I didn't know the price of these pedals when I first tried them and when I found out I was floored. These pedals bring a lot to the table for $99; Stereo, analog dry through, WILD AND CRAZY MOMENTARY RAMPING! and high quality algorithms that SOUND GREAT! I really think these are going to be the pedals to beat in price and quality.

So glad for the mix knob on these pedals. Would be a great addition to synthesizer setup. Thanks for the great videos and the fun atmosphere well done.
good idea
Sure, since these fx are effectively synth patches to begin with, 50+ years ago.
Pedal fx are basically a defined modular patch in "handier" form, more or less.
These are useful with ANY setup from FOH to mixdown, just get your level and impedance matched and you're good to go with any I/O arrangement.
Only limits are self-imposed - and the buildup of noise, as ever.
Ryan knows I got the Cetus Reverb on Wednesday, lol. I am impressed with this pedal and roughly the same cost as my Flamma FS02 after 20% off coupon. I sent the Flamma back today and put this on my board.
It didn't take long to hit in favorite settings and even got the beginnings of a song from the church setting alone. I am pulling the trigger on more. I already have two delays (3 Series Delay and Oil Can Delay), but tempted to get their delay and the modulation.
I talked with a guy who gave them feedback on the pedals before they were ready to fine tune them. Alabs is a Singapore company by musicians who mainly did podcasting and video conferencing gear and finally delved into pedals. They are not a huge company like Donner or Flamma and none of these pedals are rebrands.
Appreciate the insight on the company!
I can see myself getting this whole line of pedals. You might be right about them disrupting the market. I haven’t bought pedals in years, and I’m considering these.
Isnt this the affordaboard king? 99 bucks? Come on.. might as well by low line JHS...Help someone thats a legend.
Damn...exactly the same thing happens to me...
Wow Ryan thank you!! At this price, it’s almost a no brainer to get these! The aesthetic is so beautiful on top of the quality and ramping features.
They went up in price a bit (I think they're $119), but even still they seem like an amazing deal. I just got the Cetus reverb and I love it so much!
Love the filter joke. That was a great jam. I have bought two of these now thanks to you and also an oceans11. Your videos are so helpful to me!!!
Holy crap thank you for showing these! These are fantastic, especially for that price! 🤯
Great show, Ryan. I ordered the delay as soon as your demo was done.
Great Hawkwind sounds from the modulation pedal.
I feel like boutique pedal brands may be shaking in their boots with this competition lol
There's a billion song intros in that delay pedal alone. Super cool!
This is the demo that sold me on the Cetus. I love spring and use it as my main 'dry' reverb. But I don't need it to drip since I'm more of an ambient/shoegaze player. Awesome sounds, Ryan!
Good shit. The ramping feature reminds me of what GFI systems does with their ORCA delay and SKYLAR reverb. That pitch shifter tho 😍😍😍
Dude you are so funny. Between the two princetons and the hand you crack me up every time (and do great reviews)
I love that you just had an extra hand hanging around for when you needed it. Brilliant.
...and could have used another one @36:00!
Wish you would have used the ramp on reverse. That's a great effect. These pedals had you laughing and that's half the battle. Inspiration + enjoyment = success. Well done, Alabs!
Love your Handy Foot Trigger invention. Gotta give you 11/10 for effort and creativeness for that one. A very handy device. Go go gadget hand!!
Two Princetons! Very impressed with these. I love that you can set the range of the ramp sweeps. I wish Chase Bliss pedals let you adjust the travel distance of the ramping instead of either going to the top or bottom of a knob range.
God these are so fun and that, "The Hand" was so ridiculously funny! Great vid! Ive been hunting for a reverb and this is it without doubt, only thing is I want all these now!
keep up the good work they all sounded great
All hail The Hand! Can't wait for the many superior gear demos coming from that glorious invention in the coming many years.
Dang nice! $20 off right now too. I bought all of them minus the pitch shifter. $80 for each of those is a steal.
I have purchased the Timeslip... it will be arriving April 17th. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I will likely be buying the full line eventually, very impressive! The one thing I found is that they are NOT $99, the Timeslip was $118 plus tax on Amazon, but I think it will be well worth the extra $19... Thanks Ryan for a great demo of these cool pedals!
These pedals are cool and that hand gizmo is brilliant!
That ring mod tho. Never thought I would actually enjoy hearing ring mod effects.
Oh man, I'm so tempted to get the modulation pedal. I wish the tremolp had optipns for waveshape and harmonic tremolo though.
The foot activated hand is genius. Although I thought your solution was going to be a camera on the floor
I love that Wave setting on the reverb pedal.
