory, you will see some beautiful things.

I like the design of the actual tool holders, but 1) I'm not sure if that counts as french cleat, and 2) they'd sit more stably - without needing the extended arms going down - if the "hung from" the cleat, rather than "sitting on" the cleat (like your TV hanger). Granted, the tool holders would stick out from the wall more, but I think it's worth it. You mileage may vary, though.
One of the best french cleat videos yet. Thank you.
"A place for everything, and everything in it's place" Awesome job bud.
Tongue and groove, that's so simple and clever!
Excellent giving great ideas to access all my tool easily.
This gave me so many good ideas! Thanks!
Interesting take on French cletes, I can't see myself doing it that way but if it works for you then great
Nice work!
Oh!! I'm now going to steal some great ideas from you. If I may.
hello. I use a lot french cleat, but he one I use are differents.
The one I use are 45 degre cut, so easy to do... Maybe the "hold" better...
Just maybe... Thanks for your time.
Really like the super magnet .
Impresionante la facilidad para hacer el trabajo y que buena idea para ensamblar con friso de madera
You have changed my life. 😂
there is some good idea
Where did you get the magnets?
👍
Really nice build, but isnt French cleat where you cut in 45 degrees ?
That's regular a regular French cleat. This tongue and groove he's using is the fancier French Canadian cleat
@@ericeinsmann5559 I learn something new every day 👍
@@jriis2010 I am joking of course 😁
Hello,
very nice job
can you indicate the thickness of the paneling you used?
thank you
2 cm
That's a little close to the hardware to be going crazy with magnets
Is this system really durable?
I have it since 3 years ago and it looks good
One thing I can say : by hand , totally unplugged , your way is much much easier : easy to make t&g by hand . Hard to rip consistently on long boards at 45 degrees .
Only issue : the tool holders cannot stand by them self . Unless… the sides are just “pinned “ on the side of the tool holder ..?
"Hard to rip consistently on long boards at 45 degrees"???? Dude you're new to this woodworking stuff aren't you 🙄
@@aussie5468 by hand, perfectly , on 8 feet. show me.
Why T&G instead of a 45? The idea of a 45 is to force the cleat into the wall. It will be stronger than a tongue.
perro.
Another MUTE [but somewhat helpful] video...
