It was time to update one of my older videos! How are you making your presentation more interactive and engaging for students and listeners? Let me know in the comments!
Bonus tip, I also do one large overlay over each slide that links to the current slide, and make sure the order of the "buttons" are in front of that. That way it doesn't accidentally auto advance if, say, I go to click on mercury but accidentally click outside the boundary. Otherwise, you can click anywhere and it will advance like a typical slide.
I know that in PowerPoint, if you use the action buttons in kiosk mode, ONLY the action buttons will move you onto a different screen. Is there a way to do that in google slides as well? Because in this example if they clicked anywhere on the slide presentation it would advance them through the slides, regardless of the action buttons, correct?
The way I resolved this was by having a transparent rectangle on top of my background which redirects to the first slide. It's not ideal, but does the trick.
Does this work when exported as ppt and played without the internet? I would like to try it, but I have a classroom without the net, so my student would have to use ppt presentation instead G. Slides
This is currently not supported, however, you can have the audio as a video file on google drive and insert it that way. Make it very small and leave it outside of your canvas. When you have auto-play turned on the audio (video file) will start playing as you open the slide. I use this workaround all the time, especially when creating slides for use in class.
+Christos Potamianos I knew this comment was going to follow. Yes Pluto is one of the dwarf planets. However, for the sake of this demonstration the image was a perfect example and Pluto happened to still be on the image. If you want the label could clearly state that Pluto is a dwarf planet and you can even link to an external slide with all other dwarfs. Thank you for your comment ;-)