I did the delay and mod pedal and was equally impressed. You beat me by two weeks though and yours is, of course, better. 🤓
As a noise artist these are really reminding me of my Kaoss pad. Especially that ring mod. Omg this is gonna kick ass for sound design.
These look awesome!
Thnks for the great demo and heads up. They seem great. Your distortion pedal sounds great here also. Please let us know what pedal is that?
I'm really considering this reverb pedal. It sounds nice and interesting and that's the first time I hear this wave setting ever.
You won't regret getting it. It's fun, it's trippy and it can be pretty or even doomy with other effects.
I did a ambient video with the orbiter pitch one, it's nice! I love the graphics and the sounds are great for the money. I want the other 3 now.
Pitch shifter for $89? It will be here tomorrow. Thanks for the demo. You are appreciated.
Watching this with some proper earphones was an absolute delight
They weren't $99 by the time I got to them. Oh well... Anyway, you had a great time with these and made some great fun with them, they're a good set.
Kool sounding pedals! love the delay.
what a great series of pedals!
I still don't know how to fit these infernal pedals onto my bicycle! I will be trying superglue next!
No, you need to wear your pedalboard around you like a giant necklace when biking. If the wind is right, works like a sail to.
well, duct tape works…
Keep trying. Once you them on right the flanger makes your bike sound like a race car and the delay makes it sound like a space ship.
You're doing it wrong. You should gaff tape them to your shoes first. Much easier.
Not funny
I was just about to buy a hall of fame for the new stereo board I am building, and I saw this video. I immediately ordered the cetus, and currently waiting for it to arrive.
How did the Cetus finally turn out?
@@federicokempf7325 for the price it is really great I think, I mainly use the cloudy setting on it. I definitely recommend to give it a try. It is good quality and there arent any kind of issues with it. I am planning to buy a keeley hydra instead of it, because that has tremolo as well, but I am planning on keeping this as well.
The hand is brilliant, bought the reverb pedal, lol sold!
Great demo Ryan ! Give yourself a Hand 🖐😊...
Holy shit these sound good. That ramp stuff is just insane.
Dang, dude! Space ship/alien planetscape for days....
Awesome, I picked up a Cetus and it's very nice. Many +s, only - so far is that the Knob-positions are hard to see in low light (whiteout paint pen to the rescue) next to the blazing LED.
The delay and pitch are the quickest path to that Schulze / Boston "flair" , also some Floyd Gong and Hawkwind transition FX.
The momentary enables this and much more. - thank the synthesizer designers. Momentary (VCA patches) are crucial in performing live synthesis, and almost all our guitar fx were found(or originated) in modular synths decades ago, in one form or another.
Another switch would definitely help "fly it's cape" if in a "v2'. Add at least $20 more to the price, though. You can only add so much more to an "affordable" pedal before it's suddenly... not so affordable.
He be gushing. That’s the tier above dripping
Yeah tell see they are going for the Walrus Audio artwork and vibe. This is where brand loyalty gets challenged by financial loyalty. I love Walrus but....at times it's hard to justify so much for a pedal but their products are amazing. But this is perfect for that other demographic ;) Great Reviews Ryan!
OMG! Pedal UA-camrs everywhere REJOICE! Ryan has solved it all with "The Hand". Trade Mark that ASAP!
This video came out the day I put these in my Amazon cart. I purchased the octave, reverb, and the modulator. Received them today and started playing with them. I love them! Unfortunately, the momentary switch stopped engaging on the octave as soon as rearrange and placed it on the pedal board....🙄
Wow. The ramping stuff is such a cool feature, especially at this price.
Love the hand! ✋
Cetus Reverb is nearly sold out. 7 units left. Wow. That's a heck of a response 🙌
That's a high quality sounding reverb
Also "the hand" is kinda creepy
Competition for the Boss ME90. I really like that overdrive pedal.
well i didn't think you could top Mrs Hum (who was a delight)...but...THE HAND - OMG! another hilarious side-kick, and you were like a kid in a sweetshop with these pedals - it was good to see Sir. great pedals too. i think the tech now means sub-£100 chinese stompboxes will take over from boutique.
24:24 love the Pink Floyd sounds. This might be my new reverb... I never use spring reverb, like ever, so I don't need dripp, but love plate reverb and the other stuff on it. To boot, it's cheaper than a lot of other reverbs like the Ocean's 11, Hall of Fame, RV-6, etc.
If there ever were proggy pedals, these are them. We can now play David Gilmore, Steve Howe, Jeff Beck, etc to our hearts' content.
The hand is back 😂😂😂😂 this guy is amazing
I fully expected him to pull out a midi control board to swap effects. Nope, he invented a fing-longer.
