Private Matches definitely have tons of potential, it'll be awesome to see all of the game modes people come up with!
I was actually thinking of a type of Juggernaut mode where the game is light levels matter and the enemy players use Test or year 1 weapons and low light armor and the Juggernaut player uses Tier 12 Armor.

I was also thinking of variations of it like Mayhem Juggernaut, where everybody has on that one artifact which gets rid of their Supers except for the Juggernaut.

@bungie, @gameinformer for the integrated grimoire, why not do something like the srl record book or moments of triumph 2 book, and go ahead and have a Grimoire tracker book, and in a way it can be represented as the guardians journal on what he/she discovers out there in their adventures. Maybe add a tracker function like they did for bounties and quests, where you can track progress on let's for instance the grimoire for the soon to come supremacy playlist, where you track youre wins. additionally what would be cool is if certain quests that can relate to the lore provided by a certain grimoire entry. For instance let's say your on a new mission on Venus let's say, and you approach for instance a door/gate/item/area or anything that can entice inspection and your ghost pops up and say maybe something like "hmm that's interesting, according this "?" grimoire entry these hive walls actually "?????"." and you have the referred grimoire card show up on the screen somewhere while the ghosts talks about it. I feel alot of the reason destiny's story and lore is undermined is not because its bad, its because it's not presented in a way that makes the majority of the players really try to figure out what's going on terms of story, it's because you present a mission a in a way of "go shoot things and kill a tank boss" that it pushes players away from really trying figure out what's going in terms of the story. that type of of integration of lore in my opinion would a very exciting blend of lore into the story campaign and could really make the story feel alive.

I agree with this. We need a Grimoire book. Guardians should be able to see their daily, weekly, monthly, and lifetime stats in-game instead of on a website.
Gotta say it's truly incredible how much the team at Bungie has improved the game since vanilla. Destiny 2 will surely hold so much awesome stuff.
Faction battles would be cool in crucible. 6 random FWC players and 6 random dead orbit or new monarchy. Just to see the factions battle would be awesome.

You actually do beat Oryx by the sword logic , which is why you then get touch of malice , which contains the worm inside . There's even a grimoire card about that .
Thank you, finally somebody else understands. The reason why the glowing orb in the Touch of Malice is called the dark heart is because that is the worm that once resided in Oryx. After you killed him, the heart continues to live, and you use it to your advantage.
Actually it's Oryx's heart which is in ToM, not the worm.
our light levels is the sword logic, we gain light levels by defeating enemies and getting more gear thats stronger
id really like to see some filtering and organzation options for the vault. like being able to sort it by attack or light values. or like being able to sort it to have engrams first or last. just stuff like that would be really cool

It is hysterical to watch Ben try to hold in his laughter when Matt is reading usernames.
One minor change I'd like to see is organization of vault space. If items were grouped by at least type it would help. Now it's just a random pile. Organizing can be an ongoing pain. Just keeping, for instance, scouts with scouts. It's a little annoying to have to go through multiple pages looking for something. As it is, I try to keep everything to around or slightly over 1 page which negates multiple pages. I don't expect it to be done by flexible tables (WAY to much work) but by type would be sweet. Maybe add a in-vault comparison along with equipped. That would make it hella easier to find that set up we're looking for.

Whoa, are they talking about exotic engrams collected during year 2 turning into year 3 items if you save them? They don't say it's a for sure thing, but they also don't deny that it does which makes me wonder. Around the 21:00 mark if anyone is interested.

My personally think they should bring the grimore into the game in the form of a library or like an archive that you can bring into the story be sending you there to gather research for a mission or something like that.
I think they misunderstood the Gunsmith question, and the dude was just like "...Ok." He shoulda clarified.

That's how interviews with devs work. If it's something they don't want to discuss further then they won't. No amount of prying will make Bungie talk about something they don't want to talk about

Yep, the thorn quest used to be one of the most satisfying quests to complete. I remember seeing a streamer who wasn't that great at pvp yell and cry of happiness after she finished it.
I'll be honest, failing Black Spindle the first time by a mere second was all of my rage.
As for the Exotic quests and Y1 bounties. They're easy but just very time-consuming.
Chaperone, I boosted the shit out of that in legacy rumble crucible and I'm not afraid to admit it.
Grabbing 2 friends to feed you got it done within half the day.

you still need people to do all end game material. trials, CoE, raid, you're only chance of soloing 335 is iron banner.

with 3 of coins, you don't need to any of the end game activities as your exotic engrams can drop at a higher light, bring you all the way up to 335 quite easily. but it will not be as fast as doing the end game activities.
+Mewes 682 you forget artifacts? as far as I know the only way to get a 335 artifact is in court. I only got mine because a random helped me.

Did I hear that right? Are the Queen's packages getting a light upgrade? I know she can drop updated class items but will this include weapons as well now?
will d pad get properly utilized? currently we have dozens of dance emotes that cost money to get yet we can only use one. dpad needs to be remade creating a multi grid selection or rose wheel. but not just wasted on emotes where lefts could open your emotes right dpad could be set up for quick ammo and up could be a quick consumable window for our rep buffs or 3ofcoins. down could be a hotswap to alternative weapon/gear set up so you can switch your load out in a raid or strike faster but disabled when alive in pvp. just my thoughts on a better dpad especially as the in-game menu is so slow to use on the go.
I like this idea and agree. The d pad could be utilized in a lot more ways..

