Thank you for testing with an actual clean tone. Too many other UA-cam demos have a tone as crunch as AC/DC, and call it clean. As such, you really don’t hear the character of the pedal they are demoing. With your videos, what you hear is what you can expect to get. Keep up the great work!
Being just another church guitarist (have been for roughly 18 years), I love that you poke fun at the church guitarist crowd. Heck, I think your overall perspective is awesome and I dig that you don’t take yourself too seriously.
Delay's haven't changed much over the years, I acquired a Levitate and a Sonic Cake mini Reverb/Delay, and played them next to my Boss DD-20 Giga Delay and it does the delay thing well, albeit the Boss is more versatile, but the reverb really makes the Levitate more interesting. It's a nice to have, I can kick off the Boss and kick on the Levitate, it depends on what you're doing on your set up. So if you're on a budget you can't go wrong with the Levitate or the mini Reverb/Delay, can't speak on the other pedals though, I do use a Sonicwood on my acoustic rig and feel no need to upgrade from that, so I definitely recommend Sonicake as a reputable brand that is producing some great budget offerings.
Tough call on the Tremolo... Louder is always better, but the variety of the Sonicake lends more tonal options and faster sine wave patterns. I'm gonna cast my vote for THE WARPED DIMENSION on this one.
I've got the Levitate... love that thing. I really like how they put a wet knob and a dry knob on the Delay side. I do wish however that the Delay was louder. That's the only con I found with it. The Reverb sounds amazing for 50 dollar pedal.
21:44 The Joyo/Harley Benton D-Seed (not D-Seed II) can do 6000 millisecs (that's 6 seconds!) of delay (via tap only). I tried and it's for real. You can hit a note, make yourself some coffee and come back to hear the note when taking your first sip.
Bought the Levitate Delay/Reverb while on sale new off Ebay for $35. I was stunned at how good it sounds and how well it's made. China is winning lately.
I love your playing and feel. You don't use 10 tons of fuzz- unless necessary. Groovy demo- groovy WARPED DIMENSION pedal. Gotta say Levitate is pretty hot too!
Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of time right now, but I saw you guys were actively doing something with pedals, and I gotta say, these tremolo are fantastic, especially with whichever dirt pedal you've got going on! Greetings from Wisconsin! Much love for what you do!
Two Princetons for life! If you take it away, we riot! Loved how much we got today. This might be the longest two princeton jingle I've heard yet. It was glorious.
I was curious about these. Never stop the afford a board. We all no know or can find out about the others but this stuff for lesser known things that can be pretty good is great.
I've noticed that when using modulation pedals, it's like you said. High or low, but then in between you have to treat it like a delay. Time base it. Then you could also tap on the 2&4 or 1&3 etc 6/8 would be 135 or 246 etc. Have fun!
I have the Levitate and the Warped Dimension. I love the Levitate but I’m a little disappointed with the Warped Dimension only because if you turn down level then the volume of your signal goes down with it!
the "flan" in flanger rhymes with "plan". the effect is based on resisting the outer rim (the flange) of a tape reel to vary the tape speed over the head. it's commonly mispronounced with a long "A".
You should check out the Empress Para EQ Deluxe Pedal on that board ❤Knew their was a reason I always liked your channel. God bless brother 🤩Your Ch is a breath of fresh air from my Metal Slaughterhouse 😌Playing😏One year ago I woulda said put the levitate sideways to fit both pedals😋
I was jumping around in the video. I think about 8 seconds into hearing the reverb I was clicking on the amazon link. I'm being good until I hear the delay too.
I hate to say it because it breaks up the mini pedal vibe - the Sonicake gets it hands down for sheer versatility. But Ryan, get Flamma to send you out the FC05, it's a mini modulation with 11 modes for only $40, same innards of the Mooer Mod Factory, and I think it's the swiss army knife for Afford-a-boards that people need to know about.
I have a version of the Mod Factory and it's awesome for the price, takes up less space and sounds better I think. I use the Chorus on it all the time and it sounds better than this thing. I recommend it too. Oh yeah, it has a nice Univibe everyone is always asking for
I guess I'm out of my mind cuz I sort of thought the gag was old about two weeks after you started. It's sort of in the same league as "take my wife, please." But if everyone is gonna lose their sh*t, please feel free to continue. 😂😂😂
The Levitate definitely has my attention! The Tone Group EQ also peaks my interest as I sometimes practice the philosophy of utilizing a good EQ as boost into an overdrive or crunchy amp. The Warped Dimension overall was my least favorite. IMO the Sonicake 5th Dimension is cheaper and just as useable if not more? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Great demo dude! 🖖
Hello God bless you. Thank you for all your videos, they are very helpful. What cheap tremolo pedal would you recommend? I play in a Christian church. Thank you very much for answering.
Frank Sinatra approves the beginning " Afford a board" crooning deluxe song. With that being said, pedals just keep getting better and cheaper! Nice review Sir!
great video really liked it, a great guy with a great guitar playing and this series seems cool. Just bought the levitate seems like a great pedal, maybe I'll get the others. +1 sub
Im a sucker for plate reverb. Levitate sounds nice. The plate does have a spring like quality but is grainy. Real nice on neck pick up but not on bridge
The warped sounds great for $50, better than the settings in the Mooer Multi or Sonicake Muti mini pedals. Is it all digital or are the effect circuits real bucket brigade analogue?
I was the 696th like on this vid and the 696th like on your WHAC IT stupidest pedal shorts video too! What does it mean is it coincidence or proof we are in a simulation? Or do the same 696 guitar nerds across the planet like your videos in the exact same sequence every time?
Is it possible that for the warped dimension, the tap tempo and time knob control two separate modulation sources? That would explain the multi-modulated character. Turn down the time knob to zero, and you have only tap tempo modulation. Turn it up, and you have both.
What a thorough review/ demo. And to think, I nearly threw away $200 on an EarthQuaker delay, reverb pedal. I hear that the EarthQuaker is very noisy, although I like that it's made in the USA. That you say the Levitate is very quiet (I think it was you who said that. I checked a lot of reviews!), this is a big selling point. Thanks!
Stumbled across your show while investigating buying cheap Chinese guitar pedals. Great show by a hugely knowledgable person. Of course the (more money than a bull can shit brigade) will rubbish these pedals. But not everyone because of other commitments can afford to go the more expensive route. There are so many cheap brands out there it is hard to make a decision and shows like yours are a huge help in that regard.
Hey, if you just plug power cable in to sonicake paddle and press the button, will the green light turn on? Or you need to hook your guitar cable to turn on the lights? Appreciate a reply.