What a great line of pedals really...in China they are doing things well...Alabs, CKK, Caline, M-Vave...
I'm looking forward to buying pedals again! Damn!
Gotta hand it to you with that invention, I thought I was done buying delay pedals
I just got the Novadrift... I haven't tried it in stereo but in mono the effects are just ok. On my board, it didn't play well with other pedals and even alone the effects sounded veiled. I compared it to my old Epitome pedal's Electric Mistress and noticed a huge difference in volume and clarity of the Epitome. Maybe there's a buffer issue with the Novadrift? All the power supplies I tried met the recommended power requirement. I'll keep testing it...
Very impressed.
Thanks for the fun video and pedal info, they seem very unique akin to the EHX stuff but to your point more reasonably priced. Hopefully they will listen to your advice about an extra footswitch to help me avoid having to spend an additional $100 on "Mr Hand" ;+)
You werent kidding. these are pretty wild.
Why are the pedal controls always on the floor? Some pedals had two parts, the controls and the switches.
Maybe a two switch remote option for the floor would work well, with a lot of pedals you can mount closer to hand level.
Bad idea?
The HAND..........will make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams......Way to go, Ryan!!! These pedals are very cool, indeed.....
I’ve been expecting more of this after the MASH on TC Delay and Boss having a few ramp effects on ME-90.
Try using ramping effects during song transitions live and watch your bandmates faces. 😮
These work better than the fickle Mash function. I had the TC delay and it worked when it wanted. This was with mash enabled.
Wow..awesome ! I wanna try all of these on guitar and keyboards....fun.a Really fair price also.
Wow. Blown Away.
Cheap and weird and huge stereo feel. These pedals are calling me 🤯 Great Demo!
I’m tempted to build pedalboard around these 🤔
Man, I would really like to buy one of those hands from you! Signed would be great too! Thx so much
$99 for stereo effects? That's huge. Might end up getting these instead of the TC ones I was going to get. Thanks Ryan! Now do some djent FFS!
Mooer is the pedal to beat in my opinion, they’re stereo series is what I’m using for everything including the preamp X, the reverb and delay are the best I’ve ever heard and the octave pedal allows you to change the tone of the octave’s, fifth, 7th, 9 th etc…
I was just going to get for the amp in a box /cab and headphone pedal. Or for my DAW recordings
Do it! I am s impressed with Mooer, they are going to be the one to buy stock in!
Will buy all 4 and would also like a "the Hand" please :)
I want to know what kind of godawful noises you can make by connecting them in unintended ways. E.g. looping the left output back into the right input, or even more complex cross/feedback loops with multiple pedals.
Oh man. I like the way you think.
lol. Bro, you’re going to make me buy all four of them.
Incredible-sounding and cheap. What more do you want?
Whaaaaaaaaat?! I need that pitch pedal!
Giving my mono Slotva the side-eye rn.
the thumbnail for this video fucking slays algorithmic booty, like "MUAH CHEFS KISS" levels of marketing genius for navigating the modern landscape that is, the YT algorithm. i solute you.
Thanks! I worked hard on it
The hand's a good one.
Waooo I’m impressed by this pedals the possibilities are infinite
Is THE HAND available for purchase?
These sound good enough to buy now
Great demo, I've pulled the trigger on 3 of the 4 pedals. Anyone know what distortion/OD pedal he's using? Sounds great!
He shows it at 3:59 he calls it his “50/50 pedal”?
You should make and market 'The Hand' as a foot-operated desktop pedal control!
Hey Ryan, did you notice if the units remember the last ramp setting after powering down?
They do
What overdrive pedal were you using in this video?
The real question is how much for the hand 2x4 thingy
I think Ryan really deserves a hand for this video…oh wait, he already has one! 🤚
Everybody Loves A Helping Hand!
the hand was unexpected!
I have a tip for the viewers. If you aren’t listening with headphones, that’s fine, just turn your phone sideways bc (at least for my iPhone) when I turn it sideways, I actually do get STEREO audio
I am jaded when it comes to even more pedals but these are great and they have a lot of potential. Top marks for the Jazzmaster, really like the red knob too.
Same. I have my few classics I keep around that work for me like the EP Boost, ODR-1, MI Audio Crunchbox, Line 6 Echo Park, etc.
We need more invention that’s not too far out there. Things that fill in the limitations of a guitar…
Impressed!
Cetus or Oceans 11? Mostly for hall, room, plate and spring reverbs
Holy crap now I know where my next paycheck is going
... But... But... When do pre-orders open for the 'Hand of Hum'??? 😂 Could do it in a kit, like the Notaklon!!!
