Videos back to their normal schedule (Mondays) From next week! Also, yes, I am aware I had a bit of t-shirt fluff stuck to my face for half this video...I'M SORRY! Catch me live on Twitch 4 days a week here! www.twitch.tv/xtwoshoes
This is why I love channels that are around 3k they have a true dedication and absolutely no fluff. Straight to business. Good fortune on your journey buddy.
Ive been streaming the past 3 months to only 4 viewers but that never disappointed me. They always show up no matter what game i played. Something i learned very early on is that its a marathon, not a sprint. Amazing content you have been putting out and im seeing that growth on your channel. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
Thank you for this! I actually noticed I had more unique viewers when streaming single player games than on my OW streams, and I can definitely see how that happens. I see OW streams EVERYWHERE, so I'd have to catch clips and highlights worthy of sharing elsewhere. However, with a story-based game, viewers are along for the ride with me whether I'm playing well that night or not. Great mythbusting, thank you!
Hey x2. Another informative video . I have been implementing your tips and tricks for a short time now . And I am seeing good results . Only been affiliate now for 4 weeks . However I have been streaming on twitch for over 6 months. I started implementing your tips seriously when I hit affiliate. An I have seen some good growth. I went from 50 followes to 163 in less than 4 weeks . And been getting as many as 26 viewers at one time . Still averaging around 8 people in a 3 hour stream. But just wanted to let you know .......... you advice has helped me tremendously. And I know many other people too. Thanks again for the videos . Keep killing it man. Your future is going to be big . Look forward to the other videos . Peace out ✌️
One issue that has always given me anxiety about growth and discoverability is I play a different game on stream depending on the day of the week. I know its better to stick with and focus on one game at a time, but I can't put that much time into a game and like my schedule. This is probably a stupid and very specific issue but I wanted anyone's thoughts on this. Keep up the good work dude, I love seeing your new content and tips
Tbh I see nothing wrong with that! I do the same thing. I have different games for different days. So currently, Tuesdays and Wednesday are typically my Bloodborne playthrough and Friday is Crash Bandicoot or something random. You do YOU. What ever you feel like you will have the most fun with, do that. Took me a long time to realise that most viewers come for the streamer, not the game:) Keep killing it!
Mate can I say, I'm so proud of you. You've had one blow up vid on YT and you've stayed consistent, your Thumbnails are getting better, your editing. I've noticed and I just want to say keep up the great work. I need to be in your streams alot more and I will. But just please continue to make awesome content, we are here for it 💚
The copyright thing is one to be careful of! Going to work on a playlist royalty free. Solid video! Well done! Hope you are good lad! All the best Rox.
I was absolutely shocked when I heard you say "hey man, I've only been streaming for 3 weeks with four viewers" I've been streaming for many months with one viewer 😂
Yea branching out to other platforms is something that I want to do just posting clips and stuff from my twitch but I’ve just never pulled the trigger on it.
Thanks you for the reality of the discoverable stuff!! As a twitch consumer I always look at those that say its not discoverable with weird head tilt. Like have these guy ever stepped out of content creator mode and tried to use these platforms as a viewer? Twitch is literally a 1:1 of youtube on its pros and cons and of course twitch just sky dives ahead for live streaming. Trying to find live streams for a given genre on UA-cam is like inserting needles into ones eyes. I wish discoverabilty as a word would just F off as the reality is the word should be marketing! Its all marketing, and its the same no matter the platform you need to market yourself out there so people know or come across your posts to tell people about either your videos as a youtuber or streams as a love streamer. Anyway rant over, thanks for touching on this aspect, its just something I think is passed down from big creators who havnt consumed for years etc
Thanks so much for the insight! I feel like twitch will at some stage add some more discoverability but for now, streamers just need to create their own:)
its really nice to hear that its normal to not instantly blow up. my anxiety is always telling me to compare myself with all the other small streamers that get 200-500 followers a month :(
I stumbled across your video. Great advice. I do what you do 2-3hrs max. I do need to learn more about using discord. Do you have a video about that? Also I was wondering your thoughts on deciding what game to stream? There are so many games to play so if a billion people are playing apex or warzone is it worth playing that.
Curious on the thought of what happens when you change a game. Is there an expectation of a drop in viewership ? Or should there be an uptick ? Thoughts
I really appreciate all the advice you give. It helps a lot I just started in March and hit affiliate a week ago. Only thing I struggle with deciding on what games to play.
Without meaning to be intrusive what are the actual benefits of partnership vs affiliate? Do you keep more revenue or have extra ways to make it? I know there’s a few extra support features ect but what’s the main differences?
So I currently am not a partner, but hope to re submit my application soon:) You basically receive priority on twitch for things like encoding, support etc. You also receive a small partner tick beside your name. In terms of revenue, I believe it stays the same but it is just a goal for most streamers:)
Really great vids, happy to see you growing on UA-cam! I started with twitch in January and have started the tik tok grind and the growth since has been surprising! Your videos really help😊 thanks bro x
what if you say something i stream 3 hours a day i talk maybe i talk too much though i think people do not chat or read chat also equipment is good too upgrade though cause i used a headset mic i used a astro a 40 tr 2016 first gen models before the 2019 upgrade. the left speaker died on my 6 year owning it then my USB microphone i used for 2 years lasted till the audio in my mic sound muffled and odd cable would go out i used a fine fine k669b mic and the paint of the mic was chipping away. then my last mic my second headset mic was steel series artic 3 well last me 1 year mic is dying on life support now . then after that, my last mic upgrade is a Elgato wave 3 microphones i like the mic but the software is shit. also, i used a Chinese 26$ facecam last me 6 months. then i upgrade too my logitech c920 s pro facecam i love the upgrades i did . well other channels for some reason blow up for 1 year on streaming and 6 months i been streaming for 3 years i had 3 viewers lol i will not quit .
Some great points here as always, totally agree on the having a life outside of twitch and what ever content you create. Cant believe someone would be much of a prick to give out to you about not responding to a message... I have one caveat to the dress part, this is very subjective to who your talking to (just based on my own p[professional experience). And we all look scruffy the god damn barbers need to open soon! Keep it up dude these are always great!
Thanks bud! Yeah I think that point is definetly subjective as you may be aware of the person in some capacity and understand their manner but if you don't and can help to dress it up a little. And yes, I need a haircut too...BAD haha. Cheers dude!

Excuse me Dan, that is exclusively how I show up to interviews.
Fair point haha

For sure! Seems so straightforward now, but I do still see a lot of people making that mistake. Thanks pal!
You should make a podcast about streaming tips!
Was thinking about this before...;)
@@xTwoShoes You really should do it! I'd listen to it all the time

Thanks my man!

Glad it was helpful! Thanks Ben!
A lot of really sound advice! And like someone else said, super comprehensive information. Can’t wait to see your channel blow up 😄
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it:D
fantastic video! I was just wondering, do you think that a facecam is vital to growing on twitch?
I think its down to the streamer:) Two of my favourite streamers don't use cameras and they are both partners!
That one dislike is from the guy who plays Post Malone all day
Or maybe it WAS Post Malone?!
Curious on the thought of what happens when you change a game. Is there an expectation of a drop in viewership ? Or should there be an uptick ? Thoughts
Kinda touch on this in my latest video:) Might answer your question a bit!
