Rocky is a big, handsome, gentle boy and I think he will always be a big puppy at heart.
All german shepherds are big babies at heart. My GSD was outwardly a alpha dog but when it came time to see a vet, trim his nails and bath him, he was a big baby. Anyway I miss him so much

I've had three German Shepards and they were all very affectionate. They could all easily sense if something was wrong, but most of the time they were pretty mellow, and good with small children!

@begod.6809 Not if you train them correctly. I have a pure bred male German Shepherd that we have not neutered and when he was just 10 weeks old, we started critical training. We paid a trainer and followed up with everything the trainer taught us. So now we have a very educated, well behaved German Shepherd who is only aggressive towards bad people or animals.
Shepherds are lovers. I have 3, and they are very affectionate while still being protective,and playful.
