Bhagavat Gita in sanskrit literally means the song of God. Gita is basically God directly giving advice to us humans to how to realise truth and attain liberation. In Gita Lord Krishna reveals himself as the complete reincarnation of Paramatma/super soul or the supreme God. Who created the material universe and every living being with his yoga maya or illusion. This is why he says material body and universe is temporary because they are just illusion. The eternal truth is Atma/Paramathma only. People who born in material world are bewildered by material illusion. But they can see through this illusion with knowledge and devotion. He advises Arjuna to trust him and do his duty without desire. By being a Karma yogi one can attain moksha. Also by being a Bhakti yogi or selfless devotion to Krishna one can achieve the same. It is said that Gita must be read 18 times to understand it truly. Each round develops your intellect, and thus every new round seems fresh, with enhanced and better and better understanding and assimilation. I got reminded of this because right now you are trying to encapsule a complete chapter into a 10 -15 minute video. Its a real good start, and I hope a day will come when you will spend days and days analysing, grasping, chewing, smelling, inhaling, exhaling .... every single shloka. You have just laid your hands on nectar, and that's perfectly understandable if you want to gulp it all right now. Soon a day will come when you'll start enjoying each drop to its fullest. I wish you all the best

When you think without You or I Ego ... its so true being without Egoistic When Krishna says 'Worship Me" he is not talking of the Person (the pond as Krishna) but as him as the Ocean as well as the Drop. True Divinity is Simple, Free, Non-Attached to Material Non-Attached does not mean non-Involved. To Understand this Simply .... Look at the Similarity between an F1 Car vs Bugatti vs Van vs Bus vs Lorry vs Train Carriage If you realise that all of them a similar, made of just a Wheel Base with a Chassis on Top ... you will understand the above. The Reality of the Vehicle is of Transportation - which is carried by the Wheel Base. That is its Simple purpose. The Chassis above mere carries you and in its simplest from is made of steering, & seats. But the most of us wow at the luxury of the Chassis and price the vehicle as per our value .. not the reality of the wheel Base being the real transporter. So once you understand the Nature of the Vehicle ... the rest don't seen to matter any more.

Krishna is basically the Non-dual absolute truth. He is the ultimate witness consciousness completely free from material nature called prakrati. He is the pure awareness itself.
What shri Krishna is saying is that His life has no beginning or end and from time immemorial he has taught the Yoga (referring to karma yoga, sankhya yoga and bhaktiyiga etc) to the past kings and who passed it on to their children but unfortunately it seems to have been lost along the lines. He also says that both he and Arjun go way back in time (referring to both their souls or atma that does not die) and he says that he remembers his past (because he is God the super soul responsible for all the other souls which are a part of Him) but Arjuna does not remember his past lives. The best way to understand shri Gita is to read many translations because some teachers have a better way of explaining than others. I have at least three translations and I make my own notes as I go along. The emphasis on Gita is undestanding the philosophy behind it. Shri Krishna himself says in the last chapter that the devotee who spends time trying to understand his teachings (rather than by just reciting the passages or following rituals), is most dear to him. He also says that do not preach my knowledge to a non believer and that is why hindus never became hard core missionaries. We do not force our religion on others. Shri Krishna says in many places that whether you follow the path of karma (karma yoga) an easier path or the path of knowledge (sankhya yoga) a more difficult path, you need a big amount of bhakti to me (devotion) to realise your goal and I am that goal. You come to me and after that you never have to be born again and no more sufferings.

There are majorly 2 dynasties in Ancient India - The Surya Vansh (Solar Dynasty) and the Chandra Vansh (Lunar Dynasty). All others are offshoots. Time came when Kshatriyas who were to protect Dharma became arrogant and started abusing their powers. Parashuram (sixth incarnation of Vishnu) killed all the evil Kshatriyas for 21 generations. Finally, he gave all the land to Sage Kashyap. Kashyap gave this land to his grandson Manu (son of the Surya-Sun God). Manu appointed his son Ikshvaku as the King of all lands. Ikshvaku started the Solar Dynasty and created the Capital of his empire in Ayodhya. Solar Dynasty later expanded and the land was distributed during various generations. After many generations, in the lineage of Ikshvaku was born Shri Ram (the Hero of Ramayana and the 7th Avatar of Vishnu). He was born directly in the genealogy of the Kings of Ayodhya which gave him the authority of Guardian of all Lands which was inherited from Ikshvaku (this part plays an important factor in a specific part of the Ramayana). Ikshvaku's sister was married to the son of Chandra-the Moon God. From them originated the Lunar Dynasty. Mahabharata is set around the story of Kuru lineage of the Lunar Dynasty.
