Excellent! Best day in a pilots life, will never forget my first solos, first one in a glider (Ka8) and second one, some years later in a Katana (DV20). Btw: the aircraft in the video is not a Katana, as one of the commenters suggests.
No sweat! Very well done. I remember on my first solo my right leg was shaking a little while applying rudder pressure during the climb out. After getting into the pattern I began to just settle in and do what I was trained. That first time is a thrill and I always remembered that when I later became a flight instructor and had to push fledglings out of the nest.
I recall instructor having me taxi to tower. He said give me you papers. Started to get out and I said were y going. He replied go do touch and goes I be watching u from tower. My right knee and leg just started going up and down. Had to put my hand on knee to stop it from jumping. I really had some bumpy I thought landings. He said I did fine. Was 1978. Sure wish we had cameras in our pockets then. Regret I never got any photos of any flights or in plane.
This was your first solo?! I tip my hat to you! I thought the VS was broken it was so perfectly still until you wanted to descend. Glued to the centre line during take-off and approach/landing. All this with a "steam cockpit", true stick and rudder flying. I'm envious - my first solo sure did not look like that!
@@pjsministry7316 Did you mean me - or misdirected it at the person in the video? Myself I solo'd in a C172 over 20 years ago. Sadly I have since lost my medical and can no longer fly anything but sims at home.
@@michaelhoffmann2891 Sorry Michael, I actually met the young lady. You can still fly if you get the new Sport Certification. I also can't get a medical but am getting my Sport now. Chaplain Billy
@@pjsministry7316 Sadly, it's my eyes. You can't fly when you are either nearly blind or need to wear 4 different kind of multi-focals. If the choice is "see the runway or see the instruments or see the map or see other traffic" and they don't overlap, you're screwed. 😭
Wow....that is so cool with that very open cockpit. I almost thought that you should be wearing a helmet. Great visibility. Congratulations on your first flight; a while ago now.
cool landing! The crazy thing about clouds is one cannot easily fly through them and voila there is the sun. Sometimes there are many layers of clouds until one is completely above.
Congratulations!! "I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth. Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things. You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung."
I love how nice of a view all that glass gives you but I'd be scared to find out what would happen during a crash landing. Would be awful to have it all shatter on top of you D=
I remember my qualifying - Stapleford (Essex) to Lydd (Kent) via Shoreham. About 10 miles out & going over the QEII bridge I just saw this haze in front of me & thought - "That's it! I'm going to die!" Of course the haze disappeared as I got to it & I made the flight. In those days there was no GPS backup so all ded reckoning! There was a guy who made that flight a few days before as a qualifier who forgot to put the tank caps back on the wings of the 152 he was flying & pissed kerosene all the way!
Niina Walveranta i would like to ask you is it easy to fly i've never done it i really want to do it , can you gimmie some advices ? sorry for my english i'm a french guy
Humberto Vallejo see if there is a small airport near you and look up a flight school, then just go there with your passport and ask for a discovery flight
From a non-pilot perspective, this pilot looks like a pro. Calm, cool, and in control. Great job.

I am proud of you sister. Great, superb, awesome ....
I love small planes. You rotated without even getting to the piano keys!

Первый раз немного плюхнула самолет о полосу. Второй раз очень хорошо посадила👏
Too smooth. Great looking aircraft. 👍👌
I remember my first solo ...... if you never fly again its worth it! Mine was just once around the circuit though!
Amazing Job. Great touch. I’m pretty sure you will be a really good pilot.
Just went to the flight museum and youtube recommend this. handles really smooth
Awesome landing, proud of you 👏!

It must feel unbelievable to have the ability to fly
all it takes is money. nothing special about learning to fly. In some respects it is actually easier than learning to drive. go do it.

Nice job Niina. Congrats, and keep going!
Un grand bravo , big like!!!!!!!! nice video!!!!!
Great job! Touch and goes on your first solo? That’s pretty advanced
Most countries in Europe require two take offs and landings for a successful solo certification.
Are you kidding? We do 30 touch and goes in first solo.
That was awesome! Subscribed!
Great video!
Nice landing!!
Good job! What is this plane?
おめでとう!
