    Griffith, thanks for sharing this great video. Your explanations are clear and easy to follow, which I believe most viewers appreciate. What sets your video apart is how you don't hide your mistakes. The hole drilled in the wrong place, the saw that falls down, the drill you couldn't find, oh and smacking your head on the table! I love that stuff. You're smart to keep it in. Nobody's perfect, except the editors. Cheers.

    I'm used to larger, corded routers ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.

    Gotta say, I love anything that expands the functionality of these little job saws. I know a lot of devout hobbyists give them flack for their limitations, but as more of a generalized maker rather than a devout woodworking enthusiast, these's a lot to be said for the space these little babies free up in my workshop.

    This is awesome! This solves so many problems for my workshop. I especially like your flip-top add-on for the miter saw.

    Love this, simple plan easy to modify to fit my personal needs. Just started woodworking full time so this will be perfect thank you. Gonna make one this week I'll send you pic of how it turns out.

    Really good! Probably the only thing I would add is drawers to fill some of the empty air space under it and place all screws, bolts, jigs and whatever I have on it. I will soon buy my first table saw and Im looking at all kind of workbenches around to get some ideas, my space is not limited but its not safe so the bench I build has to be mobile so I can store it in a small shed I have (10' x 6' with a 48" wide door opening) to prevent lurking eyes to take away the table saw and miter saw.

    Good video and great job on the bench, I''m finishing one that's similar. Minor critique to the video - next time try to angle the camera/bench closer to what you're showing off. I was interested in how/what you did underneath the bench but found it difficult to really take it all in since the camera was further away. You did a great job and obviously carefully planned your storage solutions, show it off. Thank you again for the video.

      haha. Just for clarification though, only the top was for the kitchen table. Those supports the top is sitting on was just something I threw together to use as a work bench.

    Thanks for the video. I love it and am also going to build something just like this. More pictures during construction or explanations probably would have been helpful. Like someone else said I am trying to guess at few things...how the underneath is built, how the casters are mounted and what you used for fasteners on the frame.

  • @bennybologna1471
    @bennybologna1471 5 років тому +1

    I like the idea, but I'm sure the table saw and router are dust nightmares for getting into the tools underneath. Did you ever put in a dust collection system for the router and saw?

    • @griffithwoodworking6661
      @griffithwoodworking6661  5 років тому +1

      I do have a hose permanently connected to the table saw that I can quickly hook up to my shop vac. But I honestly don't use the router enough to worry about it. I just wipe off the dust on the tools underneath when I'm getting them out to use.

    What tool did you use to cut that table saw rails that adjust so clean and straight?

    • @griffithwoodworking6661
      @griffithwoodworking6661  5 років тому +1

      I used a circular saw with a temporary fence clamped to the table top. I made sure I set the the circular saw blade deep enough to only cut through enough of the 2x6 side board to allow the table saw fence rails to move through. This allowed me to keep the structural integrity of the bottom half of the 2x6.

    I’m in the middle of a build just like this. What Model Dewalt table saw? How do u like it? I have my frame built but can’t decide on a table saw to finish the build. By the way that bench looks awesome!

    • @griffithwoodworking6661
      @griffithwoodworking6661  5 років тому +1

      Hey Todd! The table saw is a DEWALT DWE7480. It was a black friday special and it came with a stand that now I have no use for. So far the table saw has worked perfect, especially with being built into the bench. It's nice and sturdy. This was a fun build. I'm currently working on making a flip top section for my miter saw. So subscribe if you'd like and you won't miss that upcoming video. Thanks!

    New subscriber based on this bench. Would you share the height? I get that it’s 4X8 but the height? I’ll do the math to account for the 3” casters and 3/4 top!! 😁🤣 so just the overall height?

      I didn't have anything on paper. I knew I wanted the top to be a full sheet size (4x8) so I started there and created it as I went along. If I get some free time soon, I'll try to put together the plans and cut list for it.
