I was watching this before bed, and had a dream that Gianmarco did a set at a coffee shop to test jokes. He asked the audience why a particular joke didn’t land with them, and I said, “I think it would hit harder if you removed the last sentence.” And he replied, “wow thank you for telling me how to do my job.” Everyone laughed and I was devastated because I really thought he was asking for a second opinion. At one point he said, “We’ve got a real Hollywood over here.” And I started crying and said, “I’m from Ohio.” And left….. WTF

Recently learned about Jeff and gianmarco, seeing them together is freaking amazing! Love the work guys.
I really resonate with what gianmarco says about sort of mourning the version of the family you never got, the one that actually gets along. But also haha podcast funny
I love Jeff. I watch his shorts at least weekly since being introduced to him here.
I remember when I got diagnosed w ADD, my mom was hesitant to get medicine for me, then in 5th grade my grades went from A/B average to C/D and she got me on concerta (different family from adderall w less side effects) and the concerta worked for me for many years until I was in college and had built up enough resistance that I needed an absurd dose, so they switched me to adderall. At this point I can generally cope w my ADD, it's been a few years since I have taken anything, but I would def be more normal w adderall. I just feel like I only need it when there is something SUPER important that needs a lot of focus.
I remember finally getting medicine for the first time though and coming home telling my mom "whoa today was crazy, I could listen to someone and think at the same time, and I could think 2 different sentences at the same time in my head if I tried"
damn, I need to refill my prescription. two days without the AD and Gian Marco's little rant about wasting his childhood made me cry 😀
"pot, kettle" is what I'm guilty of using. but now I'm inspired... I'm gonna yell out "BIRDS!" or "STONES. HOUSES! " and point randomly in the direction of where this "house" is and where the "stones" are coming from.

Funny thing I managed to stump the akinator with you today. It literally had no clue asked the question "is your character into podcasts?" and "are they a standup comedian?" FOUR TIMES!! . The hilarious thing they kept asking if you were into drugs or were fat. I swear it seems lame but you should totally try it. Totally worth every second.

Two comments (mid listening to this on a way to work :) )
1. If your father is partially Italian (lets say half), you only can be 25% Italian at best if his family never ever breeded with non Italians. But you need to understand, that we do travel in Europe :D True story. So "pure" Italian herritage is rare even if your whole family lives there for a generations. I mean it takes one grandpa who traveled from Poland to make it 12 %, one grandma whos parents moved from UK to make it 6 % and so on. I mean we mix and match, we do not aspire for a Slytherin 😮
There's no Italians in my family line I know of and yet I have like 4%. It's common, doesn't make the test wrong. Doesn't make your father less Italian too.
Btw I found my biological brother I've never heard of with this test last year. That was fun 😅
2. Our friend is a stand up comedian and we asked him to marry us. I mean he can't legally, so he had 15 minutes stand up at the altar right at the ceremony about us. Honestly, best wedding I've ever attended. After his speech, the lady from registry office just jumped in with the essentials, I do, I do, rings, kiss, done in 2 minutes.
He sat us down in advance, we talked about our relationship, the history, our family, then we had a chats in separate, talked about each other flaws, weird habits and shit. I guess it's not for everyone to be grilled at his own wedding ceremony, but he did it kind and loving way and obviously included only the things we told him, so no hard feelings. I loved it, everyone laughed so hard, took the pressure of everything.
If I had thought of it, a comedian to start my wedding ceremony would have been rad!

gianmarco! a little tip about the adderall thing-so recent research suggests that adderall shouldn't be given to anyone above 18 because the side effects get too intense or that it just... isn't as ideal for adults with adhd. instead, they'll put you on either concerta, ritalin, or vyvanse. and these medicines are not really always a one-size fits all so definitely work with your psychiatrist to find which one works best. like what jeff said with his experience, that does happen. though i imagine he'd feel much better if he took something like ritalin or concerta. it's all about how the medicine is compatible with your brain.
if you do get diagnosed, i hope it opens up new avenues for you to explore yourself and the way you function. it's a wonderful journey of self love and understanding to go on. but there is also a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to adhd so i would suggest that you keep educating yourself instead of taking anyone's word on it.

37:13 i did ok in elementary through high school, it was college that really stressed me out, such long classes every single day and only a few classes per semester was just draining, i liked when youd have 7 classes a day or A,B days because it felt like there was more variety. I really don't know how ill get through a bachelors degree to teach elementary school. I guess now they're not requiring a bachelor's degree but i feel like i need to do more than an associates degree to feel like im qualified. I liked Montessori because it was more hands on, regular school was worksheet after worksheet.

I had undiagnosed Tourettes for years because multiple psychiatrists didn't bother doing extra work to figure out why I had tics. I thought I had no self control, I was pissed at those doctors when I diagnosed MYSELF. "Oh yeah I guess it is Tourettes..."
Gianmarco is like "we can openly talk about negative things here" then "how Italian are you?" even before Jeff finishes answering how he's doing...then a B line to incest.
On the poly/open point, as a Sicilian-American man, I know 0 Italian/Italian-American men in open relationships. Have met 100s of poly people in the community in Cambridge, MA.