No one in their right mind will grow tired of the two princetons. It's as iconic as wiggle stick now.
It's confirmed then, I'm out of my mind.
@@TheChristafershawn oops sorry. My bad
Or "Das wigglesticken" as HP42 referred to it. Wigglestick is international, nay, universal at this point ❤
Yes, and checking out gears from UH-BAE.
Yes, they've grown on me!
"just gonna let it run a bit this time" I HAD NEVER HEARD THE SECOND SECTION and i elect it should last at least 30 seconds EVERY video
That warped dimension pedal is awesome, and I don't usually like modulation effects much.
The Two Princes is a solid bit! These Afford-a-board vids are insightful and the advice is golden.
Man I love the sonicake mini pedals, cool to see this new series
Tough call on the Tremolo... Louder is always better, but the variety of the Sonicake lends more tonal options and faster sine wave patterns. I'm gonna cast my vote for THE WARPED DIMENSION on this one.
On my end, the neon pink looks like Dream-sickle Orange. I do like it.
7:07-7:20 that effect sounds exactly like Dave Navarro’s tone on the intro for the live version of “Ocean Size” by Jane’s Addiction.
Never ever stop the two princes bit. It is tooooooo good, the longer it goes on while you loudly ponder something inane is a genuinely hilarious skit.
I've got the Levitate... love that thing. I really like how they put a wet knob and a dry knob on the Delay side. I do wish however that the Delay was louder. That's the only con I found with it. The Reverb sounds amazing for 50 dollar pedal.

I eee I, will ALWAYS love the two Princetons gag

That Surfliner looks really cool. Can't wait until they are available and I make my impulse 3am purchase. It's bound to happen.
Bought the Levitate Delay/Reverb while on sale new off Ebay for $35. I was stunned at how good it sounds and how well it's made. China is winning lately.