Vivashvan is another name of Sun god and Manu is the son of Sun God. Also Krishna is God in human form. You have to read Gita with this mentality that Krishna is God and Arjuna is human. Well this mentality of presuming Krishna as human will go away in chapter 11.
Yes, you've got the right inkling with the ego! This is not very easily understood. Here when Sri Krishna says all paths lead to me, its not a personal or literal "Me" that is being identified with... Its not an identity based out of his Body and Mind and Ego. So is it the soul speaking? Still not quite... Coz of the identity of the "Atman" is not contained in anything... I don't wanna give any answers but it has to do with the actual nature and identity of the "Atman" in non-dual experience... This wisdom is at quite an advanced level for the spiritual seeker to receive; its not meant to be just cursorily understood.
When Krishna says that both I and you have had rebirths, he’s not referring to the body, but to the consciousness itself. People like you and me have already walked the earth many times. When he says that he remembers his rebirth, he is referring to the sages who were also enlightened like him. And when he says, "Submit to me," it is equivalent to saying, "Submit to the highest and purest form of consciousness." So, he is not talking as a human, but as pure consciousness.
Krishna is not even a human form in the first place. He is the symbol of Pure Essence of whole universe i.e; the Ultimate Witness Consciousness Bliss ever free from the illusion of the separation of observer and observed pair. It's just that the wise sages and knowers set the divine dilog in a way that connects to the heart just like the Yama-Nachiketa samvaad of Katha Upnishad.
Arjuna, he who does not follow the wheel of creation thus set going in this world i.e., does not perform his duties, leads a sinful and sensual life, he lives in vain. He, however, who takes delight in the Self alone and is gratified with the Self, and is contented in the Self, has no duty. In this world that great soul has nothing to gain by action nor by abstaining from action; nor has he selfish dependence of any kind on any creature. Therefore, go on efficiently doing your duty at all times without attachment. Doing work without attachment man attains the Supreme. All living creatures follow their tendencies; even the wise man acts according to the tendencies of his own nature. Of what use is any external restraint? Attraction and repulsion are rooted in all sense- objects. Man should never allow himself to be swayed by them, because they are the two principal enemies standing in the way of his redemption. Oneís own duty, though devoid of merit, is preferable to the duty of another well performed. Even death in the performance of oneís own duty brings blessed- ness; anotherís duty is fraught with fear. The senses are said to be greater than the body; but greater than the senses is the mind. Greater than the mind is the intellect; and what is greater than the intellect is He, the Self. Thus, Arjuna, knowing the Self which is higher than the intellect and subduing the mind by reason, kill this enemy in the form of desire that is hard to overcome. Arjuna, sacrifice through Knowledge is superior to sacrifice performed with material things. For all actions without exception culminate in Knowledge, O son of Kunti. Even if you were the most sinful of all sinners, this Knowledge alone would carry you, like a raft, across all your sins. He who lacks discrimination, is devoid of faith, and is at the same time possessed by doubt, is lost to the spiritual path. For the doubting soul there is neither this world nor the world beyond, nor even happiness. Arjuna, actions do not bind him who has dedicated all his actions to God according to the spirit of Karmayoga, whose doubts have been dispelled by wisdom and who is self-possessed. Therefore, Arjuna slashing to pieces, with the sword of knowledge, this doubt in your heart, born of ignorance, establish yourself in Karmayoga in the shape of even-mindedness, and stand up for the fight.
i think that you need to understand more about karma to understand all that sacrificing thing because how much i understand their is nothing about sacrificing anything to attain spirituality you just have to do right karma to attain that

Thanks to you, you inspired me and i started reading as well. It'll just keep on getting better. I am running through it and I'm at Chapter 7 now
Applaud you for your undertaking of assimilating the essence of Gita!
Sacrifice of wealth doesn't mean to sacrifice wealth but to sacrifice the attachment to wealth❤ if you are not attached to wealth then it doesn't matter if you are richest or poor. ❤❤❤❤
Gita is about Logic, Respect, Knowledge and Trusting God. It is a source of great internal reflection. It is Science.