Honestly I wouldn't blame the. Whether or not the decision is based on who gave them a better contract at the start of destiny or that they simply don't like Microsoft that much. If I remember correctly Microsoft basically took Halo from them as an ip and their previous relationship hurt the players that got destiny on the Xbox.

I don't know about anyone else. But at the court of oryx I've gotten 12 sublime engrams. That seems to be the only place where they drop.
I'm still trying to get my barkhan dune chest piece that's all I need! I wish you luck trying to get that helmet! It's the best helmet in the game for warlocks
+HexTheOutcast i love the helmet. ive had 6 sublime helmet engrams now and ALL of them turned into the azoth bend....so pissed -_- ive grinded court for hours and maybe get one :/ i play destiny around 4-5 hours a night, different things (court, coe, strikes etc) and maybe see 1 or 2 sublimes a week. its rediculous :(

SHOW ME A SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON OF THE ARTIFACT THAT REDUCES/REMOVES SPRINT LOCK PLEASE? I WOULD NOT NORMALLY TYPE IN ALL CAPS THOUGH THIS IS A TOPIC I FEEL STRONGLY ON. So yeah, I would absolutely love to see the differences between scenarios with and without the artifact where it's effects are going to be noticed as I'm an avid hater of sprint lock in it's entirety! :D
Are the only exotics not brought through from year 1 pocket infinity and icebreaker because they might as well just bring them into year 3 as well.
I'm excited about the new ornaments that you can put on your exotic weapons but the question I have is will you have to read by your exotic weapons the same like you didn't taken king or can you just when rise of iron comes out you can automatically put ornaments on those Exotics or will you have to rebuy them again? cuz if you have to rebuy them again it's going to suck

ik the intentions of exotics quests are good but having most of the desired weapons as being quest rewards kills the game tbh- if you just look at year 1 its obvious that many people grinded the raid each week for gjallarhorn not becuase the raid was just super fun, handing out these guns removes the motivation to play the game- i was so hyped to grind everything in hope to get a new thorn but instead i can just quest it and be done, same thing with 3oC... takes the exotic feeling out of the exotics when everyone has it and its easy to get- this game was never for casual players and i know thats where the money is but paid DLC and eververse should cover that, let the grindy hardcore player have a game that last a long time dont drop the game to casual standards.
Nicely put. I had a feeling that once 3oC were introduced that removing them would never happen. Destiny is a game that was predicated on grinding and feeling that sense of accomplishment that came with dropping those weapons and armor. I wouldn't buy Forza and then be pissed that there is too much driving in the game. I can still remember when Ghorn, icebreaker, VoC, fatebringer, etc. dropped but most year 2 shit was decoding an engram from the Cryptarch. Year 1 wasn't perfect but to me it was a helluva lot better than the participation trophy that everyone got in year 2.

I'm referring to similar oddities as prowling wolves (Fallen appearing in a way never seen before) and blade of Crota (same thing, but with Hives), prior to upcoming DLC's.

The best questions went unanswered. Do raid guns have static perks? These are the two heads of the entire expansion and neither of them know?! Do pre-ROI engrams decode at a higher light? They refuse to answer. What will be the light level of vendor items? Again a refusal to answer.
I was hoping for answers related to progression, and I got none.
Did they mention that weapons would be reworked? I want to be able to use a an AR competiviely, one that isn't of the Doctrine archetype.
When asked if there was going to be a weapons tuning update, their answer was confusing. They didn't know whether to answer that question with a yes or no, so I interpreted it as a no. To me, it sounds like there will not be a major weapons tuning (balance) update prior to or at ROI's release, but they are constantly watching data and doing analysis to tweak the balance of the crucible.
Vendor items are 360. All vendor items used in all gameplay released so far have been 360, with no xp on anything.
Pre-roi engrams will not drop higher. They never have before, they wouldn't start now.

Oh my GOD 50 minutes? can someone reply me with the highlights?
Just a few highlights that stuck out to me:
1. Daily Crucible bounties progress in Private Matches but Weekly bounties & Quests do not.
2. There is at least 1 Exotic weapon quest not revealed yet (2 revealed already; ghorn/kovostov)
3. Thorn is not changing stat wise except getting a light level boost
4. Faction bounties allow you to choose weapon or armor or "chroma gear" (not new news)
5. New Currency: Silver Dust, acquired from Radiant Treasures will be used for cosmetics, mostly (I think).
6. Faction Packages are getting a light level boost. That level is still being considered to this date.
7. Trials will get new maps and gear (you might already know this)
8. Raid gear question dodged: "will raid gear have static perks like VoG/Crota or varied like KF?"
9. Very cool features in the new social space.
10. New Trophies
11. No new ways to tell the Lore of Destiny. Same as TTK.
12. PlayStation exclusives will continue until September 2017.
13. Future franchise planning question dodged: "Will our Guardians have some effect on Destiny's 10-year life-span?"
14. Kovostove quest-line available on day one.
15. Day one starts 2am that Tuesday. Pre-download available.

No, sterling treasures will be replaced by radiant treasures thus the desolate and spektar gear will either not be offered anymore or they will have to bought with silver

you can either land in the old or new Cosmodrone, the choice is yours (I would imagine you get better gear and harder enemies in the new Old Russia though)