The little green trem is a clear winner, and if you have room for the Sonicake you have room for the little green trem AND a chorus or multi-wiggle
Understatement of the week ..... 14:50 "Oh, that's a bit much!" 🤪
I only tooned in to check you were still using the Two Princes jingle. Well done sir!
never stop the two Princeton's !!!
Hair looks good! Can't beat the price for the Warped Dimension, 4 pedals in one, and it sounds good! Thanks for the demo!
He has the box!
Wrong channel but we dig the enthusiasm 😂
Touché - this was intentional

I adore the "Two Princetons" bit
Just the Right Length on the Princeton Intro ......Chefs Kiss
The two princetons bit is a strong, strong bit.
I have the Levitate and the Warped Dimension. I love the Levitate but I’m a little disappointed with the Warped Dimension only because if you turn down level then the volume of your signal goes down with it!
I’ve got 1 of those smaller Delay pedals and 1 Chorus pedal. They work great. I use that delay w/my PSG.
Nice review! DEL-REV pedal is cool! Just bought it :D All the best !
the "flan" in flanger rhymes with "plan".
the effect is based on resisting the outer rim (the flange) of a tape reel to vary the tape speed over the head.
it's commonly mispronounced with a long "A".
Yet another great demo - thanks!
My pleasure!
Aaaaaaaand we're gonna need a parody commercial where Ryan vouches for graphic EQ in the style of an erectile dysfunction ad.

🎵 New pedals,it's to play em baby, just go ahead now.🎶
It actually looks like 'Tone Grolip' on the pedal. So that is what I shall call it.
Bucking the trend. You need a $2100.00 eco rec & a $3700.00 Leslie tone cab.
Great video! One more vote for the Effects Bakery trem.
Wow! Thank you for exploring these with such helpful explanations. That delicious left brain stuff. Big help. - 💗
So is there a list of whats current on the board? This vids are great also the podcast is epic too!!
I wanna know too! Especially the first board (praise & worship board?)
I was jumping around in the video. I think about 8 seconds into hearing the reverb I was clicking on the amazon link. I'm being good until I hear the delay too.
If that version of the Super-Sonic was a signature model, I'd buy it
I hate to say it because it breaks up the mini pedal vibe - the Sonicake gets it hands down for sheer versatility. The Warped Dimension should make the board because it's much more versatiile and interesting creativily
So crazy how my income hasn't gone up that much but cheap pedals cost what boss did 4 years ago 😂
depends on the boss pedal.
Great time for everyone to ask ourselves why the price tag has gone up on everything except our labour

That flutter on the chorus actually makes it hard for me to hear the slower speed underneath it
Effects Bakery trem no contest.
To my ear, the chorus sounds like it’s going for the EQD Sea Machine thing
THANK YOU TWO PRINCETONS THEME. I HEARD IT FINALLYim72 yrs old🤣👍🏿
I think the effects bakery trem does sound better, but the Sonicake is more versatile... I'd still go with the effects bakery though! -Cheers!
Effects bakery are awesome and cute
Gosh that Levitate is gorgeous….
Hello God bless you. Thank you for all your videos, they are very helpful.
What cheap tremolo pedal would you recommend? I play in a Christian church. Thank you very much for answering.
The jesus christ superstar phaser made by church pedals is the way to go
Louder means you hear more guitar.. match the volume to compare maybe?
Of course if you want a boost. . .
I like the shape of the AFFORD-A-CHURCH
Here looking for a delay for my P&W set up, and I feel totally seen and a bit called out 😅
You can have your Sonicake and play them too!

Bakery trem should stay on board: sometimes, less is more!
i’m filipino and frankly i found that flanger joke berry opensib
I had to read that 3 different times adding slightly more racism each time until I understood what it said 😂 amazing.

Ok Ok Ok,I’ll get a multi band EQ.

The Levitate sounds like much fun for the money. The Warped Dimension, though...no. Just, no. Leave the little green thing on there! 🙂
Ryan, will you send me a guitar if this pedal - Biyang Tonefancier X-Drive OD-8 - becomes your new drive pedal for the affordaboard?

ANYBODY: Does the gain do much? ’ve been looking at this and the Joyo and Donner, 10-band EQs, which don’t add the gain.
