From birth until I left for college, we always had between 1 and 3 shepherds. This is truly representative of the experience. Anyone considering one, I promise you, you won't regret it.
I've never had a bad one. Big house, small house/garden they are just happy they have us, it seems.
It doesn't matter whether you've been away two weeks, two hours or two minutes. You always get the same welcome when you reappear.

Most people think they are dangerous and aggressive but in fact they are the sweetest, most sensitive and intelligent dogs there are.
I had one in my life. Just like a wife, you never want a second one.
I agree absolutely that they are wonderful. I’ve had four over the years. The last one died recently at 14 years old. I’ll probably get another. Can’t help myself. 😃
Effectivement j'en ai eu plusieurs et aussi des Bergers malinois --Ils ne sont agressifs que en cas d'extrême limite sinon ils sont très doux calmes et joyeux .Et bien sure Very more too Much SMART ! The best of dogs .( Armand -Paris).

GSDs are the one dog I notice seeming to have a sense of humor. I also notice that Rocky is a bit of a talker, another characteristic I enjoy in dogs. A friend had a Rottie years ago, and he was a real talker.