Ramayan is about Passion, Love, Courage and Loving God. It is a source of great inspiration. It is Art.
Since you connect with hanuman a lot, you might like to know that apart from Arjuna and Sanjay, Hanuman also heard Gita on the battlefield. He was present on top of Arjuna's chariot
I really love to watch your videos so much. I literally wait everyday for you to drop a new video. The amount of Passion and enthusiasm in the way you speak is amazing. And I also get to learn something with every video of yours. I just have a small request, though I don't want to burden you as you have life outside of this too, that just keep the length of your videos around 20 minutes. I will appreciate it so much. The 10 minutes feel so short and just pass in a blink and I keep wanting more.
Anyways, lots of love from India. Hope you do great!❤️
@6:25 you hit the nail on the head
Hare Rama hare Rama Rama Rama hare hare
hare Krishna hare Krishna Krishna Krishna hare hare
When you think without You or I Ego ... its so true being without Egoistic
When Krishna says 'Worship Me" he is not talking of the Person (the pond as Krishna) but as him as the Ocean as well as the Drop.
True Divinity is Simple, Free, Non-Attached to Material
Non-Attached does not mean non-Involved.
To Understand this Simply ....
Look at the Similarity between an F1 Car vs Bugatti vs Van vs Bus vs Lorry vs Train Carriage
If you realise that all of them a similar, made of just a Wheel Base with a Chassis on Top ... you will understand the above.
I was waiting for this video 😊🍀
Yo bro please check out the Bhagwat Geeta explained by Dharma Speaks. He explains it all in English so you will be able to fully understand what it means.
He better read Gita rather than listen to someone else. After finishing this then he can listen to anyone.
@sayandeepbasak257 the problem is that he might take the Geta the wrong way without full explanation, the English version of the Geta is wrong.
@sayandeepbasak257 on some points
@@HazenMaster he is already doing that. He thinks Krishna is a human with wisdom. But let him finish Gita all his questions and confusions will be answered this is the power of Gita only if he is reading Bhagwad Gita with a pure mind to gain knowledge.
@@sayandeepbasak257 what I am trying to say is that, the English version of the Geta is wrong and misguided in some places, and he doesn't know how to read Hindi or Sanskrit. That's why he should actually discuss about it with a Hindu or someone with correct knowledge
A yagna, is a fire ritual to send offerings to the divine and worship it😁
yaah. this is the favorite part of mine where confused arjuna asking who are you and Krishna begins to explain about himself who exactly he is.
Krishna is basically the Non-dual absolute truth. He is the ultimate witness consciousness completely free from material nature called prakrati. He is the pure awareness itself.
6:00 You caught that point so well, a lot of people miss it.
👏👏🔥🔥
Hey man love your videos!
Please checkout the battle of 10 kings present in the Rig veda. You will be able to connect all the other cultures you are mentioning like Druids, the greeks, the nords etc. this will open a new door of thoughts.
Because the earlier rig vedic periods had only Indra as the main deity. Ill leave it there
06:44 GLAD YOU THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND REACHED A CONCLUSION FOR YOURSELF VERY APPRECIATED ONE SHOULDNT BE AFRAID TO QUESTION LOVE FROM BHARAT
He was born directly in the genealogy of the Kings of Ayodhya which gave him the authority of
Guardian of all Lands which was inherited from Ikshvaku (this part plays an important factor in a specific part of the Ramayana).
Well Soilder! At the end of geeta you'll think " why didn't i read this before entering the service "😂😂
Great🎉
Yes, you've got the right inkling with the ego!
Ah was here when the title was chapter 3
Arjuna, he who does not follow the wheel of
creation thus set going in this world i.e., does not
perform his duties, leads a sinful and sensual life,
he lives in vain.
He, however, who takes delight in the Self alone
and is gratified with the Self, and is contented in
the Self, has no duty.
In this world that great soul has nothing
to gain by action nor by abstaining from action;
nor has he selfish dependence of any kind on
any creature.
Therefore, go on efficiently doing your duty
at all times without attachment. Doing work
without attachment man attains the Supreme.
All living creatures follow their tendencies; even
the wise man acts according to the tendencies of
his own nature. Of what use is any external
restraint?
