    Great video guys! As a local expat resident, I think you did a great job of showcasing the island. It is a pity about the weather that day but its best from December to May as a rule for any travelers wanting to visit. All are welcome!

    Another travel option from Bangkok to Trang is by train. There is an overnight express train with First Class and Second Class sleeping cars run by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). The Express Train No. 83 (Bangkok - Trang) departs daily from Bangkok's new central station at Bang Sue at 5:30 pm. and arrives at Trang station in Trang city at 8:50 am. the next day. Then you can arrange for transportation to the dock to catch a ferry to Ko Muk.

      You need a drone permit to use your drone in Thailand. You can get the permit in Bangkok - you simply fill in some paperwork and pay a small fee. No one ever checked us, but by law, you need one.

    2:20 you report the map for the speedboat but not the pier location for the local ferry boat at 2USD. Where do we take this old fashion boat ?
    Edit: never mind, I checked it, same pier as you reported, Khuan Tung Ku, once daily at 1pm.

    Hello. Bit of a long question but hopefully you can help me. We will be in koh lipe and will have to travel back to Krabi airport for a flight. We will have about 8 days to make this journey and hoped to stop at ngai, kradan and muk. Do you think it's possible / affordable / worthwhile trying to do them all? Or would you only do 2 of them? And would you say its better to go to the mainland from muk then to the airport by road? Or ferry back to Ao Nang then to the airport from there? Any and all advice would be massively appreciated, thank you 🙏

    • @TravelRoads
      @TravelRoads  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Sam,
      Possible: yes! You have enough time to see all 3 islands in 8 days.
      Affordable: I don’t know. You need to research your hotel choices and run the numbers. Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai are expensive islands.
      Here are my thoughts: try to do at least Koh Muk and Koh Kradan.
      If you need to skip one island: skip Koh Ngai.
      You could set base on Koh Muk and do day tours to Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai.
      Koh Kradan is worth spending a couple of nights. The color of the water is amazing, and the island is quiet after the daily tours leave sometimes in the afternoon.
      I have only transferred by land from Koh Muk to Krabi. During covid most of the speedboats were shut down. I’m sorry, I cannot advise you on this. Getting from Koh Muk to the mainland is fast. There’s a direct bus from Trang to Krabi airport. It takes about 2.5 hours. The public buses are cheap.
      I hope this helps!
      Have an amazing time in Thailand!!
      Ps- You can find an individual (detailed) video on each of those 4 islands on my channel (Koh Kradan, Koh Ngai, Koh Lipe, Koh Muk)

    Hello, I'd like to visit koh mook in february but I'm reading that sivalai beach, which seems to be the nicest beach on the island is not suitable for swimming and there are lot of sandflies?

    • @TravelRoads
      @TravelRoads  10 місяців тому

      Hi Angelo, Sivalai Beach is gorgeous but not the best for swimming as the beach is shallow at low tide. You can get in the water at high tide, but there are some small waves crashing at the point. You can avoid the sandflies by using coconut oil and making your skin slippery for the tiny beasts. Koh Muk is lesser known and worth seeing, but not the best island for swimming. If you want to swim in amazing water, visit the nearby Koh Kradan.

    • @TravelRoads
      @TravelRoads  Рік тому

      Hi Ed, Koh Mook is a fishing village and most people own a longtail boat. When fishermen are not at sea they rent their services to tourists. There's no problem finding a longtail boat to bring you to the pier. There are travel agencies on Koh Mook you can ask to help you find a private longtail boat to land. You will have to negotiate the price. There are also shared longtail boat departures- ask the travel agency for the schedule. I have traveled from Koh Mook to Koh Ngai by longtail boat. The ride was ok.

      Hello! Thanks for your kind comment and subscription! ❤
      I did not keep the contact details of our boat captain. We simply asked around town and were introduced to him. There are a few tour agencies on the main street. Anyone there will be able to help you.
      If you prefer speaking with someone before you get to Koh Muk, you can try contacting Soon for advice. Soon lives on Koh Muk, owns a small bar, and knows everyone:
      facebook.com/profile.php?id=100035485043484
      In general, do not worry about booking your snorkeling trip in advance. When you arrive on the island you will be able to line up someone to take you on a tour the next day or that same afternoon.
      People are very organized in Thailand. You can rent a private tour or a shared boat depending on if other tourists have expressed interest in going out for the day.
      Super excited about your trip! Enjoy Thailand and Koh Mook!😍
      (+ if you have time, make sure to check out the nearby Koh Kradan. One of my favorite islands!⭐)
      Sometime next week, I will post a video that compares 20+ Thai islands.. maybe some good information in there for your trip.

    thanks for your videos. I have to admit that these are the best videos I've ever seen! A lot of shots of information, really cool.
    I would like to ask one thing. We will go to Koh Muuk by boat, but then we would like to go to the Khuan Tung Ku Pier and then to Trang. Do you think there is any connection between the pier and Trang town? How did you get there?

    • @TravelRoads
      @TravelRoads  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for your kind comment, Nikola. ☺
      The journey from Koh Muk to Khuan Tung Ku Pier and Trang is very easy. Just ask any of the tour agencies on Koh Muk to help you with the boat schedule. There are several options. You can catch a super cheap local boat to Khuan Tung Ku Pier, then take a shared minivan to Trang. Or you can catch a speedboat or a private longtail boat to Khuan Tung Ku Pier, then catch a cab or a shared minivan to Trang. Many locals commute daily and there are plenty of minivans and cabs you can take from Khuan Tung Ku Pier to Trang town. Tour agencies on Kho Muk will typically sell you a combined ticket (boat + minivan) all the way to Trang.
      If you are in Trang Town going to Khuan Tung Ku Pier and Koh Muk, just walk to Trang’s train station. In the little plaza across from the train station, there are many tour agencies that will sell you a combined ticket: minivan + boat to Koh Muk.
      Even if you do not find information online, do not worry. There are several departures a day to and from Koh MukTrang and you will find a way to get there.
      Happy holidays! ❤

The movie received an award in Germany and people got to see Koh Mook and Rinna resort on the big screen (the movie is available here: twoducklingproductions.vhx.tv).
      Thanks so much for watching this video and thanks for your kind words.
      I’m so glad you guys went to Koh Kood. It’s my favorite island in all of Thailand! I’ve been torn if I should put a video up or not. It would be terrible if mass tourism destroys the island. But then again, my channel is so small, nobody will probably see it. 😆
      My idea is to upload an individual video on each Thai island, but for the sake of speed, I am currently working on a video that shows and compares over 20+ Thai islands. This will probably be ready in a week or two.
      From Koh Mook, please make sure to go see Koh Kradan. That’s my second favorite island :)
