For those of us who've grown up in the great state of West Virginia, it holds a special place in our hearts. Whether it's its the natural scenery we have or the family that is here, there's something about our "home among...

Part 3 - Miter Saw Flip Top for Ultimate Mobile Workbench
Переглядів 65 тис.5 років тому
This is Part 3 of a three-part series showing how I built my Miter Saw into my Ultimate Rolling Workbench using a flip top. The flip top allows me to use my miter saw at the level of my workbench for cutting big long boards, and then flipping it underneath to store when not in use, allowing the full workbench top to be available.

Ultimate Rolling Storage Workbench with Built-In Table Saw and Router

See my new storage workbench with a built in table saw and router table. It has much needed tool storage below and can roll anywhere.
I also like the idea that you showed your mistakes and bumped your head. I can totally relate. When you’re creating as you go, getting past the challenges is huge. Thanks!
Well done. I think I might have gone with a barrel bolt kind of set up to lock it in? Both front and back could have been locked in with the same bolt perhaps? Idk. Maybe that’s an idea you considered and discarded. But i like the setup!
Cool 😎
What measures you have taken that free new moves during storm should not affect treehouse
you should renovate it
Lot of work just to please kid . Not me ,learned my lesson. Lol
Brilliant video, but man, that music is too distracting and loud. I made it to about 6 minutes and couldn't watch with sound anymore
Thank you so much .. I was looking for this tutorial in the whole off the UA-cam couldn’t find any .. sourcing from other shop was costing me a lot and if I go to our Local Miter 10 I can show it to them and buy and get it prepared in a very cheap price. Thanks again
Not sure if you mentioned the fact that your chop saw will straddle the bar in the previous videos. Sadly the base of my saw will not do this so I’m back to the drawing board, as they say.
Looks like if you are pushing big sheets through the table saw it will catch the edge of that cut out you made. Maybe it’s an illusion but I can clearly see the gap.
Did you end up doing a stand alone video of your rope railing? Very cool!
How did you attach the floor frame to the main two beams?
Nicely done. I plan to build an assembly table with my table saw and miter saw on flip tops. I don't have the table so I was thinking it might be a good idea to build the flip tops and then build the table around it. What are your thoughs on this idea.
Do you think something like this is possible but with a table saw swinging out?
This is cool but I’d probably figure out away the make a removable back board as well

very nice. I wanna do th same. Do you have instructions for this please?
great im building a treehouse today and this is helped me a lot even though i havent started
I wanted to let you know that your videos helped me build a tree house for my kids! Thanks so much!
great job
I couldn’t hear past the mustache! lol Just kidding! Awesome workbench
That's great! They're smaller than the lag bolts I was looking at so you certainly reassured me, thank you very much. It's taken a few days to find some videos without those crazy expensive tree mounting bolts people are using
good video must be 3rd time watching and the best thing no speed video and a great walk through of the build
Your video has helped me a lot!
thank you
Great video
Just one question. The point of putting a steel bar with an aluminium sleeve was to prevent wear and warping of an alternative simple hole which would be drilled straight through the wood. Wouldn't the same apply with the lockibg pins, who's holes are drilled straight through the wood? It seems like the same problem will arise over time.
I like that you've included the mistakes. Something a lot of videos edit out and it makes no sense because there are always mistakes and corrections when doing something for the first time. Good video.
Watching a woodworker try to work with steel is entertaining.
Griffith, imma need some schematics so I can build the exact table lol.
Nice to hear it survived for 3 years
Why did you attack the floor to the tree? Why not leave the tree braces unattached and on rails so the trees can move?
Nice job 😊
Just finished up the same tree house for my three boys. They are enjoying it and it looks great. Love the style tree house and thank you for giving us a run down on the build. Wish I can post it in the comments but unfortunately it won’t let me. Now to add a slide and a zip line! Thanks again.
Interesting video.. hopefully, you have graduated to cordless drivers over that corded Hitachi... I wouldn't use the peg for a lock. I think throw bolts on the outer edge would be easier to manipulate while working. I do like how you showed the mistakes in the video, it shows your human... LOL Overall good job.
Death trap.
Well done so what kind of bolt did you use for attaching the lag to the support board? It sure wasn't the TAB( tree attachment bolt)
How is the treehouse holding up now?
Cordless impact driver!
Good work but with that drill wow 😅 the point is doing for The kids that’s the more Important thing
Long live your hands as we say in my counry Iraq . It is fabulous
What height is the platform from the ground? About 8 feet? Great videos!
Nice job!
Using a corded drill to set pocket screws doesn’t work well for me
Great job the boys will love it 👍
Bad idea anchoring base boards directly to the tree.. should hook them up with brackets that allow it to move as the trees move in the wind
Well done sir. I'm not laughing at you. God bless you and your family.
Incredible. You four were terrific! 👍
Nice job Dad!