Attraction and repulsion are rooted in all sense-
objects. Man should never allow himself to be
swayed by them, because they are the two principal
enemies standing in the way of his redemption.
Oneís own duty, though devoid of merit, is preferable
to the duty of another well performed. Even death
in the performance of oneís own duty brings blessed-
ness; anotherís duty is fraught with fear.
The senses are said to be greater than the
body; but greater than the senses is the mind.
Greater than the mind is the intellect; and what
is greater than the intellect is He, the Self.
Thus, Arjuna, knowing the Self which is higher
than the intellect and subduing the mind by reason,
kill this enemy in the form of desire that is hard
to overcome.
Arjuna, sacrifice through Knowledge is superior
to sacrifice performed with material things. For
all actions without exception culminate in
Knowledge, O son of Kunti.
Even if you were the most sinful of all sinners,
this Knowledge alone would carry you, like a raft,
across all your sins.
He who lacks discrimination, is devoid of faith,
and is at the same time possessed by doubt, is
lost to the spiritual path. For the doubting soul
there is neither this world nor the world beyond,
nor even happiness.
Arjuna, actions do not bind him who has
dedicated all his actions to God according to the
spirit of Karmayoga, whose doubts have been
dispelled by wisdom and who is self-possessed.
Therefore, Arjuna slashing to pieces, with the
sword of knowledge, this doubt in your heart, born
of ignorance, establish yourself in Karmayoga in
the shape of even-mindedness, and stand up for
the fight.
pls check the title it says chapter 3 which should be chapter 4
🙏🙏🙏🙏
In india we always touch our eleders feet and also of small children . But slowly these practices are vanishing
if u think u've understood it, then u haven't :) also if u r not a meditator, forget about understanding it.
i think that you need to understand more about karma to understand all that sacrificing thing because how much i understand their is nothing about sacrificing anything to attain spirituality you just have to do right karma to attain that
I hope you read my comment because I have a request after you finish reading geeta can you please also read or make a video about ramayana by Valmiki or Tulsidas. Iskon has done very unbiased word-to-word transalation, which is much better than this version that you are reading.
Aye
React on little krishna in English
95 percent Hindus do not have Gita at home and 98 percent don't even know exactly what this book is all about except a few here and there quotes, versus. We Hindus keep all sorts of Prayer books like Chalisa, Arti, Katha etc. But not the book that contains the essense of spirituality.
Spoiler alert btw .. He's indeed going to ask to worship HIM later on...but let's see if you can figure out how he means it actually
Pls bro react to praveen mohan
That is not yana... That is yajnya(like yagnya)
Let me clear why Krishna said "Worship me" but Krishna never said "only worshipped me". Why he said at that time because Krishna was standing in front of Arjuna. Arjun was devotee of Shiva. This is the thing that we have to understand that Krishna and Shiva are one "Tattva" means one consciousness of reality of element. So we have to think deeply why krishna said this. Sorry I am not good at making understand, then also there are many video on that. So I request you to clear your knowledge before giving red flag to that.
Sorry but word "Yoga" is not yoga....but real word is "Yog". Word "Yog' is only used in all scripture. But westerners started calling it "Yoga" thats why you will use in the book also.
You should try reaching out to Aditya Satsangi (Author) from SATTOLOGY channel. He has done extensive research on how most of the European and American pagan cultures were in a way influenced by Hindu way of life. He also has an extensive knowledge of our ancient history like Ramayana and Mahabharata. You should try doing a podcast with him to understand this knowledge well.
‼️Please react to video about 9 SHOCKING FACTS FROM THE QURAN in MercifulServant Channel
Vivasvan is another name of the hindu sun god surya ... Manu is the progenitor of the human race and Ikshvaku is Manu's son the first king of the solar dynasty, this is important Ikshvaku is the great ancestor of Raghu ... and in Raghu's linage the 7th avatar of lord Vishnu i.e. Rama was born ... the same Rama that is the now the 8th avatar of lord Vishnu standing infront of Arjuna as Krishna teaching him this ancient knowledge .... in vedic culture knowledge was passed down from guru to student in an oral tradition for thousands of years before it was ever written down - vedic literature was written down 3500 years ago but that just age of the manuscripts found, the stories in them are thousands of years older
